prob not the most scientific method but I did a 30 second parse using only xxxyy combos of varying charge times to test how worth charging the light attacks are and trying to figure out the optimal pathway. All heavy attacks charged. (so no other attacks like multilocks which might influence some results) Run 1: no charge on any light attacks - 4.47 million Run 2: charge on only the last light attack - 5.07 million Run 3: charge on last 2 light attacks - 5.4 million Run 4: charge on all light attacks. - 4.92 million In the last run I did not have quite enough time to get the last yy out whereas screenshot 3 there was enough time to do that by rushing x1 with no charge. I kept attacking in screenshot 1 and 2 afterwards obviously to see if the damage difference was made up. If this had been like 33 seconds instead run 4 would have likely pulled ahead slightly. Honestly it's a bit hard to tell just what you should and shouldn't charge by this since each light attack does more damage the further in the combo you get. Charging the final X always seems worth it since it's 4 times damage for 3 attacks atleast. Honestly it's really hard to tell but uncharged just does not seem that good unless you get multilock significantly faster from using it which makes up for the damage loss that way (and I don't think you do)
Tweyen is pretty tricky to build. Interestingly enough, She had less damage cap than any other characters. Most people running at least one dmg boost on certain attack like combos, combo finishers and range ( somehow pairing with Tyranny, it boost my score significant I dunno why 😅 ). Personally, I think Tweyen is the best saboteur character in this game, mainly because she can spam every status ailments. So by doing this, you always want to spam poison from her by doing charges attack more often. Her damage itself wasn't too crazy but she can make all endgame fight far more easier.
Also, I think her second combo is the best thing she had. Mainly because it gave you so many SBA, easier to debuff fast bosses and do faster dps than third combo when gets close to bosses.
My dude you continue to be a great point of reference for jrpgs. You helped me through a lot of xenoblade 3 just with understanding classes and these guides helped me build fun characters in relink
You only need 1 SuppV for her, since she gains 30% when she fully multishot and a level 15 in Awakening weapon also wheel of death instant give you 6 charges if you shotgun it, with fast cooldown
that's a 30% chance to activate a buff for additional supplementary damage, not adding 30% chance for supplementary damage to the sigils you have, it stacks.
In my testing on Barrold, tapping x almost always beats out holding x by a small amount even with both warpath and quick charge 16. Is this discrepancy because of Barrold being Barrold, or do you just prefer the charge playstyle over the tap?
so two reasons if I had to guess 1. barrold can't be debuffed with posion and burn from charged normals which are DoT sources that can add quite a bit of extra damage (or the debuffs won't work properly atleast) 2. you may not be releasing asap, the charge for the normal light attacks is VERY fast. And if you swear that you are it may be some other issue but tests in the discord server and from my own have charge outdoing it even on barrold. Could also just be because of multilock charging slightly faster too? idk
1) I know he interacts with burn and poison in a funky way, but I've seen them applied from charges. Do they apply and just do no damage, or do certain parts of the combo just not apply it on Barrold? 2) I mean I won't lie and say my timing is perfect, but I spent a fair bit of time practicing the xxxyy combo on Barrold. I'd say I'm generally releasing within a quarter to a third of a second of the charge finishing the majority of the time. Is the release window even tighter than that to get good damage?
@@NayleJR 1. yeah the dots don't tick properly on him, does like 113 damage or something instead of 2X attack like it should. 2. No idea, mine isn't always perfect either but results seem to be a bit mixed across the board after discussing it more. I wouldn't be surprised if something like non charged x into charge x charge x then charge y or non charge xx into charge x charge y is actually the "optimal" dps cause dummy parses charge everything rn for most damage but there's probably sweetspot where the damage bonus is worth it since you have one extra attack with each level of auto.
Gotcha, makes sense. I do feel like the first charge of the x combo takes a pretty substantial amount of time compared to the 2nd and 3rd. Appreciate the responses, trying to get a sense of what's optimal this early on is taking a lot of effort when there's no solid consensus yet
@@NayleJR check the pinned comment, seems like my theory might end up being correct? The first charge attack likely charges faster than you think, it doesn't have the same "feel" as the other two when it's charged if that makes any sense.
So that section where he enrages and runs around. You aren’t supposed to dodge. They want you to perfect guard that whole section. If everyone does it you will hit the 10 required in a single enrage. Behemoth also seems to have unnaturally high stun resistance that is only ignored by perfect guard. And his resistance seems to go away for a short window after he does that vacuum body slam.
@@EnelXC it’s definitely more trouble then it’s worth lmao. But the occasional parry god can completely immobilize behemoth. I’ve been in a random party where we got like 3 link times because behemoth would get staggered after every attack he attempted.
Tweyen's spread shots really shine if you build into face-tanking via either Stout Heart or Steady Focus and healing herself with Drain since she fires so many arrows that will land on big bodies like Behemoth or Bahamut. By eating damage and blasting the spread shot constantly, she can get SBA fast enough to let it rip after the first Bloodthirsty phase of Behemoth, even before if you have a Lancelot or Captain feeding her tons of charge. I killed Behemoth earlier today without sitting through a single Bloodthirsty phase with two CPUs and my friend on Lancelot, she's absurdly strong I will say though, I was blessed with a Stronghold/Steady Focus sigil a couple months ago and that thing is putting in god's work right now, where I can safely tank Behemoth's most powerful attack at the end of Bloodthirsty just by charging any shot, even without Guts active

@@justforlawlzz Thank you, but with some quick testing, tyranny and concentrated fire for me atleast, added the same amount of damage.
