1968 JLO 292 Snowmobile Engine - Teardown Pt.1

Today we will be having a go at a vintage, and honestly quite rare, 1968 Arctic Cat snowmobile engine. I found this engine in extremely poor condition hidden away in a corner of my grandfathers shed. At one point it was used for a time as a log splitter motor, before being stashed away to rust in obscurity. With hard work, luck, and a lot of WD40, there might be hope to this engine running yet..
This footage was shot right at the end of fall last year, and also my first real attempt at doing something like this. Next video will (hopefully) improve in quality.

Nice Clear Video. Be nice if you gave engine Spec's. Like JLO L-292 (75mm x 66mm) 292cc, rated 14.6hp@4500 and CR used ???. JLO L-295 is (74.5mm x 67mm) also 292cc rated 18.5hp@5500rpm using ????cr. CARB sized used also helps.

For now, no. I do not know where to get performance parts, even if i had a clue on how to improve a 2-stroke
