I love that you didn't shy away from showing the difficult parts of your run. It's so important for others to realise they're not alone if they struggle sometimes- the training is definitely part physical and part mental! I see a marathon PB on the cards for you, Sarah, wishing you a great race 💪
You've got this Sarah! When you stopped I just kept saying "Don't cry don't cry don't cry!"
You did incredibly well!
I did my first run in years on Tuesday after watching your videos. 30 minutes on the treadmill, 2.7 miles, no walking. Aching like mad still 😂 but I was super happy. You have inspired me.
I say the same thing to myself when I walk for a minute during a long run 😂
@@spencerharper6182 sounds about right 🤣 I've yet to do a long run but I'm pretty sure I'll cry when I do
I was saying the same thing!!!! Don't cry.
Nah man, crying is just fine. If youre feeling it and its honest, go ahead and cry. It will be ok. Then, as Sarah says, pull youre socks up and carry on.
Runna is my favourite app. I dont usually stick with fitness apps but I truly love it. I am new to running after being diagnosed with MS. I completed my first 6km yesterday after not even being able to run for 30 secs at the start of the year without dying 😅😂 and I have a 10km race in June. Being able to run and move my body is such a privilege for me and I push myself through some of my hardest runs because if one day its no longer possible for me I will be proud of all the times I could and I did ❤
Your pace is ridiculous! I'm trying to hold that for a 5k and here you are crushing it on a long run while talking through it. Absolute grit.
I really like the mantra from Mo where you "choose a goal and then grow into the person that you need to be to achieve it". I'm going to keep that in mind for my first half marathon this fall! Cheering you on from Toronto, Canada -- go Sarah go!
All the best with the half marathon!
@@UTubeSL Thanks so much!
Fair do's Sarah that was a battle but not physical, that was definitely the head game. Well done, you are fantastic. Good luck at the marathon. 🎉
Are you doing the Waterfront Marathon?
Thank you for showing the reality of the training, the ups and the downs. Training is not just the physical but also the mental journey. In a world of social media where we only show the highs is great to see the highs and lows of the run and how you pushed through and succeeded. Well done and thank you. Wishing you well on race day
Brilliant video! Thanks for sharing your journey and inspiring us!
Awesome video, really helps with motivation. Good Job!!!
Damn Sarah, I remember your first marathon in Amsterdam like it was yesterday and now you are aiming for 3:30?! I can't believe this!!!
It's all come around quickly! Thanks for supporting us for so long! 😁
Incredible progress
I knew I could run my first marathon. As a slow runner, I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it in the 6.5 hours. Well, I ran the distance with lots of mistakes in 6 hours 35 mins. I now know I can do it quicker than that as I will not be making those mistakes as I was in pain most of time which caused me to run much slower, but I wasn't giving up.
Now that I have done it, I can't wait for May.
You can do it Sarah! It is important to hydrate and keep moving even if it is walking.
Thanks a lot for the video. Inspiring! Good luck!
So excited for you! Best of luck and hoping the weather cools down some!
A very inspirational video Sarah for all of us when we 'hit the wall' and think we can't go any further. As you said in your commentary, this will stand you in great stead for the London
Marathon and I know, we will all be wishing you on. Have a great day.
Your willingness to get back to it is so encouraging. Best of luck with your race and remember it is just the icing on the cake that has been all the runs that have gotten you to the starting line
Very brave for sharing this. Thank you
really enjoyed watching this marathon series! good luck!x
You guys, made me fall in love with running again and started running again for a month now! Have a half marathon in 2 months, your podcasts and these kind of videos keep me motivated! Thank you so much for re kindling my joy for running!
You’ve shown us your fortitude in training, leaving no doubt you’ll smash your marathon PB. Good luck reaching your goal.
Thank you for sharing your vulnerable moment. You are an inspiration!
Wonderful work once again, very inspiring!
I'm actually glad you share your difficulties as well as triumphs. It lets all of us know that we can suffer and still continue, that it's okay. Thanks Sarah!
Thank you! A long comment ahead -!My London Marathon training hit a dip a couple of weeks back when a cold hit me after I probably pushed a long run a little too hard (do Ricks un-had colds get shared out amongst the rest of us?!) and I've been kicking myself for it, trying to stay positive and be kind to myself... I've put in more work and focus into a run than I ever have before!
I got a PB 10k and half marathon in training!
I'm a fitter runner than I ever have been!
Yet I've still been having a go at myself...
Then I see someone else struggling (Sarah) with a training session, one that feels so important, and I want to say "Hey, you're smashing it, you're kicking butt, give yourself a break, be proud"... and I suddenly feel able to say those same things to me.
Mentally and emotionally boosted and excited for London!
Love watching you train for this marathon! So motivating!
