My sister constantly kept munching on ice while being pregnant, and the doctor consulted on her without even asking her if she craved ice chips . He immediately knew she was getting anemic during her pregnancy with low iron levels so be careful girl
I always knew I was anemic even before my pregnancy but it was actually confirmed through my tox screening , they literally told me to be careful of doing that. In the beginning of my pregnancy I craved ice so bad 😭😭

Craving/eating ice can be a sign of iron deficiency anemia. If you didn't have it before, you could develop it during pregnancy especially since you haven't been able to keep a lot of food down for most of your pregnancy. If you can't get iron from foods, try iron supplements. Definitely check in with your doctor about your ice cravings so they can check whether you're anemic!

Yes please check your iron alo. I was anemic with all my pregnancies but with my third it was a little bit worse and I ended up losing a lot of blood and had to get a blood transfusion. Eat lots of spinach 😊
