I've always loved hearing the old timers talk pool. Johnny Erovolino and Buddy Hall were my favorites but Danny has become one hell of a commentator himself. Getting to hear Shannon talk banks is a real treat as well. Couldn't ask for a better team for such an important match!
When I moved to KY all I heard was about this guy that loved to play bank pool. Well, I was lucky enough to spend about 10 years with Mr. Eddie Taylor when he was in S'port. I learned a lot from watching and playing / donating with him LOL. But when I saw John Brumback shoot the first time I knew he was one to leave alone! Great match and nice to see such respect and class from both men!
@@tonym2513 A prime Efren is a favorite in any game against any player ever no doubt but nobody and I mean nobody that's ever picked up a cue could run over Eddie Taylor in banks. Talk about a match for the ages that would be.
@@tonym2513 WRONG. Efren isn't the only decent player, others are far superior at their specialized discipline like banks. I can give you an entire list of over 10 people Efren was too afraid to play or never beat if you like. Sucks when people like you only know 1 pool player. Small brain much?
Great match I think corey played his opponent with good strategy. If he had tried to outshoot him directly it would not have worked out. John played a great match as well caught a few bad rolls. Both are champion calibur players
12:22 Balls made on the break should be spotted before the player shoots. Player stays at table. No balls pocketed on the break, player sits. Balls on the break are not "banked in" so they should be spotted. First person to bank five balls wins. What would happen if a player broke and made five balls? Wouldn't that player have to stop mid turn if he banked all four remaining balls?
Ive been a Shannon "Cannon" Daulton fan ever since i saw him clutch in a 90s Mosconi Cup match against Oliver Ortman. "Hey Mr, you wanna play nan ball fer 50 bucks a rack"
Good match. I think Corey is very inventive and a solid player. I just wish he'd go more offensive, and don't "chicken out" and play 1 ball/safe so often. He won so he used good strategy, but my heart wanted John to win.
Does Danny D intentionally try to argue with whomever he's in the booth with? I have to hit mute just to get through the match because one is trying to say there's a kiss or a double hit or whatever.
37:50, that ball is always 3 to the side for me. Way, way easier. For some reason these guys almost never play that shot and I can't understand it. It's a very high percentage shot for me, so I know it would be for these guys if they would just play it.
can u post a video of u making this bank or of somebody shooting it cuz the geometry makes it look nearly impossible for the side pocket, cross corner I could maybe see but the contact point looks like it's behind the ball from the cue ball's perspective. John's shot seemed the highest % on that layout by a lot
C'mon. I'm a rank amateur player and I know that three cushion side to side shot Brumback shot. I can make it fairly often too, because I practice it every now and again for one of my 'fun shots'. That shot is not exactly a secret.
He’s just old. He’s a good guy. And he’s forgotten more about pool than 99% of TH-cam comments could ever hope to know. I hope if you get as old as Danny is here, people treat you with more respect.
Shannon is the best I have heard from Accu-Stats. Thank you Shannon for calling this match. Great insight from a champion.
Excellent sportsmanship by John Brumback! Old school guy! Shake hands ,hug, congratulations
It's great to hear Shannon commentating.

@Island Man Efren would eat his lunch.
@@tonym2513 probably not...he got mauled by the bear a couple of times before ed retired

thank you Patrick and your team of pros at ACCUSTATS
Danny thinking Corey doesn't know the multi cross bank in the side....
Thanks. Good match and good knowledge filled commentary
Glad you enjoyed it
Well said. Great commentary

Beautiful shooting. Thought he should have went for kill on the game before with the straight back!!! Great shooting Corey!!!
Crazy thinking my childhood pool was played in the same hall brumback played in as a teen.
Corey beat our house pro at 16. Cbus Ohio. Its great to watch both of these great players.
Is it just me or does Danny say some dumb stuff I love it lol
I’d like to hear Shannon D and Earl strickland in the booth together
Instead of these two , anything is better
Will sound like a southern conference.

You shoulda put one more out their for the hat trick … nice Tom .. enjoyed !
How the world can be upside down sometimes, Danny telling the other commentator about the new ball colors😁

John Brumback's pre shot routine is so annoying it is unreal
Yep, it hurts to have to watch that before every shot.
Has brumback ever lost a lag? Lol his speed is insane
who would have ever thought gene takovic would risk blowing his cover by playing at derby city?
Corey missed hundreds of tournaments and I wonder why . He could’ve won some major titles .. anyone know why he isn’t playing that much ?
Pool .. then those voices .. thanks gahd
Why isn't Corey Deuel Playing on the Masconi cup team. This would be a strong addition to their team. Just my thought
No. Just no. They’ve tried and failed that experiment multiple times. He was not good. Or strong.
@@tonym2513 Huh? Deuel was on the team that won in 2018. That's not a fail.

Yes, rarely played, but should be played more often.
7 foot bar tables don’t count….
Yeah, we play it all the time too. We play mostly bank pool.

If brumback hit higher on the pack, he would pocket a ball

Over the years, Danny has always been a fun and informed commentator.
