The album is literally a vocal delight. Jin has the widest vocal range in the group he literally used his whole vocal range. People need to watch his life performance to get actual taste of his vocals.He don't get enough line in group songs but happy puts his vocals on spotlight. About "Falling" it's one of my fav song along with "Another Level" and "i'll come to you" if we talk about vocals but since i'm a fan of one ok rock it felt underwelming maybe coz i thought it's going to be some hard rock but individually if i forget that it's by one ok rock than it's a very good song.I don't know but falling and another level grew on me after each listen. Anyway just loved the album ,it's actually in my top top three among all the members solo releases And my favourite one by vocal line.
9:46 Honestly, for Falling there ARE mixed reviews. DW. Jin said originally it was a mellow song but he asked Toru to add more instrumentals. He said Falling is about him actually. Since he's a shy person irl, he's had trouble reaching out to other people. I've seen reactors turn over when they heard Jin sang it live in his showcase or after listening to it 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time. Lol. There are songs that at 1st listen u don't like but eventually grows on you. This one imo, is that song for many. But for me, I love it at 1st listen, Jin being my bias helps lol it sounds like he's serenading, romancing even 😂
Falling is one of my favorite on the album. Especially when I watched the live on the Happy Special stage. I think me streaming the album non-stop made me appreciate all the songs more. Falling is a song that'll grow on you.

Falling was my least fav too but then i heard the live version and then went to stream the song again and it kinda grow on you slowly and now i like it so much
I’m repeating myself when I say this but for me this is the best album of the seven members. And my reason is not what you think. I love all of the members albums. Indigo was my fav before this one. I listen to all the albums every night when I go to bed. Why I feel this is the best is because for me I love all of the songs on this album equally. I don’t have a favorite song. I’ve never listened to an album and not had at least one or two songs stand out. I can tell you my favorite songs from each members album but for Jin I sincerely can’t. I really do love each song and I have been listening to the album on repeat since it has dropped. I’m so proud of Jin. This album is top tier and I love that he went pop rock! I love the different colors of each member and how different each album is. Ugh just makes me Happy!! No pun intended…💜💜💜
Agreed. I love all their projects, each for different reasons, but I have a favorite song for each album (except Layover, which is my favorite and Happy just tied with it), or I will skip maybe a song that I don't feel connected too like with Face and Muse (don't come for me, I really love Jimin!! It's just the carnival theme of a couple of his songs is not for me and I have coulrophobia, so they're triggering). But Happy (and Layover for me) is top tier and I love the direction Jin took with it. Joon was absolutely right when he said Jin would be the grand finale, cuz omg!!

I love all the songs on Jin's album but my unexpected gem is Heart on the Window .. it caught me of guard and I'm addicted to that particular song.. I'm a hopeless romantic so that song got me hooked .. you are absolutely right about the rock genre for Jin, he slayed that for sure .. Thanks for reviewing. I have no problem if you didn't love each song. Many people say Jin has a rock voice. He is friends with Chris Martin and Cold Play and is a fan also. So I think you will get more pop rock in the future. I watched his interview on the LeeMujin show on youtube. They were talking about the future and playing music into their old age. He performed with Cold Play in Argentina right before going into the service, he did the Astronaut with them. He mention that Cold Play brings their families with them on tour, he hopes that someday he will be able to do the same. I hope he does also! Jin ROCKS!

