A regular cheap soldering Iron uses "induction" to heat the soldering Iron tip. This one primarily heats the paperclip through high current via a transformer. Induction happens in the coils of the transformer, but the soldering iron tip (i.e. the paper clip) heats not via induction but through high current. None the less, impressive build. I enjoyed watching it.
That's what I was about to say as well. Induction happens in the circuit prior to the tip, but the tip heats because of resistance to the current produced by the circuit. The soldering is done via thermal transfer and not induction, which induces current via magnetic flux lines expanding and collapsing at frequencies that rapidly move the molecules of ferrous metals. So it's a big stretch to call it an induction soldering iron, but a cool project nonetheless.
Induction soldering iron can induce heavy current in shorted inductors inside circuit, so be careful using this type of irons. Rest the iron is very good...

Хорошо придумал, надо индикатор и подсветку добавить
Херня, нафига в паялнике столько электроники, обычный дроссель из дедовского телека и 3 витка вторички 5 мм. Готово!
johny nevskiy дроссель будет тяжелее на много.

Nice. Now learn how to use it the right way.
American Tech
Wow ASIAN TECH, you put a video about building an induction soldering iron.
WHERE IS IT? All you built is a soldering iron with no induction.
So how about making videos that are not bullshit from now on. This video without a schematic is lacking and not induction.
Do you even know what Induction is???
Show some integrity.
Good!
Hay lam ban oi 😘😘😘
При помощи одной размазывалки припоя получилась новая размазывалка припоя :))))
wow! fancy construction. I love it.
cheers from Indonesia

This is a conventional soldering iron powered by a high current transformer. Nice built, by the way!
But it is not an induction soldering iron. The heat is not created by induction in a workpiece, but using the resistance heating in the paperclip wire.
The video but the cat shows off knowledge but it is not stingy that all the series are opened. This video is like a useful TDK.
Merci bien bon travail une fera soudée
