Why did this video make me tear up so much 😢
You worked hard, and you deserved the victory. At the end of the bout, were clearly gassed. In your future training, work more cardio in, but more importantly, work on your conservation of energy. In that first round, when you got the upper-hand on iDubbz, you got out of control, and you wasted energy, instead of focusing on certain areas of the body and picking shots that were calculated. This is something a number of boxers do, and you'll see it quite often in mixed-martial arts, b/c they're not well-trained boxers. If you work on staying calm, breathing techniques, and focusing your attention, you could be on par w/ professional boxers.

All class as always! Love how you always try to build up your opponent after a loss and encourage them to keep going. Too bad CC is only once a year bc this is more your personality than the other promotions. When I saw Ben edited this I knew it was gonna be a tear jerker lol. Was surprised to see that your dad seemed more nervous than your mom when it would shoot back to them in NC. Looked like he kept having to step in and out of the room and stood the furthest away from the TV. I’m sure they’re both relieved you came out unmarked again lol. Also, Alexxis holding Andrew’s hand during the 4th round 🥹. She really is so great with your family. Saw a video of her family having a watch party for your fight and that’s so sweet how supportive they are you as well. W future in laws! Hopefully you get some time in between fights to spend time with her family as well. Hope you two are enjoying the Bahamas and excited to see what’s next!

I’m actually speechless he shouted out Ian like that, he could done literally anything else, but he did that. I think that’s what really made Ian break. Both great people, great competitors. I say this in the most respectful way but Ian isn’t a boxer. He’s gotten into AMAZING shape, and that’s just a fact - but he’s not combat sports guy, he’s an athletic lanky guy like me. I skated, professionally, for 2 years (after 12 on wheels) until going for a hammer to end a video part. Broke my lower back, L4 L5 S1 in pieces, and now 33 years old on a walker. I love life, but that injury was what told me it’s over. That was 8 years ago and I roll around the city all the time, but now I’m a happy spectator. Go Ian, Go Alex 🤙🏻
