Now that's the way to make a video, no music or talking, just a relaxing wander around amongst some really cool rods, almost as good as being there. Well done Nick.
Saw virtually all these Rolling Bones cars at Amelia Island in Florida in 2020. They are unbelievable, and the owners drive them everywhere. Great Stuff!!
I love Goodwood. The people, the spirit, cars, bikes, everything. Very British 😉👍
The Brits appreciation for rock and roll, blues and period correct hot rods is unparalleled! Great video, thanks for not ruining it with chatter.
The Shifters So. Cal. car club brought back this nostalgic Hot Rod resurgence in the early 1990s, and I'm happy that the movement is still here to this day.
I like the look but with shiny paint etc

@@NickPettitt The Shifters club was formed in the early 90s, but were around individually (and in to Rockabilly & Hot Rods) in the 1980s, too.....
@@V8Deuce Clive Griesel met The Vultures car club in Whittier, California back in 1984. Their back-to-basics style of building Hot Rods inspired him and John Blackmore to build a '32 Coupe in England; others followed and so started the Low Flyers...
In the last 45 years of my hotrodding history I missed one of the best events great video
Hands down, the best video I’ve seen on TH-cam. I am loving it! More please!

Wow, those Rolling Bones cars sure get around! They usually make an annual trip from New York to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, and are also seen at many other events around the US!
I still love those flathead V-8's.🗽👍🔧

Now I see where matchbox got ideas for their hot rod designs.
Some very authentic looking rods but to me hot rods are brighter colours and nicer wheels, almost everyone a little to traditional but still gorgeous
also the 7:33 coupe what a beauty
Awesome experience!!!!
Excellent
Nice cars thanks for the upload,
I so miss the Hot Rod Hayride
Kool all I can say kool
this is cool. what a time warp.
Not a bad car in the bunch !!
They need to patent that chopped top. Very fluid looking. Ronnie.
Id sure like to know more about that 2 door sedan @ 2:16
#199 has a '36 roof on a Model A body?
yes.
Might be a silly question but how do you get away with no fenders?
In Washington state (USA) anything older than 1950 you don,t need fenders in faIr weather and on pavement. In Oregon state any /car older than n1935, In California anything 1500 Pounds and under.
In each sate hot rodders made up laws like this. Hot rodders fought hard for these no fender rules.

It’s not an MOT requirement in England. It is a Construction and Usage regulation, the wording is a bit vague. The last time I looked it stated that the tyres must not be visible when viewed from above the centre of the tyre. It doesn’t say how far from either side of the centre of the tyre. Twenty plus years ago there were a few that had a “brush with the law” and were given a fix it order. I personally haven’t had any problems, I think that as long as the vehicle looks safe, well built & you’re not acting irresponsibly on a public road, throwing up rooster tails in the rain, the police will pass you by. Maybe it’s not worth the paper work &/or they’re too busy going after real criminals ?
