It's a Flap T. R at the end of a word or syllable is vocalic so the T is between 2 vowel sounds in this word. IT sound like "star-did." Hope this helps! :)

I guess it takes hundreds and thousands of repetitions to make this skill automatic... but who said it would be easy)))

Great suggestions! I was considering a series on phrasal verbs- I had thought to talk about meaning but you are right- talking about the linking in the pronunciation should be included! And to clarify, you are saying some help with linking regular past tense verbs (-ed ending) to common words like "it," "you," & "and?"
