Definitely not the first time the dog had this done. I had a pekingese that I would take clippers to at the beginning of every summer. When she saw me with the clippers, she would roll over on her back and close her eyes and lay perfectly still.
what will damage it, this blowing out his fur ? yeh..... no .... so when wolves shed their fur they should stay out of the wind right ? haha.... nope, even a groomer (only got 1 in my vicinity) does this...
This isn't damaging anything. Huskies blow out their coat every year, the blower only removes already loose hair. Its either this or all over your house for several months. Cutting their hair will damage it. The blower blows cold air, when I use mine a always keep my hand one their body in the air stream to make sure it hasn't malfunctioned and its never gone hot. My boys love the cold air!
I wish someone would do a video of a FULL grooming for one of these guys, I find it relaxing to watch. I have to take my cat to the groomer every 2 months or so because her long hair gives her hair balls when she bathes herself. She absolutely will not tolerate the cat grooming brush (there are teeth marks sunk into the handle from all the times she's tried to kill it).
I just straight up shave my cat during the summer mostly. She's super fluffy, less fur around the house and she doesn't get hairballs. She doesn't particularly like it, but she'll sit better for me shaving her down (which I admittedly suck at) vs brushing
Don't know what kind of brush you used because you didn't specify, but, for what it's worth, my friends' cats all hated being brushed with pretty much every brush they ever tried, but when the one friend tried a Sleek EZ on her cat (a cat who would often run in the other direction as soon as she saw a brush), and I tried it on my other friend's cats (especially the one who her owner said almost wouldn't tolerate any brushing), they loved it - the one friend's cat (the one who would run in the other direction) actually begs to be brushed now. Apparently the way the Sleek EZ works feels basically the same to a cat as them grooming themselves (minus the wet part), so I guess that would be why they didn't outright hate it. We use the big ones for shedding out the horses in the spring and fall (we have a total of 5 big ones because we often have multiple riders using them at the same time), and they work better than any of the other brushes and combs we have for that purpose - one of the horses, his winter coat is much longer hair than the rest of the horses, and he fully sheds out twice in the spring (his coat is 2 different colors mixed together, and each color sheds separately), but when he sheds, he sheds all at once, so the ground gets covered the same way as in this video; we use the medium one for the dogs (and sometimes for the horses' legs, since the big ones are a little too unwieldy for that), and the small one for the cats and the horses' faces (mechanics are all the same, just 3 different sizes). Not sponsored or affiliated in any way, I just fell in love with them the first time I used one 10 years ago, and they have never disappointed me, so I share about them with anyone who says their cat or dog, but especially cat, doesn't like to be brushed, in case it's helpful at all.
Always protect your dogs ears One blow in an ear and you can cause damage to an ear drum and possible deaf. Use a sock around the head and cover his ears.
I still find it satisfying to watch. I wish I could try this on my german spitz mix, but he's scared of everything. I'm also allergic to dogs, but almost my entire family owns a dog.
Was SO worried about the possibility of the dog being shaved at first but am pleasantly surprised to see an interesting way to dislodge fur! This is smart 💕
I bought a blower for my Cattle Dog off of Amazon. Best thing I ever bought him. He happily jumps on the bench to get his fur blown out because it feels nice.
Just be careful, its completely fine to air blow a dogs loose and dead fur out but make sure its a pet grooming drier and not a drier that produces heat or hot air. or you will burn the fur.
I love pet owners that actually know how to properly groom their pets. Instead of having their pets live with that amount of fur on them and letting it mat up and then having to shave them down in order to save the coat.
jenna marie parsons there are people who desperately search the comments section looking for people that could possibly have been offended by animal videos. theyre nearly worse than the people who actually do get offended
My Dude Since you can't control suction a vacuum pulls at their skin. Besides, The vacuum gets clogged just trying to clean up when I have to brush them inside, lol. The blower is good for reducing shedding, drying after baths, and actually blows out dirt in between baths, since you shouldn't bathe huskies often.
My Dude lol, it doesn't stay in my yard for more than a day. The neighborhood birds take it away for their nests, they love it. It'd drive me mad if it all just hung out on my patio for weeks too, but then I'd just use a shop vac to clean it up at that point.
My old neighbor had 5 Huskies. You can only imagine how much hair he would pull off during the spring/summer. There was a white line along the fence and I think yes many birds nests were made from their hair
I had to leave my job as a dog groomer due to unfair treatment in the workplace and dangerous working conditions, but this is one thing I really miss for some reason. Watching this video was SO satisfying!
now I understand why my best friends house (growing up) used to be covered in hair.. EVERYWHERE. They had a husky, and I only saw his mom ever doing 3 things... Cleaning, cooking, and brushing the husky. HAIRBOMB.
I swear, every time I see a husky, it just reminds me of my aunt's own dog. We called him Hunter and his a big, excitable boy. I loved to rough around with him, and just pick him up. Good times with my ol' buddy.
My Siberian hates being brushed, washed the entire nine yards and even with a can of cookies in-front of him I am lucky to get a few minutes in of it at a time. And he hates being in-front of a fan and runs from vacuums so I doubt I could get away with a blower like that on him. He usually screams so loud when given a bath neighbors come running thinking I was killing him.
It can be! you have to use some sort of special shampoo. 1 wash your dog 2 normal dog shampoo 3 wash normal dog shampoo out 5 put the special dog shampoo in 6 let that sit for 10 min 7 wash out and blow your dog dry with a hard blowing vacuum (cold/warm is best)
My pomski does that when she gets her nails clipped, David. The whole vet waiting room is laughing out loud. At least she likes water though. Makes her easy to bathe.
Angel Light it's a high velocity blower. They sell them in Amazon. If you have a double coated dog don't skimp on price, read the reviews. They have some cheaper ones that are less powerful and will not help with a husky blowing out his coat.
Templar K Sorry, I never saw your comment. I don't know what this specific one is but I got mine on Amazon. Just search the reviews for husky and see what other owners have said about how well it works for them. Be prepared to spend at least $250, possibly more on one strong enough for their double coat. A groomer can do this for you, it just makes more economical sense for me to do it myself since I have 3.

