My motorcycle has a huge petrol leak |S7E56|

  • In this episode, I am riding from lake Bosomtwe towards the border with Togo. I have to split this ride into two because I need to catch a ferry that runs only at 10:30 in the morning and I won't make it to the ferry before that time. So I'll spend one night in a town 30 kilometers from the ferry and continue the next day. Unfortunately, my rear tank is no longer connected to my main tank, resulting in all the petrol leaking out of there. Note to self - do not use rear tank until fixed..

She's got this whole personal security thing figured out. When asked for her number, clearly NOT for security reasons, she politely declined without a no, braved the awkward pause without reengaging into the conversation, actively used the polite non-stare to look at the female officer. Sure, the cameras help, but this is exactly how you communicate confidence and signal borders without explicitly saying a word. Really, really good people skills at work there.

Hi Noraly . My dad worked in Ghana for fifteen years and I spent my first seven years there . Dad was envolved with the Volta dam project , he was a civil engineer and worked on the foundations for the road bridge near the dam . When the dam first flooded the area animas had to be helped out of the area . I remember the Tema area especially ; Dad worked on the Tema harbour sea walls and the motorway . One weekend we went to Macarthur hill to see where my parents had lived one of the bungalows built for his firms engineers . The bungalow was still standing with a roof on it . Dad and I opened the back door to find the ceilings had fallen down . Hanging from the rafters like tightly packed shirts were hundreds of fruit bats ; they were shirt sized too ! Time for a sharp exit ! We have only happy memories of Ghana , the people are very friendly .

@@douglasburnside Just got into drones myself. Some of the mid to high-end drones have a "follow-me" feature, where by they follow you based on the location of the remote's or your cell phone's GPS location, whilst some have a waypoint feature, where you can draw line with waypoints for it to follow, and assign the parameters to maintain (altitude, speed, etc). Not sure which one Noraly uses, but in a nutshell, those are the basics of those shots... unless someone more experienced than I has a better explanation.

My husband watches a lot of youtube where men are working on big old machinery or old cars or off road stuff. If the people that have those videos and get 3 or 4 hundred subscribers, then they hire someone to film and a second person to edit their videos. Noraly does it all herself, and often she's in areas without electricity or other primitive situations, and she still regularly posts her videos. She is definitely the queen of youtube.

Anyone who thinks that the Age of Exploration is over should watch Noraly's travels, as she shows us people and places like no-one else does, from the saddle of her bike. She must have Dutch seafaring ancestry such is her appetite for travel, so thank heavens there are still people like her in the world, even if our " Itchy Boots " lady is quite unique!

That was a beautiful, event filled episode. Lets see, you stayed a place with free roaming horses, had a leaky fuel connection, a ferry ride, walked around with a monkey of your shoulder, rode up the side of a mountain (which I would have loved), rode up a sketchy path to a guest house that I would have questioned, but had the MOST AWESOME view I could have ever imagined....oh, and became The Pied Piper of baby goats. I especially loved the drone shots of the clouds and falling rain. I could live up there. Safe travels, Noraly.

What a fun episode!! Noraly not too concerned with gas tank leak! Riding down “canyon roads” ha ha!! It amazes me that we can get a history lesson while Noraly navigates these dirt canyon roads! She is just amazing!! Of course the drone and the pilot always deliver majestic views…and those clouds at the end were indeed dramatic!! Your timing was perfect Noraly!! You captured it for us!! Absolutely enjoyed everything in this video!! What a joy! Cheers from Texas USA❤❤

    Hello Noraly✌
You can certainly easily repair the problem with your additional tank yourself, I assume that the hose from the additional tank to the main tank was not attached correctly and you only have to push it onto the connecting piece and tighten it with the hose clamp. You can do that easily. If the front part of the fuel hose is damaged, cut off the defective piece (provided it is long enough), get a pot of hot water in which you hold the end of the hose so that it becomes softer, does not tear again and you can attach it more easily. Tighten the hose clamp, fill the extra tank and if no gas comes out, you've repaired Alaska.😉👍

That horse farm looked like paradise. Noraly you have had to do so much strategic planning on this African adventure, and your skills are unflattering. The routes have been horrendous at times loaded with the " road canyons" in your path. Such a sad situation most of us are unaware of until you take us there. We need every tree in the world. Unbelievable green soaring above on the drone. Fascinating history of Ghana. What beautiful peoples on the boat. And those waters breathtaking. You ended up on a finger mountain. Whow. Just an amazing episode Noraly. !!
