    He was part of the slickest back line I have ever seen with Locky at the Helm....Hodges and Tate in the center and Karmichael always putting the finishing touch of brilliance on the back end, much like Locky/Slater did. I have never seen such aesthetic and fast paced set plays, I miss those days.

    Honestly I hope brisbane bring him back, he played 5/8 for Queensland he’s played halfback for Brisbane, he’s the right man to kick start em in the right direction. He won’t turn em in to premiership contenders. But when we have a lead he will know how to hold it. When we are on attack in the opposite 20m he won’t sit back and watch like milford, dearden and Croft do, and he won’t just pass it to a prop 5m like Croft and dearden do on the rare occasions they get interested. Pangai jnr, haas, staggs isako and several others are all a good indication of a good team, they have the athletic capabilities. They lack the brains from a halfback and the heart a guy like Parker, Carroll, Ryan used to deliver. The broncos as a team are what the cliche athlete is in Hollywood physically gifted buffoon.

    Like Wendel he could've stayed in league and became a Broncos, Queensland and Australian legend but like Wendel he became just a remembered name in our great code and respective codes they played in. They went for the massive coin for the short term gain but will have lost out overall as their lives go on. The difference is when Wendel walks down a Qld street half the people say "hey Del ya mug" and when Langer does the same every body say "Alfieeeee.....Maaaaate!"

    • @TheBlackestOfButters
      @TheBlackestOfButters 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lost out overall? He was able to earn enough money to set up his family up for generations financially. When he gets older he is going to see his kids and grandkids have opportunties that not many have, i'd take that over slightly better greetings from strangers and being mentioned in the occasional best players lists.