Funny how falling is actually one of the most favorite songs by majority of army. My favorite is heart on the window. The whole album is really well put together and his vocals really shine. Pop-Rock is definitely Jin’s genre
Yes, Another Level is a boss fight, and that's what chasing happiness feels like a lot of the times! Thank you for being honest about Falling. I love Falling - it's the genre of East Asian rock I grew up with. Another Level, Falling, and Heart on the Window is a trifecta for a lot of ARMY - and I feel the same. But I do get you as a lover of both Jin of BTS and One OK Rock. You're right about Jin, too! A lot of us have been wanting him to cross over into the rock genre since forever. The description for this EP was only a generalized "band sound", and Jin is quite the go-with-the-flow type of detail-oriented artist, if that makes sense. 😂 So, I'm thinking he experimented in which sub-genre of rock he'd like to pursue, because these songs are all different sub-genres or modern stylizations. He has recently said maybe he'll try country music next. And even then, I think his version of country will echo the earlier raw sounds of classic rock. Jin is too genuine and pure as a new solo artist. Personally, I would like him to venture into more progressive rock like Muse, or glam indie like The Killers, or the Japanese-style alternative rock sound like L'arc en Ciel, maybe even cinematic or rock opera. I'm guessing he doesn't want to be bound by a genre, like most if not all BTS members, but a fan can dream.
Thank you for your review, I have always valued your reactions because your opinions are informed by your own professional and personal experience. Jin is my sweet boy, along with Taehyung; they enticed me to the BTS world and BTS were my saviours during the travails of covid. Therefore it will be no surprise to you that each track in Happy can be my favourite depending on my mood of the moment. Running Wild and I'll be There are my super-duper bangers to start my day; I revel in the play of Jin's voice in those two songs. I love Another Level because of the full-on impact of Jin's voice and its message of never giving up. I think Falling suffered in comparison because, after Another Level, it felt like a step down, a breather of sorts, and we expected something more punchy from a song that has Taka and Toru involved in the writing and producing. You will be interested to know that BigHit are releasing a version of the song (TODAY) that features Taka in the vocals as well. I hope you can react to that version. I give Heart on the Window a higher grade than what you did because it is such a departure from Jin's usual repertoire in the same way that Super Tuna was such a delightful surprise. The beat, that swapping of high and low harmonies between Jin and Wendy, the way the song is like a slalom event where you take off and don't stop until the end. BTS do not harmonise like that and bravo to Jin for doing something fresh and different from their usual ouvre. I Will Come to You is Jin's love letter to ARMY and therefore the closest to my heart. I've commented in other reactors' channels about how this song is like curling up in a comfy sofa with your beloved after a full-on day and it pretty much aligns with your own description. Jin's voice and the piano, that is all ARMY's hearts need.

I feel like something a lot of people are forgetting is that some songs just won't resonate with everyone. I think Falling was good, I don't think you're saying it was bad by any means, I think you just thought it would take a different approach, maybe built it up in your head a little, and that's what influenced your thoughts. I mean there are songs by BTS and solo songs that I just don't really vibe with as much, and sometimes that's simply because the sound isn't as interesting to me. Not everyone is going to think that every single song an artist puts out will be the best song ever. So please just try to remember that. If they're flat out saying "this song is trash, and everyone else is dumb for thinking it's good," then that's a different story, but if they actually have specific reasons, and it comes off more like "this isn't the type of song I usually listen to or the genre I typically like," then that's fine and don't bash them for saying that

In my opinion one simply cant have the full album experience without watching the live performances! Jin is a live singer first and foremost. Frustrating how every single track was better live so the Spotify version doesnt hit as good anymore
personally out of all the album songs I love another level cuz it really was on another level it just reminded me of house of cards and louder than bombs vibes and I missed that era so much + of course i love all the album cuz every song has it's own charm he really made us very happy with HAPPY 💜💜💜

Its okay that 1 song out of 6 didnt click with you as much as others. Another reactor didnt click with Another Level while liked every other song more. Its all subjective as you said. For me i have listened to the album so many times i love them all dearly. Couldnt rate them for the life of me. I'm always in for some Jin praise! I hope he explores rock more too. When I first listened to the Happy medley Falling stood out for me and I was so excited, but on 1st listens it did fall a bit short for some reason (though I had no prior expectations beyond just what I had heard in the medley). Another Level really stood out and was it for me...but slowly Heart on a Window has crept in to that that top spot with Falling reclaiming space with both as a trifecta. As for your first album review, love love loved it!!! Thank you for approaching it with honesty, that above all else should be priority, but with your background and ability to communicate what you are hearing in ways that I may not know or catch was really great. Much appreciated. I know you've reacted to Groin off RM's Right Person, Wrong Place but if you're looking for other albums to review I would really love to hear your thoughts on the whole project! 💜

