I had polio when I was 11 months old, and now I suffer from post-polio syndrome, it has stopped me from doing the things I used to, even working, I feel so exhausted all the time, and now even when doing some walking, I must stop frequently as I cannot do more than 15 minutes without getting pain in my joints and extreme fatigue.
Thanks. I never gave up and now enjoying my retirement benefits that I EARNED for working so long, never been dependent with the government ALL my life.
Oh yea,, people always stare at me, but i just make it in a positive way that I am very handsome LOL. I don't care, I have this attention when I was 4 months old and everyday since then I am so used to it. No kids, always single here.
If you find guys affected with polio like me, this is the common defect. I guess I get tired just like you guys. I have no comparison being abled and disabled. This is how I know since I was 4 months old.
