Damu Mountain, located in Wutai, Pingtung, is one of the top 100 mountains in Taiwan. It is the sacred mountain of the people of Beipaiwan and one of the routes leading to Ghost Lake. With an altitude of 2424m, it is already among the top mountains in Pingtung. .
This time I hiked the mountain in a one-day round trip. The first section of the trail was covered with cloth, and the forest road section had a little more weeds, so it was basically impossible to go wrong. There were three sections across streams in the middle. There was a lot of water at that time, but it was still easy. However, don’t worry about the water source. After the Damu-Maliu-Runhara fork in the back section, the path to Damu Mountain is not obvious. Although there are still banners, many of them are going to the old road and need special attention. , there is a relatively new orange cloth strip that is more accurate. You also need to find your own way to the final stone waterfall, don’t cut down.
※The total mileage is about 21km, the total climb is 1750m, and the total time is about 13 hours
Transportation method: Enter from Provincial Highway 24, turn left before the Tanichuan Bridge after passing 31.5K and enter the Tanichuan Jiamu Connection Road. After arriving at Jiamu Tribe, connect to the Zhongxing Forest Road. The forest road in front of the Green Ocean Villa is in better condition. The road conditions after that Vehicles requiring four-wheel drive and high chassis are suitable for forward movement