Thanks very much for your reaction 😊 I personally love the entire album and I dont have a preferred song...to me it's great from start to finish. For being a first album it hits across the board-theres a song for everyone and thats hard to do. Some artists can only hit with one or two songs on an LP of maybe 11 songs...and it forgotten with exception of the one or two songs often played or most popular. Jin has been out of the limelight longer than the other members yet he put a huge piece of himself in this endeavor and in my opinion he did a fine job His collab with Wendy was awesome. I am a huge Red Velvet fan and appreciate their vocal style and not so humdrum melodies so I was excited for the them to collab. Each member of BTS has their own unique sound and that why I love them as soloists and as a group ❤ BTW I uploaded a bunch of your music onto my playlist and labeled it 'Our guy' 💜
Another Level for me was what I thought Falling would be. Falling is a good song, but I expected it to be great because of who wrote it and it "fell" a little short for me. That said, Another Level is absolutely my favourite song on the album. Unexpected and yet oh so good!
Another level had already been my favorite. After learning that it is actually about gaming as one of his favorite hobbies that make him happy, I love it even more. 😅

I have grown up accompanying myself and others on the piano. Therefore, if anyone in BTS is going to do a piano vocal, I am going to take great interest in it. And the words! Even so, I'm not sure that is my favorite song. These all are enjoyable and make me feel happy. Thanks, Jin!

Another Level is EXACTLY what I always thought he’d be amazing at. It reminds me of East Village Opera Company. It makes perfect use of his unique strengths.
I would love you to watch his showcase (number 2) where he performed all of the songs live and i deadass bet you will have some of your opinions change because thats what it did for me and many others. Also, the instruments and the drums everything is live band, the same band who performed with the Suga AGUSTD tour, and for Jimin's album. Falling is supposed to be slower ig but Jin wanted it upbeat, "i will come to you" is a song Jin wrote in military for Armys, the most unserious song in the EP must be your favorite " Another level" because the whole song is about him gaming and defeating the boss. I love the way Jin thinks, actually as an Army we manifested ROCK JIN like a lot , its not something new , he actually dipped his leg in this genre before thats why we always knew Jin was capable in owning the ROCK genre because of his vocals and his interests. So we are so happy we finally got ROCK JIN. The takeway from this album is that JIN is an excellent vocalist , he is up there. Also, this is no skip album for me.

