On May 30, 2013, Universal Orlando unveiled Transformers: The Ride 3D to the public for the first time in a soft opening / technical rehearsal. This video offers a complete ride through the attraction, which is heavily reliant on huge 60-foot-tall 3D visuals. As a result, much of this video looks doubled or blurry. It's an experience that must be seen in person to appreciate.

This was my favorite ride. I can't do roller coasters because I feel like I'm dying and can't have fun. I heavily rely on these 4D rides to get my thrills. And the parts I can't handle like falling from a building I just close my eyes for a second to calm down and then get right back to it. This was top for me and then Spider-Man

Christina Rizzo I said the same thing about the roller coasters, until I actually rode them. Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket looks very intimidating at first, as you are going completely vertical at first, but once you've ridden it once, the fear turns into thrill . We literally rode it three times in a row. Same with Hulk.
Christina Rizzo I feel you. It is hard to enjoy roller coasters when you feel like your heart is going to jump out your chest.
duchovny2 Funny that is what my sisters told me when they went on the rocking roller coaster.
I think Transformers edges out Spider-Man just by a bit.. The action is way more steady in Transformers.. Both fantastic rides...
This ride is fantastic. When Starscream drags you through the building, it's awesome. This and Skull Island are equally my favorite rides at the park. 10 out of 10.

Impossible to appreciate just how great this ride is with only seeing 2D on these, to see it, and FEEL it is something else!!
Watching this video makes me want to go back to universal I Loved this ride it was so good and cool!

allan avalos Michael Bay wrote the storyline of this ride. ROTF had EPIC battles but very uneccessary scenes like Devastator's scrotum.

I was fortunate to ride this with no line, and then ride it a second time! This is definitely the ride that makes Universal worth going to!

***** I've ridden this dozens of times and still love it. The ride is so smooth you don't even realize that it takes place on two different floors of the building. The ride vehicles take an elevator during the ride.

Inkfingers7 yea I was scared at first but my mom said that we might never go on it again so I went on and I liked this ride over all the other rides I rode combined after that I wanted to go on it again it was awesome 😎
I just came back from the Universal Studios. I rode that ride 3 times lol. It was awesome

My son and I just got back from a visit to Universal Studios. Transformers is the ultimate 3-D experience. We rode it 4 times!!!
This was the best ride at Universal in my opinion!!!! The wait was excruciating but worth it!!!!

My gosh, I still remember most of the quotes. They’re just SO GOOD (especially since they got Peter Cullen back as Prime and Frank Welker as my main maniac Megatron):

Jack Mcchlery Correction....only the first one was good in my opinion. But the only problem with the sequels are the lack of actual continuity. Or rather...lack of decent explanations. So that's about it. Enjoy your little Transformers films for all I care. Me?!?! I'm officially done with them.

Think about it....Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet, Arcee, Chromia, Elita-One, Ironhide, Que/Wheeljack, Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave, Laserbeak, Devastator, Mudflap, Skids, Jolt, Barricade, Brawl, Blackout, Bonecrusher and Sentinel Prime all have something in common....they were all mostly fan-favorite characters in the G1 series and most of them got the axe in the 1986 film, just so Hasbro can sell the new toys for kids at that time. And now, the irony of it all is that in the Michael Bay films, they're not only killing off fan-favorite Transformers, but they're literally killing off least-fan-favorite Transformers on and off-screen. So that would mean that.....Oh my GOD!!!!! O_O THE DINOBOTS ARE NEXT!!!!!!!! ALONG WITH HOUND, DRIFT, AND/OR CROSSHAIRS!!!! THEY'RE NEXT!!!!!! AND WE GOTTA STOP IT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!

This is indeed the same ride as Spider-Man but with Transformers. I've rode both, and the differences are minor. I thought Transformers had a faster pace to it though.
To be fair, this attraction was originally made for Universal Hollywood and Singapore where there is no Spider-Man ride. Bringing it to Orlando seems repetitive, even if it isn't in the same exact park. I like the ride, but I would've preferred a unique experience in its place.

I love how this version has an actual life-sized replica of Optimus Prime, while the LA version only has a painting of him

I went on this ride yesterday it was so fun
I remember I went on this ride, then I was so scared because it felt so real. When that glass break, felt real. I took off my glasses then hugged my cousin. She was like "Hey, put on your glasses!" I was so scared that I couldn't even look at it. But it's 3D so it's not real.

Tried to ride this twice but the first time the wait was 90 minutes and today it broke down. This type of ride is definitely the future of rides, thus Harry potter and Simpsons are the modern day back the the future ride(which I miss). Unreal rides!
This would be a dream come true if I could go there and ride this. It looks awesome. It would mean so much to me if I could before I pass away from cancer.

the ride malfunctioned three times in a row while i was there, it was kinda scary being in the dark for a while then evaluated down back to where you exit the ride. so now i'm watching the pov to see what i missed.

As a resident, I dont tend to go to universal but im going to hallowen horror nights on Sunday and plan to go on this ride. I canr help to think it reminds me of Spiderman but I hope im wrong.
My daughter and I were there last week. Two days in a row, we stood on line for over 30 minutes only to be told that it would be shut down until further notice. I couldn't agree with you more about the express passes. They shoulda/coulda offered them. They came around and handed out bags of Jelly Belly's, so we got a lil something for the inconvenience, lol. We did end up riding it 3 times before we left though. It was great! A bit much like Spider-Man.
I didn't want to watch it so it won't ruin my experience if I attend the ride but the enthusiasm is too much, had to watch...looks amazing.

I went on this ride yesterday. It was very much worth the 50-minute wait, I love the ride, despite the fact that it's from the Michael Bay crap era. I'd definitely recommend the ride to any TF fans across the globe.

pretty much yeah :) but it seems to have better lighting, and seems to blend the screen with the actual surroundings better than spiderman

They demolished the Shrek Meet and Greet and the Xena theater and built this on top of it. Its multiple stories tall and they really utilized the space well.
Ashley asked if they had replaced an old ride with this and I said the building that used to be there had been vacant for a decade. I never said the building housing "Transformers 3D" wasn't new. I figured people would be able to figure out that the building they tore down to replace it was what I meant when I used the term "the building that used to be there"

Not really. The building that used to be on the spot where this ride is was originally the "Murder She Wrote mystery theater" and later became "Hercules and Xena: Wizards of the Screen" but the building had been vacant for over a decade
This was my first ride i got on in Universal
and I was the first one to get in Line so I didn't have to wait XD

This ride is legit a transformers version of DINOSAUR! at Disney World Animal Kingdom. Built with almost the exact same track and movement.
THATS SO FUN IWISH ICOULD BE THERE BUT IM FROM ALGERIA SoO LIKE YEAH........... SHAME IS IN IT.
The only thing I wish they done was decorate the vehicles different so they wouldn't look like the spider-man ride ones, but still I'm so exicted to ride this!! :)
