We also show you how to use the Gran Lattissima to make coffee for the first time.
Included in the video is a demonstration of how to perform a cleaning cycle before first use and also how to make a coffee. In this video we make a latte macchiato.
Finally, we show you how to clean the steam wand on the machine. This will mean that no stale milk gets left inside the wand when you detach the milk frother and store it in the fridge.

You can also customise the volume of milk and coffee on this by pressing and holding the buttons for milk drinks or just coffee. Should be press and hold while it froths milk, then stop pressing when desired milk volume achieved and then press and hold again to set coffee volume 👍

A2B Productions I thought you’d have to heat and foam the milk yourself, nice to see the machine does it for you. I have just gone for the Vertuo deal so can’t justify this machine as well but on my wish list now for the (hopefully near) future!
Yeah I was unsure how it all worked too. Seems quick and easy to clean (with no aeroccino) which is a bonus but will be doing a few more videos with it, so will see if any issues come up. Yeah I remember you saying you'd got that deal, have fun with that one for a while first eh 👍
Nice video as always. You had one of the better unboxing videos I have seen, nice and fast touching on the important bits. The black model is beautiful. I am a yank, but lived in Australia for three years for work. It is where I was introduced to Flat White. They are just wonderful. It is now my preferred coffee drink. This machine makes an excellent Flat White. Good luck with this machine. Looking forward to your further review.
Cheers mate 👍 I actually edited out some unnecessary bits, so glad it worked in the video. Yeah we like our flat whites too! Have you tried a cortado? Similar to a flat white but the milk isn't quite as frothy. I love those.
@@A2BProductions It's funny you asked that. I have not. However, I just recently ordered a Gaggia Cadorna machine which offers a cortado. I will certainly give this a try when my machine arrives.
Nice introduction to the Gran Lattissima machine,certainly one of the best looking machines from Nespresso and no separate frother.
Can't wait to see your full review of this machine,hope it lives up to expectations as I'm in the market for a new machine and I like the look of this.
Some reviews from America suggest that the frother starts to malfunction after a while,be interesting to see if you experience the same.

The flat whites on this are amazing. It makes the full drinks, no input from you other than selecting the type. Hot milk and hot froth if you want a longer milky drink or use with hot chocolate powder or syrup for more milky drinks options. The cleaning cycle only needs to be run after a few cups, it’s more a reminder to do it. You trade a tiny bit more noise, you’ll never even notice really for full automation but you can tailor drinks too.

Also, can you just do milk without the coffee? Just wondering if you want something weird like a lungo pour with milk.
Yes you can do just milk and you can also set the cup size by just holding the button down.

Luv your videos they are very informative! Would you say it’s best to get one of these lattissima machines or a citiz plus a separate aeroccino 4? I’m a fan of milk based coffees and am debating which machine to get.
The Aerocinno heats and froths (by spinning) the milk. The Lattissima machines actually steam the milk (as per a normal coffee shop machine). In my experience, the steaming of milk releases natural sugars in the milk better than the aerocinno. My first two machines were aerocinno based - but the last few have been Lattissima ones - I definitely prefer the Lattissimas.
Also, I found cleaning the bottom of the aerocinno (to remove burnt milk) quite onerous. Cleaning the Lattissima steamer unit is straightforward - just run the dismantled parts under a hot water tap (or stick in Dishwasher).
Thanks for that, glad you like them. Personally I'd pick the Citiz and aeroccino 4 over a lattissima as I prefer the froth and taste of the coffee when made with the aeroccino forther. Of all the Nespresso machines my favourite is the Creatista, though, as I love the steam wand and the texture that gives to the milk.
Just catching up with your videos. I have always been intrigued by these milk machines and how easy they are to maintain. It’s styling is like my expert. I do wonder if Nespresso are feeling the pinch right now as they have loads of offers on and when one ends it’s not too long before another starts. Look toward to your full review, not that I need another machine! I have purchased 5 this year, plus the barista 🤣
Yeah I like the styling and looked like it would be a nighmare to maintain but seems easier then using an aeroccino up to now, as you just blast a little bit of steam through the wand after you've made a drink and bang the milk tank in the fridge for next use. Need to use it a bit longer though really as have only made a few coffees with it myself, my wife has used it more. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll try and answer them in the review.

Have found the coffee itself isn’t too bad heat wise with the Lattissimas but it’s the milk that seems to be the problem. Been a while since I used the this particular Lattissima but will be taking it out of the box again soon for a Lattissima comparison video. If you want a Nespresso machine that makes HOT milk based drinks then think the Creatista plus is a better option in this price bracket.

Cheers! It depends what you're wanting I guess. I've never owned a touch but going off the website you'd have to say the Gran Lattissima is better, as long as it froths the milk as well and the coffee is as hot as the Touch. Also as long as it froths milk consistently and without issues over time.
The touch has 4 different drink options whereas the Gran Lattissima has 6 (including hot milk and froth milk). The water tank holds 0.9 litres on the Touch but 1.3 on the Gran. Used capsule container holds 9 on the touch and 14 on the Gran. The Gran has a flat white setting and also a ristretto button which the Touch doesn't. Both are De'longhi branded on the UK Nespresso website but the Gran is more expensive (though a lot cheaper with the current offer that's on).
The only thing I can see that the touch has that the Gran doesn't, is a little dial on the top of the milk tank to manually control the froth level of the milk, which could come in handy I guess if you feel the milk is just a bit too frothy for you. The Gran is also bigger than the touch so will take up more worktop space.
If I had the two machines I'd test them side by side but hope some of the above info helps a bit!

Good unboxing well done! When you do the review I hope you will be talking about how fussy or fiddly and how much maintenance it needs, to me it seems rather fussy compared to cleaning a jug and frothing widget?
Thanks, appreciate that! Yeah that's certainly the plan! On first use it seems quicker and simpler than using an aeroccino but will get a better idea the more I use it and once I've had to clean out the milk tank.
With my aeroccino I found the milk often burnt at the bottom and was harder to clean out properly. With the Lattssimas, I just dismantle and run hot tap water through them after each cup (after the machine clean cycle). Takes me about a 90s for the tap water cleaning process.
