So he was brought on for the second half of Zeo as well as a role in the movie - can't remember if him being evil in the Turbo movie was part of his "demand" for coming back. It worked - ratings for the second half of Zeo spiked. But after the debacle of Turbo (writers/cast unhappy) they decided to more or less scrap everything and start over, with In Space pitched as the series finale for Power Rangers (but instead it skyrocketed the popularity of the show back up and it continued on for another 15 something years).

Seriously, Jason was the bomb. I always love his little speech at the end of Green with Evil 4. It was a shame the character didn't stay, he was seriously the defining Red Ranger. Would have loved to see how White Light and the following episodes were originally supposed to go, before the voiceover changes to cover the actors' leaving.
The best thing about power rangers was that both genders and all races could dream of being a power ranger! Like the Planeteers and Captain Planet you could interact and join in.
I like Jason as the Zeo Gold Ranger with the Black and Gold suit, a nice contrast to Tommy as the MMPR White Ranger in White and Gold, little rivalry stuff going on there.

He played Ryan Steel (I hope it's spelled correctly) in VR Troopers. The original protagonist of that series (which was then called Cybertron) was actually called Adam Steel. And who played that part? Exactly! Jason David Frank. This was one of the reasons that Tommy Oliver originally wouldn't return after he lost the Green Ranger powers. But that character was too popular.

Actually Silver Ranger from In Space had one, I just don't think they used it. It was on the official soundtrack.
