There’s a 100% chance you’re not going to read this, but whatever. All my life I’ve filled the left brained archetype. People think of me as a scientist and laugh when I mention any sort of creative pursuit. For this (and other) reasons, I’ve repressed my desire to create and to explore my artistic side. I’ve been following your channel for the last two weeks or so and I finally decided to pull the trigger on a DSLR and a lens. I don’t know where it’ll take me and I don’t have any visions of driving Porsches in Switzerland, but I do know that photography will allow me to embrace my creative side and to explore more that this planet has to offer. Thanks for the inspiration, Pete, you’re a stand-up dude.
Most of my life i've been a nerd and now I'm an artist, I mean if you feel like you have things to express artistically, you don't need to convince people around you. Just learn the craft like filmmaking and then show people around you, that yes, you can be a creative aswell

Idk if any other people do this but I come back to this video every time I get discouraged. And every time I leave Inspired and knowing that one day my dream as a “TH-camr or filmmaker or whatever you want to call it.” I know it will become a reality.

My dream (That i`m currently hustling for) Is to get better at skills in travel filmmaking. Inspire other people and live the life that I want. I got many people who doubt that i can pull it off but i KNOW deep inside that i can and will achieve that dream. Bit by bit. Video after video. Country after country. I will get there. Over the last two years i`ve been getting friends from all around the world. Creative people who i BELIEVE in and they BELIEVE in me. Never give up on that dream guys. Dreams can become reality. 🔥

I just wanted to say that you and Peter have both been such an inspiration to me over the last few months. The last video you posted really hit home for me. I am five years out of film school and don't have a lot to show for it. Somewhere along the way I lost motivation to keep learning and making. I took a break from video for a few years to focus on my family and started feeling like I was cutting myself short of being the role model that my kids deserve by not giving it my all. Back in December I threw myself into the learning process again because five years in this industry is a lot of lost time. I came across Peter's channel and while he gave me the motivation that I needed to jump back in, you gave me something to aspire to. Now I am learning something new every day, I am creating as often as I can, and I am never slowing down. I am eternally grateful for the content you are putting out. Thank you!

Why all of a sudden +Peter McKinnon have become so much self obsessed because it's the second video I have watched in a row where he's just doing "Me, Me, Me,.....".
I loved the 400K video because it seemed like he was genuinely testifying to what happened in his life. This, on the other hand, feels very superficial, scripted, and self-focused. That's how it came across to me (but might be due to TravelFeels who knows).
It comes across to me as a really generic and cliche inspirational video. As if everyone could quit their job and do what they want and that's how the world works.
No not everyone can quit their job and travel the world making money doing what they love without the reality of life dragging them back down. That's why it's impressive! don't watch this video and think oh it's different for him but would never work for me. Your dreams are important, you need to at least make an attempt to pursue them. Realistically you will probably have to spend thousands of hours of hard work to make those dreams a reality. And when you do, you should make a video like this to prove to yourself and the world that... You, made it! ;)

Zack McCarthy I never said that anyone shouldn't follow his/her dreams. As a matter of fact, achieving goals in life is very important. I am a full time software engineer and a hobbyist photographer/videographer. I have subscribed to this channel & many other channels so that I can learn from the experts. I am 30+ years old, and I have my own perspective about life therefore I don't need a generic advice regarding goals/dreams from anyone. And remember that no great man in history has ever claimed that he's the best like Peter have done in this video.
