The thing I love about this drama so far is that because of his feelings for her Xu Kai's character acts out of the ordinary. She inspires him to be someone that she can see herself with, he's not changing himself, but he is allowing himself to grow for her.
I love these first few episodes, how their love started and grew even deeper, its pure, Shanggu melted Ice Cube's heart, he looks so innocent falling in love. Usually the Male approaches the female but our very own Shanggu is doing all the work, she's so cute.
Xukai is born to be ancient /historical actor, i knw his so handsome in modern drama but xukai visual in ancient drama wearing robe, with long hair, hits different to me. His so freaking handsome
She is the youngest chinese actress who won the coveted triple gold grand slam award in a movie. Her caliber in acting is not just simple she's very famous in China and HK and one of the highest paid actress.
She took the lead and he didn’t push back. Her advantage as his student/disciple, is being by his side. Her advantage from T’s sabotage was she sees and understands his past. BJ adores her! That smile while she flew the kite, almost like he recaptures the love and childhood he didn’t get growing up. She could approach him and get closer then anyone else. Heart, mind and soul…sweet.
What I like about them is that they started liking each other in a rational way. There were no random quarrels that didn't make sense and got no closure, they didn't somehow hate each then suddenly liked each other and the fl & ml didn't misinterpret the others good sentiments to being something evil.They are too cute.
Shanggu finally realizes her feeling for baijue and baijue starts to smile more 😁. Tianqi and yuemi exchange is so funny, lol about the brothers part, he knew about her feeling but he's pretending not to 🤣

The girl who planted the flowers, purposely spilled water on the girl she was jealous of and, Baijue seen through her facade. He is a man of peace and he seems to be of noble character. What the drink spiller lady did, was not of noble character. Shanggu is compassionate and gave her soul bead to him, in order to save him. She is selfless. To find an selfless and loyal soul in a world where everyone proves to only be out for themselves, or attracted to you because of you power, possessions and beauty, is a rare find and should be appreciated and cherished. It is only natural to fall in love or admire a soul so pure. But that is all that I could gather from the first 5 episodes.
Xu Kai's visual is no joke. I'm awestruck since the first time i saw him in the drama "Once upon a time in Lingjian mountain". His godly appearance really justifies his character here too. I can't even focus on the subs when his face is on-screen. 😅
Have u watch his drama in Qing Luo? It's also comical character, even more funny than Tian qi character. I cant stop laughing for his acting at that drama 😆😆
