best hybrid out there - nothing wrong with a atom processor, since it´s the only way to built a fanless system - sure not a gaming laptop/tablet, fits for me, downloading, surfing, youtubing, fast and fluid.
Bought one of these to compliment my i7 beast of a desktop, and is great for the most part. It is top heavy, but if you have your hands on the keyboard when your touching it, it won't just fall over. It's not heavy enough to fall over by itself. The only thing I don't like is the screen isn't smooth like other touch screens I've come across. It's annoying.
I got mine a few days ago and like it so far...im on it right now...but it seems to have sound issues. Sound with my headphones plugged into the tablet seem fine but when i'm plugged into my keyboard it sounds half as loud.
Because to find anything you have to go to the silly new home page interface and finding stuff is hard, also when you open something it runs in the background so everything gets backed up an slows down the computer - so i got the new iMac and i love it :)
Its got the same specs as the iPad 2 including resolution just in a smaller body. I'm sorry I've bought Apple products exclusively, but decided to switch things up with a Nexus 7. Just my opinion tho.
The alternative is to go for a cheap laptop and an Android tablet, but you haven't taken into account that you have to purchase separate apps for each device/system? The other downside is you'll have to charge two devices, as well as carry two devices.
ehh... I'm still not convinced that laptop/tablet hybrids are the future. Either that, or just know one has done it right yet and it's just a matter of time.
take out the keyboard slash the price to 500 or 450 and then u have full windows 8 tab not rt without big exhaust fans u get with corei 3 or core i 5 processor tablet then i can consider it as compare to ipad and galaxy tab
am i the only person who thinks the keyboard of this thing is exact copy of MBA 11.6". Even the size and layout of the keys (i.e., layout of arrow keys and all)...
It wont. Microsoft made a step in the right direction. Its Windows division raised its profits by 25% thanks to Windows 8 and the Surface. And we also what happened to Apple...
You can compare Atom Based Hybrid tablet to a Core i. They are differant family and appeal different market. I have an Acer Iconia 10" hybrid with keyboard for only $550. It does everyday productivity (Office, photoshop, hd Videos, web) perfectly with no hick ups. I use it on my cardio machine cause 10" is small enough. 11" like this HP is not as portable. This new Atom CPU can even handle my DJ software Virtual DJ mising not just audio but music videos!! Core i tablets are just over priced.
I don't know how HP manages to stay alive. All HP laptops are like little freaking overpriced ovens. The only thing HP laptops are good for is to fry eggs, or your fingers.
but why would u want to carry both of them when u can just carry this which has the functionality of both... lol.. thats just stupid... i only wish that this is an I5 or i7 processor..
ok, a "full x86 pc" with 2gb of RAM and a intel atom processor? 800 bucks??? you can get a laptop with a core i5 with lot of storage and good tablet with that money. Maybe it's only me, but i'll pass on this one (and I like HP).
You call functionality of both to a Atom based "laptop"?? and you think pay 800 for a detachable screen is no stupid?? man you can get a quad core Samsung tablet for half of the money. Also if you are carrying that thing is like carrying a net book not a tablet. The truth is this is just a expensive netbook with a detachable screen.
No because it has an atom processor which is best for basic browsing and word processing and normal non resource heavy tasks

I'm wondering whether I should get this or a ipad and a hp laptop

I like a attachable keyboard more than a yoga or case keyboard. They just need to boost the specs

How much space does it have
How about the processor ?
Windows 8 made me switch to Mac. Much happier now, should have made the switch years ago!!
We can download red alert 2,robocraft and minecraft on this?
If i like games, should i buy this one or the yoga laptop
is my LG envy compatible with this?
does it can run low requirement games like wow 3.3.5 or something ?
could you play league of legands on it???? even if i played with all the in game settings on low quality???

It is top-heavy and it easily falls over, so by design the back sticks out which made it look very awkward. This is an epic fail
Where is the speaker tho?
What are the price in 2013
correction...you can not compare Atom Based Hybrid tablet to a Core i
and the slate pro is a Core i for the same price
It's can work with Mouse???

Tiene windows 8 ?
Can this run itunes?
this is your opinion, many people love ipad mini and many people hate it ... i think it's a nice device, maybe a little bit expensive but very good.
Can you install itunes ?
Rt or pro?
ehh... I'm still not convinced that laptop/tablet hybrids are the future. Either that, or just know one has done it right yet and it's just a matter of time.

hii whr can i get a charger of dis
Does this have android?
I'm going to try to find one on August 7th
It's an awesome laptop. Just saw it in a store today

At least this not running the watered down version of Windows.
yeah then you are carrying around two devices when you could be carrying one
I'm going for it....... And a nice overview
It wont. Microsoft made a step in the right direction. Its Windows division raised its profits by 25% thanks to Windows 8 and the Surface. And we also what happened to Apple...
how much this laptop
It says it in the video listen better
i don't. i wasn't born yet at that time
Newer atoms on win8 were not as bad as i remember atoms
WTF do any of these new laptops and tablets come with screen protectors. All those finger smudges
looks good, SDD space is way too low for a windows machine, come on! its not an ipad!
But its a damn Atom processor...im worry about that
There is a micro-SD port in the tablet itself buddy- you said there are no ports in the tablet, which is a lie.
Just buy Lenovo's ideapad, it's a little bit more expensive but it's an functional computer!
It's not good for gaming. I've tried some not so demanding games, and it lags a bit sometimes, with higher demanding games it lagged a whole lot more.
Looks like a MacBook but still is pretty cool
u hav it rite thats wy your being optimistic
he is 45 now i just have to teach him windows 8... he is a fast learner so it wont be to hard
Could you play onlne games on it
what happen?
you guys should get a room
This would be nice for my dad in his birthday in a few months.... Does any one agree please let me know

I love Scott Stein :)
I don't know how HP manages to stay alive. All HP laptops are like little freaking overpriced ovens. The only thing HP laptops are good for is to fry eggs, or your fingers.
Scott Stein is an isheep/ifag/iwhore/apple fanboy
looks like a macbook air. time to sue
can't wait til they go down to $99 like their WebOS tablet lol
but why would u want to carry both of them when u can just carry this which has the functionality of both... lol.. thats just stupid... i only wish that this is an I5 or i7 processor..
macbook airs are only $800 now, this is a rip off
you lost me at atom processor
2gb of Ram n a Atom Processor. Maybe at $300
id love to know that too.
I'm not envy to this envy
Yeah don't switch to HP if you're wanting better customer service.
If you call Sony's support awful then expect worse from HP, i have experienced both and HP is horrible.
32 people are envy
good question...
I see all of those types of (Two in One) tablet& Laptop got ATOM WHICH IS BULLSHIT!
no i think
with 800 i buy a 10" galaxy tab and a 15 inch laptop, nice try HP.
This makes me hungry
Lots of annoying pauses, as if he's constantly being distracted.

coz "We make it matter."
Beautiful
Asus X202E (550$) + Ipad Mini (330$) much better deal ;)
Why does Cnet have to compare EVERYTHING to apple products. They are good products but not the best at every single spec.
MY NANA BOUGHT ME THIS!
Very awesome channel...Cheers!!!
S2 is awsome broksi
Is this the future? Haha, nice one..