I agree that Another Level is the song of the Album, in addition to having been able to enjoy its live broadcast, it has been a wonderful experience for the ARMY who has not had a member for so long on stage 💜
There are 2 live clip MVs in addition to the official MVs- for IBT and Running Wild- with the same band from SUGA's tour. The band is terrific and Jin has a blast with the ad libs.
I love your honesty. I've seen people saying Falling is their favorite and the opposite. I appreciate both cuz it's just a matter of preference. People like different things and it's fine. BTW, I didn't really like Another Level at my first listen but grew to love it A LOT after hearing the live version of it. Another Level is really great for a concert. (Jin has performed it in his special stage for this album.)
Heart on the Window is my fave. I had already anticipated that i'd like it since I saw Wendy was on it, as she's one of the best female kpop vocalists ever, and even then it exceeded my expectations. Their voices blend beautifully together. I was so happy to see J-hope say it was also his favorite today. lol. I'd put Another Level next, and then I'll be there. I'll be there has a soft spot for me since I've been listening to it with my nieces, and they really enjoy it. singing "i'll be there for you" to them, and them singing it back makes me sentimental every time. lol.
well taste is very subjective, I really really love falling, if you love light pop rock jazzy fussion feels, like most asian do, then falling is the most favorite one. I will rate it 4,5 because they should drop the rock feel, make it pure jazzy fussion feels
Tbh when i first heard Falling, i thought it was so so. But after hearing it performed live, i ended up loving it more. The same goes for the other songs, honestly. Its the same case for I'll Be There for me too. I dont know what it is about Jin, but his live performances will always be a 1000x better than the recording, and the live band and vocals just elevate the songs so much more. So, if you're on the fence about certain songs, just watch his live performances. It might change your mind like how it did for me.
I think all Falling needs is an epic live performance like Another Level got and then it'll rise in peoples faves. Bc the song is very sensual and sexy to me, even though it's about a supposed unknown love. I LOVED every song but when he performs them live it elevates each song. Like Running Wild is so catchy but most dont realize how crazy high it is til jin hits those nights live!
The duet with Lee Mujin sealed the deal for me with Falling. But it was definitely already high up there at first listen. Mind you, I was running errands at the bank when I first heard Another Level, and I was already going out of my mind, then it transitioned to Falling. And it really was the most sensual thing from the shift. I almost forgot I was waiting to be called by the teller!
okay, you know what? People try to make it seem like Armys are unhinged and unreasonable and will attack anyone who says a remotely disfavorable thing about BTS but we are actually super cool and I totally understand people like and enjoy different music so it's totally fine if you didn't like a song, or liked one more or liked one less. Personally for me though, this album is my favorite among the solo debut albums by BTS vocal line. Every song was a 10(I give stars out of 10! lol) and so to me, the whole album is perfect. That said, Another Level is my favorite track too! It's just sooooo good! About "I will come to you", it's actually a song dedicated to Armys and the lyrics are about how he felt when he was in the military and missed us so that song is so so so so so special to me as an Army. He wrote it himself, it's his honest feelings and I just appreciate that so much. Overall, I love Happy more than anything and I'm glad it wasn't just bubbly and upbeat start to finish, There's always sadness in happiness just as there's happiness in sadness and this album captured that perfectly. As expected of our BTS Jin, he did so well!
I think 'Falling ' needs a few listens - I love the whole album and 'Another Level' is my favourite and Falling didn't resonate as much as the others on my first listen, but it has grown on me and now joins the others

really love your review on this ep !! ofc you dont have to like everything that one of ur fav artist puts out and i love how respectful you were while talking about it. falling wasn't my immediate fav either like another level on the 1st listen but after like 3 days i came to love it for what it is (that's almost always the case with bts songs i dont immediately vibe with lol). also you nailed it with the storytelling aspect of jin's voice. i have always thought that his voice is perfect for musical theatre for that very reason. thanx for the review you a real one!! 💜🌷

I understand what you mean about Falling. After Another Level, I expected a huge explosion of a stadium rock song. So yes, I was a bit let down. However neatly, I kept thinking Taka worked on Another Level, and had to look it up to remind myself a few times. I like the song a lot, but it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
Taka and Toru are co-producers and co-writers of Falling. They are not listed in Another Level, unless their names are written in characters (which I cannot read).
I appreciate your honesty in at first I have to say that I felt the same way falling fell short for me the first listen but for me after studying the lyrics and re-listening it's a great song me personally I always have this thing with BTS where the first time I listen sometimes the songs that end up being my favorite don't click for me but this is the first BTS solo then I can honestly say at first listen has no skips! It's funny because jin as much as I'm love him and I do love all seven of them! Ot7 for life! But he isn't my basis most of the time although it does change I really love this he's brilliant I hope he stays more in the pop rock genre because he sounds and looks amazing! Side note I'm totally checking out the song at the end that was awesome! 💜

He wrote it after he left for the military, writing down his thoughts and feelings about leaving us. Also, Another Level is literally about gaming. LOL He wrote it from a character perspective. Because playing video games is one of the things that makes him happy. The message is still an inspiring one and that fact undermines nothing of what you said about it. But also, it's so Jin. Falling is also my least favorite on the album and Another Level is my favorite. I agree, I am LIVING for Jin in his rock bag.
I love Happy, it’s kinda special for me because I’m going to some hard times at the moment and I have this Album playing on repeat, especially ,,Heart on the Window‘‘, It really hits me emotionally and makes me feel better and more happy at the moment, so I‘m really thankful to him for releasing this wonderful album 💜

Falling is one of my favorite on the album. Especially when I watched the live on the Happy Special stage. I think me streaming the album non-stop made me appreciate all the songs more. Falling is a song that'll grow on you.

