    The overfilling rough running issue is due to the charcoal canister. The canister has a switch that kills the ignition when it gets gasoline in it. The design is meant to protect the motorcycle if you drop it with the engine running. Gasoline will enter the charcoal canister and the bike will shut off. You can see the hole for the charcoal canister when you open the gas cap. It’s at the 11 o o’clock position.

    A quick tip, if you can't find a match at the hardware store for a too long bolt, is buy a regular hex nut of the proper size. If you go to Home Depot or to Lowes or maybe to your local hardware store, they can help you to select the proper nut. Then, when you get home, screw the nut on to your bolt, leaving the length that you want to cut off extending out past the nut by a thread or two. Then cut it off with, say, a hack saw. Just clamp the nut into a vice to hold it steady. Then take a file to smooth the cut end off - but this is sort of optional. Then, when done, remove the nut. This will straighten out and realign the threads on the bolt. You should now be able to thread the bolt in just like the others.
    Piece of cake.
    This presumes that you have some tools at your disposal. Ain't gonna be able to do this with a scissors and a butter knife. But if you bought a motorcycle, and especially a Chinabike........you're probably going to need tools anyway,.

    I like mine for what it is. I get 85 mpg on 91 octane. As a commuter it works well, but I get a whopping 0 smiles per mile out of it. I prefer my Kawasaki W800, but my KPM has a place in my garage too.

      Haha well yeah I can see how that is true, it’s my first bike and I’m still getting this little guy up to speed around the bends and it’s so slow that I don’t feel like I’m going to approach a turn going to fast. Definitely will be upgrading down the line though 🤙

      @@lightenupindustries7522 that was my thought when I bought it as my first bike too. “It doesn’t have the power to kill me on accident.” There is nothing wrong with the motorcycle, it’s perfect for a beginner.

    Did you have any trouble with the wires in the headlight housing? After opening my headlight to tighten turn signals I haven't ben able to get the clips inside to align, I got it back together but there's a small gap. Would you (or anyone reading this) have any ideas on how I can fix this?

    • @lightenupindustries7522
      @lightenupindustries7522  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I have never opened up the headlight housing, and not sure if this helps but there seems to be a difference between a lot of things depending if they go on the right or left side.

    Do you still have it? I had one for a few months and loved it. I only sold it with just shy of 2500 miles because my commute to work I average 65 mph and it was basically running full tilt for 30 minutes. I had full exhaust and did the snorkel delete on mine and it definitely gained a couple horse power.

      I do man, haven’t been doing much riding lately and that highway thing is a serious concern, I totally understand. It’s a fun bike lol it’s so slow that completely ripping down a road it’s more embarrassing than dangerous sometimes but I’m going to keep it for a little while longer. Did you get something different instead?

    Did you apply clearcoat the panels after painting them? And how hard was it to sand them and get rid of that residue? Want to paint mine as well lol

    • @lightenupindustries7522
      @lightenupindustries7522  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      funny you ask, I used clear coat one one side and didnt on the other. The side with clear coat honestly looks worse, it’s just got more orange peel but that could have just been my own fault.
      It wasn’t very hard to sand them, I did it by hand but you need to make sure you sand them enough particularly where the decal is. Peeling the decal off will show a factory clear coat line. Unfortunate but just takes a bit more time.

      @lightenupindustries7522  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem man, but you would probably still be able to see at least the outline if you paint over it. If you take your time and sand it properly and use the correct paint it could come out great, you can also buy them online on there website in black with the decal

      @@lightenupindustries7522 Yes. Here was the issue. Most main fuses are 30 amps and located under the seat of most bnikes. This one is underneath and in between the seat and the tank and is comprised of two blue 15 amp fuses and two spares. the 2x 15 amps as you guessed make it a 30 amp. One was blown and was the cause of me not getting any power to the bike.

    Is there any kick to getting up to speed? I’m not looking to go fast but want to enjoy the ride? Or is it just solely good mileage type bike? Also how is handling?

    • @lightenupindustries7522
      @lightenupindustries7522  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this is my first bike but I have rode a handful of others so in my own experience it’s got just enough speed to have a ton of fun on the twisties, It’s certainly enough to keep up on California streets, freeway is a different story. I do find myself shifting a lot but that’s a common issue with bikes less then 400cc. To me it’s a bike to have fun and not save money but i get at least 80mpg which is acceptable.
      Handling is good, of course it’s not a Moto GP bike and the shocks are pretty basic but if you are really only hitting 60 mph there isn’t a ton of stress on them. I flipped the handlebars and that seems to help my cornering ability a lot because it puts me in more of a race position. But overall it’s been so great and it was so cheap that if I drop it or have a scary moment I’m not extremely concerned which makes it more fun lol 👍