Great video Sarah, thanks for sharing the tough bits too, a lot of videos make long runs look easy!
Excellent long-run workout, well done! Your warmup pace is around my Half-marathon pace and your goal Marathon pace is my 10K goal pace. A sub-3:30 Marathon finish is definitely on the cards.
Sarah!!! You and the people at the running channel have been a HUGE driving force in my 70 pounds lost as well as running journey and my channel!!! Youre an inspiration! You got this!
Respect for posting this. Good luck on the day. You’ll smash it.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Love the video! I think that you could definitely break 3:40! Good luck! 🏃 🏃♀️
You did so well! I felt so bad for you when you took that moment and I appreciate you showing the reality. I always thought I couldn't stop and/or walk during a marathon and then I ran one and came to the same realization you did and that is that it's not the worst thing. The worst thing for me would be not even trying.
Awesome work taking a moment then pushing on! You have got this!
Great video, good to see the struggles as well as the good times!
Hi I love the video your training is going great. Keep going. Good luck at the marathon.
I am, so excited to see what your time will be I think it will be around 3.38
Good luck
Great work, Sarah! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us all. Sending lots of good energy from Brazil! Keep it up :)
Love it! I need to try to push myself harder and you have some fantastic advice on doing that. Good luck with London!
Thanks for taking us on this journey and also showing the struggles. Good luck!
It's so amazing seeing how much progress you've made in just a few years! Your perseverance is so admirable - best of luck with the marathon!
Sarah, you are such an inspiration! I'm so excited for you! 💜
Amazing video Sarah and the run channel. Love the realities of a running journey and is helpful to see that it's not just me struggling in a training block. Doing my first half in June thanks to the videos and inspiration of trc. You'll smash your marathon Sarah! Stay strong.
Super relatable struggles, you are
doing great. Have a blast doing your victory lap in London🎉
Nice!! Well done Sarah and good luck for race day! Keeping fingers crossed for 3.5hrs!!
Good job! This channel has helped me in prepping for my first half marathon in a few weeks.
I hope you can use the fact that you and the team have motivated an incredible amount of people to run and reach their run goals as your own motivation.
Good luck on your marathon!
Amazing work!!! love your vids.
Awesome well done for toughing that out. Massive session!
Amazing effort. YT recommended one of your old videos of a 5k from a couple of years back and you have come so far...that is growing into the goal.
You’ll smash it! Thanks for sharing all the ups and downs, I think every runner can relate.
You're really inspiring me - I love the pure honesty in your videos - you're showing the tough parts, and the great parts both. Have a great time at the marathon - hope you hit your A goal, and enjoy it as well!
You are sooooo awesome Sarah! Such an inspiration to me. I'm running a marathon this Sunday and I keep reminding myself that it's hard but how proud I and my kids will be when I get over the finish line😊
Loving the content Sarah and you smashed that run! I am currently training for London as well and I can't wait for the event. All the hard work training for this event and it's nearly here. I have every faith that you will conquer your goal! Good luck.
Ahh soo inspirational!!! 😍✨ I am running my first half-marathon tomorrow and I needed a video just like this.
Sarah you CAN do it!!!! Absolutely smashing it as always!
You've got this Sarah! Your videos are super inspiring, really appreciate you sharing the full journey - including the ups and downs! Go smash it!
Good effort, I can relate to how that moment of doubt feels, it's always great seeing that others go through the same struggles and come out stronger. Thanks
Amazing effort so inspirational!
This was so inspiring to watch Sarah! You've motivated me to get out the door later. I'm coming back from injury so it's scary to ease back in but this has given me a big nudge 🎉 thanks 😊
Amazing job Sarah! I love how you let us see the mentally challenging parts. I can totally relate and you inspire me to keep pushing. You're going to smash it!
Really inspirational - well done and good luck.
You are killing it. You are keeping me motivated for my training. Thank you, and everyone at The Running Channel for all that you do.
Really honest video and you’re not alone with struggles on long runs! Good luck for next weekend!
Love this! So important to see the highs and the lows!
So awesome to see you powering through this marathon block! I started watching the running channel when your running journey was just starting, and it is so inspiring to see you crushing those big dreams and goals.
Well done! And super good luck for london. Thank you for also showing the vulnerability which most runners go through during a training block, its noce to know we aren't alone when this happens!
Great Running Sarah, I love watching these videos, it keeps me motivated, especially now as I have recently become injured and have had to take some time off, but watching these videos keeps my spirits high, as if I am in the moment with you, running myself (you don’t realise how much you crave running, until you can’t do it). I was in the process of training for my 8th half marathon at 16 years old (I completed my first at 12), so hopefully I heal quickly as I am either aiming for a PB (which is currently 1:36) or a sub 1:30. I love your dedication to this hard training plan in order to achieve your marathon PB goal, keep up the awesome work, you are such an inspiration!