I’m repeating myself when I say this but for me this is the best album of the seven members. And my reason is not what you think. I love all of the members albums. Indigo was my fav before this one. I listen to all the albums every night when I go to bed. Why I feel this is the best is because for me I love all of the songs on this album equally. I don’t have a favorite song. I’ve never listened to an album and not had at least one or two songs stand out. I can tell you my favorite songs from each members album but for Jin I sincerely can’t. I really do love each song and I have been listening to the album on repeat since it has dropped. I’m so proud of Jin. This album is top tier and I love that he went pop rock! I love the different colors of each member and how different each album is. Ugh just makes me Happy!! No pun intended…💜💜💜

Agreed. I love all their projects, each for different reasons, but I have a favorite song for each album (except Layover, which is my favorite and Happy just tied with it), or I will skip maybe a song that I don't feel connected too like with Face and Muse (don't come for me, I really love Jimin!! It's just the carnival theme of a couple of his songs is not for me and I have coulrophobia, so they're triggering). But Happy (and Layover for me) is top tier and I love the direction Jin took with it. Joon was absolutely right when he said Jin would be the grand finale, cuz omg!!

I'm a hopeless romantic so that song got me hooked .. you are absolutely right about the rock genre for Jin, he slayed that for sure .. Thanks for reviewing. I have no problem if you didn't love each song. Many people say Jin has a rock voice. He is friends with Chris Martin and Cold Play and is a fan also. So I think you will get more pop rock in the future. I watched his interview on the LeeMujin show on youtube. They were talking about the future and playing music into their old age. He performed with Cold Play in Argentina right before going into the service, he did the Astronaut with them. He mention that Cold Play brings their families with them on tour, he hopes that someday he will be able to do the same. I hope he does also! Jin ROCKS!

Funny how falling is actually one of the most favorite songs by majority of army. My favorite is heart on the window. The whole album is really well put together and his vocals really shine. Pop-Rock is definitely Jin’s genre

Yes, Another Level is a boss fight, and that's what chasing happiness feels like a lot of the times! Thank you for being honest about Falling. I love Falling - it's the genre of East Asian rock I grew up with. Another Level, Falling, and Heart on the Window is a trifecta for a lot of ARMY - and I feel the same. But I do get you as a lover of both Jin of BTS and One OK Rock.
You're right about Jin, too! A lot of us have been wanting him to cross over into the rock genre since forever. The description for this EP was only a generalized "band sound", and Jin is quite the go-with-the-flow type of detail-oriented artist, if that makes sense. 😂 So, I'm thinking he experimented in which sub-genre of rock he'd like to pursue, because these songs are all different sub-genres or modern stylizations. He has recently said maybe he'll try country music next. And even then, I think his version of country will echo the earlier raw sounds of classic rock. Jin is too genuine and pure as a new solo artist.
Personally, I would like him to venture into more progressive rock like Muse, or glam indie like The Killers, or the Japanese-style alternative rock sound like L'arc en Ciel, maybe even cinematic or rock opera. I'm guessing he doesn't want to be bound by a genre, like most if not all BTS members, but a fan can dream.

