    Your lessons are always so timely and much appreciated Jamie! I’m so ready to move into more improv and would love to add more licks but also to be able to play more intuitively and jam along with other musicians one day rather than just to backing tracks!
    You’re the best Jamie! 💗

    👍👍 Pentatonic based on 5 tones, 1 2 3 5 6 Major, 1 b3 4 5 b7 minor, have to get the rest, (hope i got this sample right) . This is great! Go Jamie! Go! 🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷. Im getting it and it changes the whole sound for jazz and blues. 🎷🤓

    You were absolutely correct when characterizing your saxophone lessons as "awesome". Indeed they are! Thank you so very much for making your knowledge available on this platform.
    Isn't the biggest difference between a bass clarinet reed and a tenor sax reed, the length?

    • @GetYourSaxTogether
      @GetYourSaxTogether  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Actually my bass cl reeds are the same length as tenor reeds.

    Those were cool blues licks! Could you do a video on more jazzy licks? Those sounded more of a funky groove...

    Great lesson, Jamie. Thanks. I often use tenor reeds on my bass clarinet. Not sure if anyone can tell but I like the way they play!

    Hello Jamie, Many thanks for the videap :) i am playing tenor sax in a small band, we are playing "Soul Shadows" . Can i apply these licks in my sax solo? Do you think these licks will fit in properly ?

    I did hear a difference and was wondering, then you said it. 😅 we used alto clarinet reeds on alto to change the harmonics, gives a little brighter sound. Now I used to play in a salsa/merengue band in college so I picked up a tenor to double on. The group I'm playing with now is well suited to thr tenor sound. I have one piece I absolutely love, a Sugal Suoer Gonz 8 original bought from Gary himself when he started selling them them back when. I wonder what you are playing on because it sounds like it may be a little more open like maybe a 9 or possibly 10 facing.spunds great. Please share.
