Hey Haiying, the hole in your tea pot is designed to make pouring liquid out of the pot smoother. Imagine your pot without that hole. Before you begin pouring, there is some liquid and some air in the pot. When you begin pouring, there is liquid leaving the pot through the spout, but no air is able to enter the pot to replace it. This creates vacuum pressure inside the container and you get that 'glug glug' effect where the liquid comes out in spurts. So, the hole lets air flow in to replace the water as your pour, and this allows it to flow smoothly.
I love milk in my coffee and tea and when I wake up and make my tea or coffee and then open the fridge to find that someone used all the milk and I have no milk I am so sad!
i wonder if the handle is plastic, so the pot can go in the dishwasher. (for metal pots i accept not to put them in the machine, but for glass ones, i like them totally clean.)
