Wonderful renditions of this late French repertoire!! The wacky, totally non-serious "Cannonade", really dishing it out, with sparking & thunder - d'Hericourt, serious and dark (the french pitch and unequal temperaments coming to their effect!) - and, the Lugeac - a sprightly, Italian 'Giga' all in its right. All quite a far cry from earlier French clavecinistes, leaving the typical marks of i.e., inégale, other quirks & harmonic structures more and more behind - although we can sense elements, still in the slow piece. A truly live (!!) performance indeed!!!
I am sitting on a terrace, enjoying midnight summer drink, as well as this wonderful rendition of Balbastre’s music with really beautiful sound of harpsichord. Thank you, Yuko and thank you, Professor!
A charming sequence of works as always, dear Yuko, from the delightfully "trashy" Cannonade, through to the very retrospective and Couperinian La d'Hericourt to the sequential yet stirring Gigue of La Lugéac - Bravo! xx
Great performance! Great repertoire! One quibble. In the Cannonade, the large left hand chord starting in measure 26 should be played only once per measure as it represents the canon going off! 😊
I don't know well the French barock composers... But I could enjoy this light pieces, you are great performer again! It's good to hear that you very familiar with different styles. Congrats, Yuko!
Wonderful Yuko Inoue!! Did you live in Brasil, RJ, many years ago? I answer you because I had a piano's student with the same name of yours. She had 9 years old and lived in Laranjeiras.
La D'héricourt is one of the best songs written for the instrument I think.
*piece/work. A song is a certain type of vocal music. "song" never applies to instrumental music
Love Balbastre! Excellent playing!
どうもありがとうございます。異体同心…harpsichord and artist

Nothing like the French in the bottom half of the instrument's compass. D'Hericourt is a lovely piece.
低音の連打が面白いですね。これが砲火なんでしょうね。
しかし聞けば聞くほどチェンバロの音色は素敵ですね。
Amazing!!! Rocking on the harpsichord!

Beautifully performed Yuko. I always thought the canonnade was an organ piece.
Canonnade 0:10
La d'hericourt 3:38
La Lugeac 7:10
Thanks for playing this, i was looking for hericourt as my teacher gave this to me for piano🙏🏻
