There's no hadith saying the heels must touch. A hadith used is when Aisha RA didn't have much room when Rasool Allah SAW prayed and she said she had her hand on both his feet when he SAW was in sujud... So that gets interpreted that his feet were together. As for, they must touch, this isn't exactly correct.

People are making the Deen so difficult and acting like your Salah is not accepted if you don't do it in a certain way which isn't provided in hadiths even. Do your Salah whether the hands are above the naval or below, or wherever feet are touching or not in sujood, but... Make sure you have khushoo'... This is where the quality of Salah is... Allah SWT doesn't care if your heels are touching or not.
