What a yummy vlog! All of it looked so delicious, and that floral arrangement was just perfect, and from your own garden. I totally agree about using the fancy things, it helps romanticize an ordinary moment too. Ok…off to get something to eat now lol!!!😋

Very kind Nicole! I love that I can create an arrangement from the garden, it feels like a complete treat.
And yes, we need to use our nice stuff, wear our pretty clothes, and just enjoy all the frills and fancies that are too easy to put away for 'another day'. No! Use them now say I! x

My first time seeing white lavender. Does it smell the same? Your food always looks yummy. Somehow reminds me of Christmas 🎄 and I'm counting down. Love your videos ❤

Yes, it smells the same just makes a change to see it in a different colour 😊 I love that the food reminds you of Christmas, that makes me smile ❤

Love love your content. Thank you for sharing and please continue; I have a smile every time I see that you've uploaded a video. I"am canadian and a huge anglophile. I love traditions; they make us grounded I think. Could you help us with a recipe for Eton mess.?

Love your comment Linda, thank you. I included my 'how to' for the Eton mess in my latest vlog, published today. I couldn't remember who had asked me but I knew someone had. And it's a good one, because it has very few ingredients making it the perfect lazy dessert for hot summer days. Or rainy ones if you are here! x

I'm guilty of stashing pottery, not using it in case I break it! Add to this, a load of pottery just inherited from MIL, which I've stashed. Your breakfast looked delicious!

It was such a good breakfast, I really want to make it again soon but I'm meant to be cutting down on such things! Hope you use your inherited pottery, it deserves to be used. I told my mum yesterday that I'd used the cup and she seemed really pleased that I had! x

i've never seen the point of having 'best dishes' - which is to say, ones you never use. My mother-in-law tried to give me a whole set when she was downsizing and I wouldn't have them 😆 My mum has cupboards full of the stuff that she got when she and my dad were married and I don't think any of it has ever been used - and they've been married over 50 years! Now, give me a set of Denby and I'll be quite happy to use that for my morning toast.😉. What a lovely flower arrangement you made - you're so clever - it turned out beautifully. Thank you for all the Henry-cat content...always a delight! 🥰

I've never been one for keeping anything for best, from teacups to perfume. Each day should be our best and it's so sad when things aren't used. Makes me think about Phoebe in Friends, when she was upset about the Christmas trees left over each year not fulfilling their destiny. The idea of a tea cup never being used or shoes never being worn makes me quite sad! You are kind to say that, I am always highly critical of my own creations so I appreciate it when someone says it's nice! Ah, Henry, he's without doubt the star of my vlogs! x
