    Hi martyn
The motor might have been loose as a sausage up a shirt sleeve.. BUT IT DID SOUND GOOD.... Totally understand why you came in hot. Its a maiden and you wasn't comfortable with the prop... Yet another successful maiden.... Keep em coming

Hi Brian - I don't think it was loose until it tipped over - the prop dug in and put strain on the top two screws one of which popped right out only have 5mm of thread in the Plastic bulk head.... watching the video again I also think it had a good sound - I have flown it again (Sunday) but cannot recall the sound it made - will check when I upload that video later this week. - Stay well ..

@@FlankerTanker last year on my field there was a guy with a 1400 mustang and it sounded exactly the same.. Nice throaty rasp.... Done the repairs to the hurricane every surface now has pinned nylon hinges... But NO anti cartwheel device fitted that's still in the making might take the scout out tomorrow and freshen up on my stunt skills because of that young gal showing us up....

Hello, I own the Dynam Pitts M-12. I purchased a spare motor mount for it, like you I had problems with the screws. It turns out that there are recessed nuts on the backside of it!! Crazy stuff to use screws in stead of bolts.
    AirHammer out!!

Very Interesting I might double check mine - but it did look as if the screws (so short) went into just plastic - it was a pain to build/assemble - but credit where it is due - its a good flying machine...

@@FlankerTanker with the old mount(that's still on the plane) I used longer and slightly bigger screws. Which is how I discovered there are nuts back there. It pushed them out of their sockets. I ended up getting a new one. Glued the nuts in place and added a thin backplate so they won't come out. Went to the store and bought the correct bolts. I keep it as a backup. Most of Dynam's planes do fly nicely.

This is a great looking plane Martyn and well done for getting her up and down in one piece on her maiden flight. Seems you have got to the bottom of the recording issues too - haha 😂

Thanks Sean - it was a PIG to assemble - (as are most Dynam models) so I was quite please to see how it sounds and fly's - not bad at all :-), regarding the recording - complete new set of Batteries for the camera's along with a few new Micro SD cards seems to have done the trick - Mind you I don't help - did a whole flight with the Mobius Lens cap ON !!!!!! ..LOL..

I’ve got one of these, smashed it twice. First time I thought it was the radio and lost signal - had nothing
Second time, different radio gear and same thing. Turned out it was my esc shutting down due to overheat/load
Mine had a 30a esc, and I ended up buying a watt meter to check it.
It draws 45a with the big prop!
Check yours before you loose it due to this, as you’ll end up pushing it faster once you are more comfortable. With a bit of luck you might have a bigger esc than mine came with

Thanks for the heads-up on this one - I have checked and mine has a 40A BEC ESC - driving the standard 12 x 6 Dynam Prop -that came with it, I have also now balanced the Prop - I will put it onto a watt meter this week - all going well I will fly it again next weekend weather permitting... once again thanks for the info.... I am having issues with the retracts they bent a few mm and don't close all the way now as the wheels do not line up with the wheel bays by about 2mm - I am trying to bend them back but not having much luck right now.. I might take then off and use a vice....

@@FlankerTanker funny you say that, the Dynam Focke Wolf has the same issues with the retracts. Its what put me off a gorgeous plane. I'm really loving this Texan too but the retracts thing is putting me off
