Growing period is the active period of plants when they undergo physiological process like photosynthesis, in temperate areas like leh ladakh either there is maximum dormant period or time in the year is ceased or limited for growing (growing time is =bud sprout to leaf shedding). Thus growing period is less (deciduous or dormant, physiological process ceased).