DJ Jea I have both a husky and German Shepherd as well. And we can vacuum at least once a day and fill it to the top at least twice with nothing but fur and a hint of dirt lol. If we slack off and vacuum only once every few days to a week we get enough fur to make a second dog lmao
I thought the dog had a hole in its leg.
Isaiah DeVore I thought it was a dog abuse video for a second.
Same
yeah me too once i saw the thumbnail i was shocked
Me too!!!!((((;゚Д゚)))))))
omg same
I tried this on my cat. The good news is I'm recovering well and should be released from hospital soon
Noice
Hilarious!!!
🤣🤣🤣
Glad to hear your recovering well. Some ppl don’t live to tell the story
Lol
And some birds are going to make a comfy-ass nest out of all of the fur too!
can they really?
Wisp D yes they make nests out of thin branches, hair, and sometimes insulation from houses
Wisp D Yup, you can clean your own hairbrush out and toss it into a bush, usually a bird will find it
Yes ! I have 2 huskies and I put it out for the birds-they take it every spring
Wisp D yes, I have nests in our trees every year with my huskies fur. They look nice and comfortable.
I love the husky’s calm and understanding demeanor during this whole process.
It feels good for them. My husky doesn’t enjoy the noise but she knows she will feel better when it’s over.
Usually they scream like a maniac within a meter of a vacuum cleaner!
After seven hours of vacuuming, the dog disappeared, the owner realized that he owned a large pile of hair.
OMG you made me seriously crack up on that one!
Lmao
LOL
good one
Lol
Guy: vacuuming dog*
Birds: order the good wine boys its nest time
Hmm, I think you just lost half a dog?
Lol
In that starting pose, it looked like there was a big hole in the leg.
Lost half of its hair

It’s so funny how into this your dog was, turning for you on their own.
It probably feels great to have all that shedded fur actually come out of their coat
Definitely not the first time the dog had this done. I had a pekingese that I would take clippers to at the beginning of every summer. When she saw me with the clippers, she would roll over on her back and close her eyes and lay perfectly still.

PointyTailofSatan 😂😂😂 glad Im not the only one
That doesn't sound comfortable tho
Diane Wetford I think it'll be fine as long as it's not on high power.
Lol be careful before they give you a ticket
I wanted to try this but my dog is afraid of the vacuum
You must keep your dog extremely well brushed for the fur to blow out like that. No matting at all. You are a good owner!
I can't be the only one that thinks this is satisfying
no u're not the only one, girl xp xp....
Samara Lyle I'm the same don't worry
I like it too lol. I need to do this with my german shepherd. Thing is he is scared of the vacuum XD
Isaac So is my doggy. He hides under the table when I vacuum. He was abused before I got him though.
Its your ASMR and its caused by the vaccum cleaner and not so much as the dogs fur being removed.
As a bather at a pet salon.. I love when dogs come in like this so I can watch all the hair come out lol satisfying
Snow came earlier this year lol
Right! XD
But I'm watch in 2019 LOL
there was a whole nother dog under there

Sounds like my cat. We gave up and now just cut off the parts of her fur that get matted, and otherwise she keeps up the grooming herself

It's not the fur people are allergic to. It's the dander that's why hypoallergenic dogs still have hair.
