    I've watched over 50 videos on this device and yours was the first one to make me laugh. The TH-cam demo was priceless. Thanks for the laugh and the review!

      Thanks for watching Alex, always good to get a laugh out 😂 FYI they're adding google drive sync soon apparently, I've seen it's currently in beta testing! Always plenty of new features released

    This was such a great video! Of course it was a very solid, well thought-out review, but the overall *quality* of the editing it what really makes it stand out to me; it's just brilliant. I'm shocked that this doesn't have a million views, because it truly felt like it came from a creator with a whole studio behind them. I hope you're still creating content!

      Haha oh man OzBargain is a trap, I can spend so long looking at things I never needed to buy in the first place but if it's cheap then got to go for it 🤣

    Excellent that you describe hot e-ink works! When you understand that, the low latency is absolutely incredible

    • @camshand
      @camshand ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the low latency is phenomenal! I learnt about it when I built my own e ink based smart device th-cam.com/video/_ldr68pru4M/w-d-xo.html
      It's amazing technology, they even have colour e ink displays now, that blow my mind how precise they operate pulling pigments

      Really appreciate it 😁 I absolutely love my Supernote, has quickly become apart of my daily tech. I haven't been able to try the A5X yet, but after I made my review Supernote reached out so here's hoping in the future we work together on something new!

    Nice video! This device seemed promising, but unfortunately, it didn't quite fit my needs. I tried using it to integrate Supernote Nomad into my workflow, which mainly involves reading and annotating academic articles and books in PDF and epub formats. However, after three months of trying, I found reading PDFs (epubs were better to read but there is no possibility to export notes) and transferring annotating to be quite challenging, especially when it came to organising my notes systematically for future use. In the end, I decided to sell it online (luckily, someone happily bought it right away) and I went back to using a simple 79-cent notebook with my old Lamy pen. For now, my trusty 2013 Kindle remains my go-to for reading/highlighting books and a simple notebook for note-taking. My only regret (after watching your video) is not opening a TH-cam video on Nomad.

    I'd like to give this a try, but it's just too expensive for something that I may just collect dust after the initial week. It's half a grand AUD, and that's a tough pill to swallow for someone who isn't convinced that they need a permanent digital sketchpad.
    I use Google Keep a lot, and hand write a lot of stuff. I'd like integration with MS Excel and Outlook for starter. The whole Office 365 package, actually. That would require high enough specs, that it's push me towards an iPad Mini anyway.
    It seems cool. I'd like to try this for a fortnight. Hard to see that happening though.
    Good video Cam. You came close to convincing me to buy it. :)

    • @camshand
      @camshand 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      LOVE GOOGLE KEEP! I use it for every quick note when out and about. Pretty much live by it haha 😍
      I tend to write all notes for product reviews or ideas in keep, then transfer that to Word.
      For me, the supernote will then be the final destination for the script from word.
      It is pricey, I chose to go the supernote route so I had just enough of what I wanted. It does have email support for Outlook emails (just not the dedicated Outlook app).
      Technically you could put a PDF with links to Office365 web but the experience isn't supported.
      If you're after an e ink that can download those apps though take a squiz at BOOX.
      The BOOX range run Android with a less heavy skin/mod. I was very tempted to get one but knew I'd end up putting non-productive apps on it and defeat the purpose of a distraction-free device haha.
      At this price it's expensive for a dedicated digital note-taking device, it's on par with the Remarkable units (see comment above about a feature comparison).
      I'm just hoping it allows me to keep everything in one space.

    I have the A5X and it's replaced ALL of my note taking, journaling, and e-reading. I really enjoying using it. Biggest bug bear is file transfer up and down is a bit clunky, other than that, super happy with it.

    • @camshand
      @camshand ปีที่แล้ว

      That's awesome to hear! It's quickly done the same for me too, I haven't touched a notebook in weeks.
      It can be a bit tricky to get used to manually syncing back and forth, but the insane battery life because of it is so worth it 😁🤙

    Lmao! When I got mine, I was working and after work I convinced my bud to drive me to the DHL depot, and it wasn't there! The shipping was accurate, but by the time I got off work: it was at home! It took 2-3 weeks to get here I think, I don't remember. I've had it for a little over 6 months now

    • @camshand

      For sure an iPad is more feature rich. It's the limitations of the Supernote that makes me love it. I can put my phone away on do not disturb and then work distraction free. I found it too easy to just "google something" on the iPad and then go off on a rabbit hole haha

    I love my A6X! Great video, immediately subscribed ☺️
    Was just wondering what software version number you're on, as the new UI with the toolbar etc looked clean 😍

    • @camshand
      @camshand ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for subbing Niki 😃 As for software version I'm on the latest, right now that's 2.7.21, however I'm considering going to the beta as I've read they've added Google Drive sync support!!! Which is major for me as I use Google Drive for all my production documents and files. I absolutely love how they keep releasing really high value updates, and often 👍

      @NikiVaghela ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries dude, keep up the good work!
      Ah okay interesting! I wonder when the new toolbar would show up as I'm on 2.8.22 & have Google Drive support!
      They really seem to work with their customers closely and always take on feedback, especially on their Reddit & Trello pages! 😁

      Have had a brief hands on with a reMarkable, differences I know:
      I Found the screen to be firmer flex than the supernote. But the pen tip was softer (pen tips can always be changed though).
      BTW, the Lamy EMR pen works on the remarkable too, I tested my pen and visa versa.
      remarkable doesn't support Kindle book reading,
      Supernote gives free cloud storage for the total 21.26GB available space and can link to dropbox, remarkable charge A$6.99/mo for cloud storage access.
      Remarkable has better handwriting to text conversion server side if you pay for the subscriptions, supernote will convert locally without internet only into Word Docs (you can view handwritten notes via the cloud sync, just won't convert them to text).
      Personally I was after a small sized e ink tablet as my notebooks are typically small so that was also a supernote win for me.
      Plus their incredible transparency with the community with future updates and features in the pipeline was great to see www.reddit.com/r/Supernote/comments/tfj10x/official_supernote_software_roadmap_2022a5xa6x/
      I'm hoping to get some more time with a remarkable 2 to make a comparison in my future review video as I'm sure many want to know more :)

    Is the handwriting recognition on the device, it seemed to take a bit of time to process it.

    • @camshand
      @camshand 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it's local, will process offline without and internet connection.
      I haven't tested a lot to see if "better" handwriting makes it faster or not, but it's a neat feature.
      I'm going to be testing all of the markup features and make another video in the future when I've switched all my note taking to the supernote 👍

    I’m sold on getting the super note I just can’t decide between the 5 and 6. I think I’m leaning toward 6.

    • @camshand
      @camshand ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry on the slow response Traci, best thing I did was rule out on a page the screen dimensions from supernote, then wrote inside that dimension for a bit. It was the closest to the small notebooks I often carried around so that's why I chose the A6X. I do want to try out the A5X but I have no regrets with the portability and easy to hold A6X