Thank you for your review, I have always valued your reactions because your opinions are informed by your own professional and personal experience. Jin is my sweet boy, along with Taehyung; they enticed me to the BTS world and BTS were my saviours during the travails of covid. Therefore it will be no surprise to you that each track in Happy can be my favourite depending on my mood of the moment. Running Wild and I'll be There are my super-duper bangers to start my day; I revel in the play of Jin's voice in those two songs. I love Another Level because of the full-on impact of Jin's voice and its message of never giving up. I think Falling suffered in comparison because, after Another Level, it felt like a step down, a breather of sorts, and we expected something more punchy from a song that has Taka and Toru involved in the writing and producing. You will be interested to know that BigHit are releasing a version of the song (TODAY) that features Taka in the vocals as well. I hope you can react to that version.
I give Heart on the Window a higher grade than what you did because it is such a departure from Jin's usual repertoire in the same way that Super Tuna was such a delightful surprise. The beat, that swapping of high and low harmonies between Jin and Wendy, the way the song is like a slalom event where you take off and don't stop until the end. BTS do not harmonise like that and bravo to Jin for doing something fresh and different from their usual ouvre.
I Will Come to You is Jin's love letter to ARMY and therefore the closest to my heart. I've commented in other reactors' channels about how this song is like curling up in a comfy sofa with your beloved after a full-on day and it pretty much aligns with your own description. Jin's voice and the piano, that is all ARMY's hearts need.
I think appreciation for Falling takes a few listens AND the live performance to build up. He was so amazing on the Lee Mujin YT show.

There's a quick fact about I will come to you - the piano ballad was the first song that he recorded on this EP, the keywords and some part of lyrics Jin wrote in his military in the time that was available about his emotions. The very first verse has direct inferences from the day he was enlisted. It is a song that makes me cry!!💜

I was a little surprised when you said you didn’t expect i will come to you to be a ballad because, as a fan of bts and jin since 2018, seokjin is known for singing ballads, and for me him closing the EP with a ballad felt like he was putting a JIN stamp on it in a way, esp that it’s a song he wrote during his military enlistment and dedicated to army

I feel like something a lot of people are forgetting is that some songs just won't resonate with everyone. I think Falling was good, I don't think you're saying it was bad by any means, I think you just thought it would take a different approach, maybe built it up in your head a little, and that's what influenced your thoughts. I mean there are songs by BTS and solo songs that I just don't really vibe with as much, and sometimes that's simply because the sound isn't as interesting to me. Not everyone is going to think that every single song an artist puts out will be the best song ever. So please just try to remember that. If they're flat out saying "this song is trash, and everyone else is dumb for thinking it's good," then that's a different story, but if they actually have specific reasons, and it comes off more like "this isn't the type of song I usually listen to or the genre I typically like," then that's fine and don't bash them for saying that

In my opinion one simply cant have the full album experience without watching the live performances! Jin is a live singer first and foremost. Frustrating how every single track was better live so the Spotify version doesnt hit as good anymore
personally out of all the album songs I love another level cuz it really was on another level it just reminded me of house of cards and louder than bombs vibes and I missed that era so much + of course i love all the album cuz every song has it's own charm he really made us very happy with HAPPY 💜💜💜

Its okay that 1 song out of 6 didnt click with you as much as others. Another reactor didnt click with Another Level while liked every other song more. Its all subjective as you said. For me i have listened to the album so many times i love them all dearly. Couldnt rate them for the life of me. I'm always in for some Jin praise! I hope he explores rock more too. Heart On The Window is my fave track by the way. Followed by Another Level and I'll come to you tying for 2nd. This is today. Tomorrow who knows! 😂😂

When I first listened to the Happy medley Falling stood out for me and I was so excited, but on 1st listens it did fall a bit short for some reason (though I had no prior expectations beyond just what I had heard in the medley). Another Level really stood out and was it for me...but slowly Heart on a Window has crept in to that that top spot with Falling reclaiming space with both as a trifecta. As for your first album review, love love loved it!!! Thank you for approaching it with honesty, that above all else should be priority, but with your background and ability to communicate what you are hearing in ways that I may not know or catch was really great. Much appreciated. I know you've reacted to Groin off RM's Right Person, Wrong Place but if you're looking for other albums to review I would really love to hear your thoughts on the whole project! 💜

