Some confusion regarding the dual sim 4G functionality both the sim slots are 4G but the issue is the moment you make one of the sims as 4G or 3G the other sim slot will revet to 2G which is strange coz on most other dual-sim smartphone if you make the first or second sim 4G the other sim can work on both 3G / 2G but on this Honor 6x it just accepts 2G.
Geekyranjit sir when will the 4gb ram version with 64gb storage version will be Avilable in india and how did you get it ??

it's a bit disappointment..
kindly check speed with Airtel 4g in 1st sim (Coz jio already have speed issues hence not asking for tht otherwise no prob with tht too) without any other sim in second sim slot & then with another sim which is 3g or 4g enabled.. (d0 u notice any difference in speed ?)
coz from somewhere i read or listened tht it affects the speed when u have 3g or 4g sim in second sim slot rather than 2g sim.. it may be rumor but want it to test by you if possible..

In settings , it actually let u choose from both sim slots tht which sim u want as 4G & which sim for data (both options are there) u can select either 1st sim as 4g oR 2nd sim as 4g , your choise & Nd separately u can choose from which sim it should provide Data connection.. Your choise !!
u can select any sim as 4g from both - change tht option from phone On , no need to physically take out the sim & insert it to 1st sim slot for 4g !!
now question is why this happen in honor devices ??!!

honor may do this kind of things to optimize more battery efficiency.. & according to many techy ppl if 3g mode is enable where 3g network is not available or not in use
it eats battery significantly.. ( evn more than when 3g available & in use - tht's y we do GSM only mode rather than WCDMA as trick to reduce battery drain when no 3g available) & In practical way , most of us particularly when we have activated 1 desired sim as 4g or 3g we won't use second sim as 3g too.. Here , i wanna say both sims are capable of 4g/3g/2g & without need of changing it physically..
well it's a little draw back for sure but not tht much big as it seems to be at very firsttime..!!

The minimum brightness of the screen of Honor 6x is still a little too bright to look at when you turn off the lights at night, isn't it? Is someone else also facing this problem or is it just me? @Geekyranjit- If you could have a look at it and compare it with other phones, this would really help. Thanks in advance.

i own the 32 gb version, and everything he says in this video is true except one thing it doesnt take 4 hrs of charging time, it takes about 2 hours to charge fully, which is fine, the battery is good, and camera too, camera is totally fun, if u like photographyits for u, bt heavy gaming is not for this phone, bt i still play some heavy games and its runs fine for half n hour after that it starts to lag as it heats up, also heating is an issue while playing heavy game with wifi or mobile data on, also theres some issue with the screen contrast, it automatically bumps up while playing games or watching videos(atleast in mmy case it happened), also otg does not support copy paste option, both sim slots are 4g, but only one can be running 4g at a time, u can choose either for 4g, i dont understand why is it so, doesnt make any sense, otherwise its a good devise if u can ignore these things. :)

Sayan Roy I think g4 plus is still gud due to laser auto focus.... I have g4 and seen review of 6x...but Moto is still better..😃😃😃😃
@GeekyRanjit - Now amazon india also revealed in official specs on site at a time of sell that it has dual SIM dual-standby (4G+4G) with VoLte support - check out specs if u can't believe..!!

on antutu the gets 57k whereas R4 gets 60k.

Same performance, better display, better battery backup and most important - Fast Charging. Once you start using a device with fast charging you'll now how it improves the experience.
But the price difference is significant so if you are tigh on budget then chose RN4,elss p2 is better.

These Honor phones are really amazing. I think the Kirin processors are superb. This is the reason Huawei Is doing so well in the West. I saw a speed test between honour 6 x and Xiaomi Note 4. Frankly speaking the Note 4 is no match for the 6 X...thumbs up to Huawei for their outstanding works.

OMG!!!!.....what the honor has done...??!!!:(....completely spoil the device by not giving 2nd slot of sim to 4g....4g is the future and it is going to be cheaper with the coming months....by not having 4g usage on both slots is a big CON....and users will be frustrated....HELL!!!..My RN3 doesnot have such issue...i am using both reliance jio and airtel 4g on both sims

Sir is the beautify mode a separate mode for the front camera or does it stay on by default when you open the front camera ?

JANAK PATEL : coolpad is very good even note 3 lite is very good in camera and audio player very very good which is very poor in 6x if you really a audiophile old don't go for this. apps can't move to SD card

why not snapdragon in this one . would have been a good phone with snapdragon 625 . set the price to 15000 and get in a snapdragon 625 ,would have beaten Redmi note 3 both in performance and camera and would have also been a good competition for upcoming Moto g5 plus . honor you missed the trick again , there's no swag without snapdragon !!

Mr.Ranjit,can you suggest a earphone which will provide a very good bass and in-depth sound output through this honor 6x? Currently,I am using a senheiser cx-180 which doesn't do the job although it was relatively good through Mi phones.
Great review! A quick questions. Does this phone support external mic while doing video recording. I have Samson Go mic, will use to input audio via USB mic in "Open Camera" app. I have seen that this works well in Redmi 3s very well. @geekyranjit can you confirm if this phone has fast charging? i know you said your handset might have been faulty and why it might be taking so long to charge. it's mentioned on Amazon that it has fast charging i think.

Could you please test the network connectivity/coverage test of honor 6x with snapdragon 820 phones?
As honor claims it has its patented network switching algorithm but I never saw anyone doing it ever(well not even for any other phones).
Try a sim with bad coverage at your place in both phones and check which one performs well...?