This Channel really motivated me during my first marathon prep which was at Brighton. Wishing you all the best for London and a hopeful PB!
Good luck on your race. This channel helped me get back into marathon training. Finishing is amazing and anything sub-4 is a gift. You've got this!
I absolutely love all your videos, currently training for my 1st marathon and your videos always motivate me❤
You've got this! Your videos really motivate me to reach my running goals 😊
Well done Sarah! You are so inspiring and have helped me love running again. You will smash the marathon
Always some gem to take away from you, and your honesty is refreshing...thank you.
Wow Sarah, you are a true inspiration. I love seeing the ups and downs of your training sessions and I hope the marathon is everything you hope for and more!
I love how time after time you show the challenges, when things get hard or things go wrong. Powerful stuff and so motivating!
Inspirational, and timed nicely with my current marathon training. Thank you!
You’ve got this Sarah!! Thank you for showing the lows as well as the highs during training - watching how you overcome them is so inspiring☺️🤩
Amazing Sarah!! Such determination to be able to start up again and complete this really tough run. You have so got this!! Can’t wait to see you blitz the London Marathon!
Amazing sarah! This channel is so motivating. Took up running in January and ran my first half marathon a couple of weeks ago. Aiming for a marathon in Manchester next year. Good luck for London! You will smash it
You've got this Sarah! TRC continue to keep me going through coming back from injury, cant thank you all enough for the laughs during the podcasts it really keeps me going during though runs x
Thank you for being so vulnerable on camera ❤It really is this tough, but thats what training is for
Great video, it shows the challenges of the long runs and I totally relate to the 'long run anxiety.' also finding a place to do those longer runs can be a challenge. Well done - I am looking forward to seeing you run brilliantly on Sunday!
So inspiring!! Love your content, have signed up for my first marathon and loving all the videos for motivation, can't wait to watch you smash London! (Would love the kit and runna subscription!)
You've got this, Sarah! Watching this video was eye opening to just how important training is! I have a half marathon to do this weekend for my half marathon race plan but 10km of it is at my race pace which I have never done before! Watching this has really spurred me on so thank you!
🎉 Excited to watch you break your PB! You're such a beautiful person!
That was such an inspiring workout!!!! I am loving this marathon prep series and I can't wait to see how the race goes!! Cheering for you from Canada!
I am wishing you so much luck for this marathon Sarah. You are such an inspiration to watch. You deserve the success! Good luck.
You got this Sarah! Been watching since your first marathon in Amsterdam, you've come so far! The runs where we think we can't continue are the ones where we grow the most as runners and people. Rooting for you!
Amazing video. So inspiring and you should feel really proud. You are going to smash London Marathon
You are such an inspiration to me, I'm training for my first half marathon and I've started battling with my mental strenght on long runs. You did great!
have been watching this channel for ages and always inspired. i even started trying the runna app for a 10km pb, so lets see! 2 weeks done, and just started the third. go sarah
It's so amazing that you are both running, but also talking and putting yourself out there. I didn't eat enough during work and bonked on my run afterwards, but was thankful nobody was around. Still so proud of you and I love this channel and content. Running has been the best thing for me even with moments like today.
You're doing brilliantly Sarah! I had this exact run on my plan at the same time - and it's so hard, especially off the back of a high-volume week. You've got his!
Really enjoying this series. It has helped me get over the hump of wanting/needing to train. Good luck! Love the NB kit.
You’re gonna smash it! These vids are inspiring. I’m training for my first marathon in October and I’m ready to head out the door!
I've been a fan of the running channel for a while and sometimes your videos really get me emotional. This was one of it.
It helps me a lot seeing that I'm not the only one who struggles. It helps me getting out of the door and keep doing it.
I'll be cheering for Sarah, far away, but hopefully everything goes extremely well in a few weeks time!
And thank you running channel!!
Great job! You definitely will do better in race day. Also thanks for sharing, this is really great motivation for people like me trying to improve PBs. Keep the momentum in the channel too!
Cheering you on for today, Sarah! You have got this!
You've got this! You've put in the work! Consistency is key. Good luck!
So proud of you, Sarah! Such an inspiration! ❤🎉
You are a long way ahead of my training schedule. Keep it up! I watch your videos to stay motivated!
Great work, well done. Hopefully see you on course!
Sarah! You are amazing! Well done for stopping taking a minute, then starting again. You are such an inspiration and you are going to smash the marathon. Well done!!
Awesome run! When I am feeling tired during an exercise I always tell myself there will always be time to hurt tomorrow, but don't let yourself be disappointed later when you know you could have done better now. That always gives me motivation.
Thank you for sharing your breakdown! Running seems so glamorised lately but it's such a mental battle. Good luck on race day! 💪🏼