Thanks very much for your reaction 😊 I personally love the entire album and I dont have a preferred song...to me it's great from start to finish. For being a first album it hits across the board-theres a song for everyone and thats hard to do. Some artists can only hit with one or two songs on an LP of maybe 11 songs...and it forgotten with exception of the one or two songs often played or most popular. Jin has been out of the limelight longer than the other members yet he put a huge piece of himself in this endeavor and in my opinion he did a fine job
His collab with Wendy was awesome. I am a huge Red Velvet fan and appreciate their vocal style and not so humdrum melodies so I was excited for the them to collab. Each member of BTS has their own unique sound and that why I love them as soloists and as a group ❤ BTW I uploaded a bunch of your music onto my playlist and labeled it 'Our guy' 💜

Another Level for me was what I thought Falling would be. Falling is a good song, but I expected it to be great because of who wrote it and it "fell" a little short for me. That said, Another Level is absolutely my favourite song on the album. Unexpected and yet oh so good!
Another level had already been my favorite. After learning that it is actually about gaming as one of his favorite hobbies that make him happy, I love it even more. 😅

Another Level is EXACTLY what I always thought he’d be amazing at. It reminds me of East Village Opera Company. It makes perfect use of his unique strengths.
I would love you to watch his showcase (number 2) where he performed all of the songs live and i deadass bet you will have some of your opinions change because thats what it did for me and many others. Also, the instruments and the drums everything is live band, the same band who performed with the Suga AGUSTD tour, and for Jimin's album. Falling is supposed to be slower ig but Jin wanted it upbeat, "i will come to you" is a song Jin wrote in military for Armys, the most unserious song in the EP must be your favorite " Another level" because the whole song is about him gaming and defeating the boss. I love the way Jin thinks, actually as an Army we manifested ROCK JIN like a lot , its not something new , he actually dipped his leg in this genre before thats why we always knew Jin was capable in owning the ROCK genre because of his vocals and his interests. So we are so happy we finally got ROCK JIN. The takeway from this album is that JIN is an excellent vocalist , he is up there. Also, this is no skip album for me.
I love Another Level too. It’s my favorite. I agree that he should tap more into the pop rock. Red Velvet is a girl K-pop group.

I agree that Another Level is the song of the Album, in addition to having been able to enjoy its live broadcast, it has been a wonderful experience for the ARMY who has not had a member for so long on stage 💜
There are 2 live clip MVs in addition to the official MVs- for IBT and Running Wild- with the same band from SUGA's tour. The band is terrific and Jin has a blast with the ad libs.

I love your honesty. I've seen people saying Falling is their favorite and the opposite. I appreciate both cuz it's just a matter of preference. People like different things and it's fine. BTW, I didn't really like Another Level at my first listen but grew to love it A LOT after hearing the live version of it. Another Level is really great for a concert. (Jin has performed it in his special stage for this album.)

Heart on the Window is my fave. I had already anticipated that i'd like it since I saw Wendy was on it, as she's one of the best female kpop vocalists ever, and even then it exceeded my expectations. Their voices blend beautifully together. I was so happy to see J-hope say it was also his favorite today. lol. I'd put Another Level next, and then I'll be there. I'll be there has a soft spot for me since I've been listening to it with my nieces, and they really enjoy it. singing "i'll be there for you" to them, and them singing it back makes me sentimental every time. lol.
well taste is very subjective, I really really love falling, if you love light pop rock jazzy fussion feels, like most asian do, then falling is the most favorite one. I will rate it 4,5 because they should drop the rock feel, make it pure jazzy fussion feels
Tbh when i first heard Falling, i thought it was so so. But after hearing it performed live, i ended up loving it more. The same goes for the other songs, honestly. Its the same case for I'll Be There for me too. I dont know what it is about Jin, but his live performances will always be a 1000x better than the recording, and the live band and vocals just elevate the songs so much more. So, if you're on the fence about certain songs, just watch his live performances. It might change your mind like how it did for me.

I think all Falling needs is an epic live performance like Another Level got and then it'll rise in peoples faves. Bc the song is very sensual and sexy to me, even though it's about a supposed unknown love. I LOVED every song but when he performs them live it elevates each song. Like Running Wild is so catchy but most dont realize how crazy high it is til jin hits those nights live!

