Wow! What do you guys think of this one? I believe I’ve had quite a few of you ask about one of these… my only question would be is this truck still considered a ‘Vortec Max’ or ‘VHO’ because normally it will have the vortec max badge on the intake.. this one just has vortec 6000.. but so do some of my Super Sports? Think it was just a manufacturing date thing like the 2000 3 door & 2000.5 4 door? Drop what you think in the comments! All insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks for watching. Also, please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!
While the same engine as the SS and Vortec Max trucks, this package in 2004-2005 models was technically called the Vortec High Output (or VHO for short) and had unique badging that said that. The Vortec Max package did not debut until 2006. The VHO package had very limited availability in several southern states, including TX, whereas the Vortec Max was much more widely available.
Gotcha! I really appreciate that insight I knew I wasn’t mistaking! Gotta trust that intuition
The correct door badge should be GM part# 15222752 but it’s probably not easy to find all these years later.
This guy is a gmt800 encyclopedia. Nice info.
Ur little cousin was doing a good job
He will get better 👍🏾
Sweet score bro. I’d love to see the transformation of this truck. Love watching your vids because I always learn something new as I never knew these trucks were a thing with the 6.0. And shout out to your little cousin for recording. I would recommend him rewatching the videos he makes for you so he can learn where he needs to aim the camera next time but he did a great job.
Thanks man really appreciate it! He will get better with time 👍🏾
Hell yeah, that’s a great find! The money is right on it too, especially since it’s optioned like that.
I’m really excited about it! Thanks for watching!

I want this truck
Good video bro, if you dont mind, wich auction is that?
I got my hands recently on two gems a 4.3 silverado with no rot or body rust but a blown engine and transmission from over use and a suburban 2500 8.1 that is beyond saving structurally but has a very low millage vortec 8.1 and 4l80e/4l85e transmission I am planning to swap it into the 4.3 truck what do you think of it? Imagine it being basically like a 454 ss but well a 496 ss in this case
I have a intimidator 2006 with certificate. I watch your videos so that's how i know you are in to them 933 intimidator were made
Well done taking on little cousin.
Memorial Day makes us think n remember those that have gone before us. What they left us , their legacy.
As an older retired guy, and feelin the temporary of this life. I reflect on the seeds that we plant , that I planted. The good , and the bad.
Passing on the important wisdom. Practice ways . Working knowledge on how things works. Verbal judo.. How to talk to folks (and listen ) . How to ‘read’ them.
Having a good mentor can make all the difference to any person.
A tip of my hat to you Jonathan.
I got to add . Now this is probably typical old guy thought… BUT HERE IT IS : Experiment and paint the roof white.
I’ve seen a few fire emergency vehicles in that configuration.
My 59 El Camino was painted white and green.. quite cool inside… I had that vehicle for at least two years in Houston Texas.. now I worked outside. ( hi rise construction) . And I was a little used to the weather , but the practicality would not be lost on a good portion of the people that would be interested in this practical truck.
I personally only buy white new vehicles. Ever since I lived in Houston. … are used to take an all white 68 El Camino down to beaches along the Texas coast .. often drive on the beach and sit on the hood n watch the girls go by.. the silver n darker cars you could fry n egg on em.
Just saying 🤔 just a thought….. then of course I look at somebody’s paint jobs on these muscle cars that people come up with and wonder why did they ruin that car?… only person that loves that paints scheme was the owner…. Again just a thought.
If and when I buy new . I choose white I meant to say . … man that hurts my heart when I see that kind of paint damage.
Yessir I appreciate the knowledge and wisdom that you have! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Just some random thoughts from a retired guy. Thank you for taking us along for the ride! I also am learning from you Jonathan!
Ls motor get max torque aroud 4000rpm and up
J. Anthony would you sell the truck as is?
lol bro it’s nice but really not as rare as you think lol
You my kind sir have no idea what you are talking about. This is a VHO.. it’s more rare to see one of these than a SS…
It’s 1 of 622 or 957 (depending on the source) 2004 Sierras if it has the B4V RPO in the glove box designating it a real VHO.
@@MiddleboroFirewood I will check on that thanks a lot 🙏🏾
@@MiddleboroFirewoodjust know got a chance to check for RPO code in glove box and it does have the B4V code… I’m going to go ahead and order the badging.. thank you sir! 🙏🏾
The VHO badge (GM part# 15222752) appears discontinued. Any dealer should be able to see if anyone in the country has a set on the shelf through the parts locator tool. If not, it might be a tough find.
