Hi, in your videos you come across as such a happy joyful person, with almost childlike excitement when you listen back to the fruits of your mentoring. Excellent tutorial as always. Peace!
Quick question if I may as I am overwhelmed with the amount of synths around. If you had to deep dive into one synth which one would it be. I like hypnotic techno by the way. Cheers and great content as always.
Hey, I'm curious about when you start bussing your instruments to say the 'Pad Bus' or 'Synth Bus' Do you just include a glue compressor and maybe an EQ to tame any unwanted frequencies.
I use the Utility template for Ableton Live, developed by Don Tyler. I have a video all about it here: th-cam.com/video/DJqt7PT7O3M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6TwQhrh1_-T7ytTN
How did you map your LFO? When I try to map it to RandSteps and RandPitch I get an error message: "Mapping unsuccessful: The selected parameter does not support this operation." I somehow accidentally managed to map RandPitch once, but it didn't make a difference to the playback.
On the LFO itself, you have to switch it from "MOD" (the new system) to "REMOTE" which is the old way of modulation. Once you do that, try again and it will work. I didn't realize this until you said something but hopefully someone else who's having trouble will see this reply!
I truly enjoy the technical skill you have when it comes to using Ableton and third party plugins along with your enthusiasm for making music. However I must say I’d watch a lot more of your content if you talked less. Your voice, conversely is quite harsh sounding certainly compared to the music you create. I find myself trying to hone into the nuanced modulation you’re adding and can’t really hear it because you’re laughing the whole time. I appreciate it’s probably an exciting moment for you but for me personally that’s the point I switch off. Would love a video where you don’t actually speak at all as I find it quite easy to follow what you’re doing as a fellow user of all this software. Thanks for all the content, I hope you’re not offended, just my view. 😊
Cool 🆒 but me must know computer music and electronic music in general is still in infancy better than 25 years ago but 25 years in the future will be amazing 🥲 hopefully lol 😂

Much appreciated! I love meeting other like-minded individuals who can feel my enthusiasm. Glad you found me!
I’ve been playing with that lfo technique and I think it’s a real game changer with making Ableton more modular like or as you said more like vcvrack!
Nicely done Chris
Sounds awesome 🤩 Thanks for sharing …
Nice deep dive today! Thanks!
Anytime! Thank you for being here.
“We’ll play a nice low C note..”🤘😩 14:48
Is it also available for DAWs, which support Midi, or only Ableton?
Ableton. Its a max for live device.
might have to come back...

Serum!
Do you release these tracks you build in the TH-cam videos? I would love to hear the finished product.
They eventually make it to release. My latest album had a bunch of tracks I made for tutorials: exospheremusic.bandcamp.com/album/whispers-of-the-void

@@s1gns0fl1fe Ah! Gotcha! Sneaky little MOD/REMOTE! That worked! Thanks!!! 👽

I’ve been noticing quite a bit of overlap between these new Ableton sequencers and Stepic 🤔
Right
Stepic is better and cheaper because it doesn't need the expensive Suite version of Ableton and works with other DAWs .