The duet with Lee Mujin sealed the deal for me with Falling. But it was definitely already high up there at first listen. Mind you, I was running errands at the bank when I first heard Another Level, and I was already going out of my mind, then it transitioned to Falling. And it really was the most sensual thing from the shift. I almost forgot I was waiting to be called by the teller!
My 1st impression about Falling too. But seriously, after a few times listening, it grew on me. It went from 2 to 4😊

People try to make it seem like Armys are unhinged and unreasonable and will attack anyone who says a remotely disfavorable thing about BTS but we are actually super cool and I totally understand people like and enjoy different music so it's totally fine if you didn't like a song, or liked one more or liked one less.
Personally for me though, this album is my favorite among the solo debut albums by BTS vocal line. Every song was a 10(I give stars out of 10! lol) and so to me, the whole album is perfect. That said, Another Level is my favorite track too! It's just sooooo good!
About "I will come to you", it's actually a song dedicated to Armys and the lyrics are about how he felt when he was in the military and missed us so that song is so so so so so special to me as an Army. He wrote it himself, it's his honest feelings and I just appreciate that so much.
Overall, I love Happy more than anything and I'm glad it wasn't just bubbly and upbeat start to finish, There's always sadness in happiness just as there's happiness in sadness and this album captured that perfectly. As expected of our BTS Jin, he did so well!
I agree that Another Level is the gem here & that I expected more from Falling, though I like it better than you did.
I think 'Falling ' needs a few listens - I love the whole album and 'Another Level' is my favourite and Falling didn't resonate as much as the others on my first listen, but it has grown on me and now joins the others

I feel like ppl who didn’t know one ok rock would absolutely love Falling so much for the melody and Jin’s high notes. After hearing the pre-release melody, i was looking forward to it the most and now my favorite song in the album.

really love your review on this ep !! ofc you dont have to like everything that one of ur fav artist puts out and i love how respectful you were while talking about it. falling wasn't my immediate fav either like another level on the 1st listen but after like 3 days i came to love it for what it is (that's almost always the case with bts songs i dont immediately vibe with lol). also you nailed it with the storytelling aspect of jin's voice. i have always thought that his voice is perfect for musical theatre for that very reason. thanx for the review you a real one!! 💜🌷

I understand what you mean about Falling. After Another Level, I expected a huge explosion of a stadium rock song. So yes, I was a bit let down. However neatly, I kept thinking Taka worked on Another Level, and had to look it up to remind myself a few times. I like the song a lot, but it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
Taka and Toru are co-producers and co-writers of Falling. They are not listed in Another Level, unless their names are written in characters (which I cannot read).

I appreciate your honesty in at first I have to say that I felt the same way falling fell short for me the first listen but for me after studying the lyrics and re-listening it's a great song me personally I always have this thing with BTS where the first time I listen sometimes the songs that end up being my favorite don't click for me but this is the first BTS solo then I can honestly say at first listen has no skips! It's funny because jin as much as I'm love him and I do love all seven of them! Ot7 for life! But he isn't my basis most of the time although it does change I really love this he's brilliant I hope he stays more in the pop rock genre because he sounds and looks amazing! I Will Come to You is for ARMY of course. He wrote it after he left for the military, writing down his thoughts and feelings about leaving us. Also, Another Level is literally about gaming. LOL He wrote it from a character perspective. Because playing video games is one of the things that makes him happy. The message is still an inspiring one and that fact undermines nothing of what you said about it. But also, it's so Jin.

Everyone will like certain songs more than others. It’s all good. Appreciate your review & breakdown of the songs & production. The more I listened to Falling, the more I liked it. I agree, would love to see Jin delve further into the pop rock scene.
I have to disagree with you on the song Falling J. I think it’s a great song and as good as all his songs on Happy. I’m not sure how much Taka and Toru did in the song. You should have played the songs while you were reviewing them like other reactors.
I love you J but it’s just more fun to listen to the music with you.
