I agree wholeheartedly. I have seen way too many cata 30 players with a hyp and 20 skill average. Their entire net worth is literally made up of the Hyperion. Skill av. 40+ gang where you at. edit: this was a call for my fellow skill av 40+ gang, not a call to flex your profile ;-;
I played tank since the start and after around week 3 I was able to do floor 4 in my full super heavy set, and this is when I got enough networth to start taking my time and get that full Necro Lord set that I needed to get my own f7 comp and have plenty fun grinding talismans and not needing to even really care about my damage anymore because tank is the easiest class to start out as, even back 7 months ago when I started.
What I've done which I somewhat regrets is I rushed money to get a necron blade and 2 sets of wither armour for tank hybrid mage aswell as pets etc but after I've done this I've realised how much I've rushed my account so I've recently just been trying to round out my account with skills and spending millions on my accessory bag and minions for collection and doing this make my account look alot more rounded so it makes a big improvement to my stats. This video was a big eye opener for me so iam grateful. Sincerely thank you.

That's why I do experiments 2 times per day because im too broke to do more, farm sugar cane for farming level and buy talis with coins, and tried to forage and fish, but got burned out

I have lost my main profile and in one and a half weeks I progressed more than the average player can progress in 2 month a lot of that probably comes down to watching channels like this so keep up the great work gab and I also have a lot of experience because I started playing when the game started
I think the only time you should get carries is on f1 for mages cuz why start with a stupid and expensive frozen scythe when instead you can start with a bonzo staff
I would rank it on par with my "Secret to making coins in Hypixel Skyblock" video. Very similar concepts and in a nutshell, teaches people that they actually have to play the game properly and not just rush things for coins.
5:38 Correction: your base stats are not boosted by your catacombs level. I have no idea where you got that info from. Without armor or pets, I have 1295 health outside dungeons, and that same amount of health inside dungeons. Catacombs level ONLY affects dungeon equipment, and nothing else.
On my original profile I rushed progression and could only deal 14k damage with a aotd and strong dragon armor, on my new one I took my time and with the same gear can do 38k
to add on, some ppl that i carry (i do f6 carries) how I do so much damage with a juju. This video kinda shows the importance of skills and talis and all those important things
@@SupernovaC Definitely man, I get asked this all the time as well. People just don't understand how crucial every other aspect of the game really is to a profile. Dungeons isn't everything...
@@ModernSoldier I guess thats the state of early game nowadays. I honestly couldve done more before going into dungeons, but now ppl are starting wayyy too early on :/
Lately i've been focusing on my skills a bit ( i was combat 27 with an sa of 25 ) and let me tell you, it is the most important thing you should do, i just noticed how much leveling your combat level buffs your damage, i went from doing 40/50k with a livid to doing almost 100k with full shadow assassin. And talismans too, i you don't get 55+ talismans and reforge them correctly you won't feel the joy of doing good damage btw im now combat 37 with 33 sa, if it wasn't for foraging i would have been with a sa of 36+ Edit: thanks to leveling up my skills i was able to do t5 revs during aatrox and i just haplen to be lucky and get a warden heart ( 170m lol ), almost doubled my networth. Of it wasn't for me leveling up my skills before aatrox i wouldn't have been able to do t5's
Im skill af 20 and I made a deal with my self I can only upgrade every 10 skill levels a piece of equipment until skill af 30 so when I go for dungeons I do enough damage.
Under 10M if you get full 5 star giant old dragon armour and blue whale pet. You can tank everything from F1-7. You'll do no dammage but survive everything
I had 3/4 sa with skill avg 38 (now necron with sa 40). The game was a lot easier. my mates that had full necron do less damage as they have low skill avg. carries are fine as long as you dont skip half of dungeons. F7 carries are sometimes the only solution as people sometimes repeatedly die and not complete it.
I know I know Early game: Unstable drag with aote Mid game : Superior full Dragon fused aotd Late game: Frozen blaze with blaze pet Shadow fury End game : Necron armour Giant sword or may be dark clay more E drag or G drag 1000 mp Overflux compulsory etccccccc
I have always been of the opinion that if I want something I should just grind for it. Whether that be a recipe or an enemy drop, and no matter how long it takes, I need to get it myself. The reason most of my deep caverns collections are all really far in is because I spent about a week grinding Cobblestone X, Iron, and Redstone because all of this recipes that you get will save you lots and lots of money. The reason I do this is mainly because I’m poor but I digress. The only thing I’ve bought off of the auction house so far is a maxed aote for 480k because someone was giving away 500k coins in the hub that I was in. TLDR: Take your time, experiment with the game, don’t rush things, and have fun :)
Well combat lvl is also a reason. I know someone in full sa and baby yeti that does 59k dmg. But when I had full sa and when I tested there armor I did 78k. All I had was better talismans and better combat level. There were combat 26 and I am combat 45. Combat is one of the stats that makes you do more dmg base on the lvl.
Most people say im dumb for grinding for shadow armor in dungeons but the reality is that i am grinding other things with catacombs like farming like for example i used to have a 12 average before i realized this and now i only play dungeon for combat
what helped me out was: - a higher cata level and skills - more floor 7 related talismans (like wither relic, dungeon talismans, etc), and just talismans in general - definitely a hyperion, if you can't afford that, finding parties is going to be a lot harder. try going tank as archer is too oversaturated and most low-mid level parties (cata 28-34) - need tanks to survive - learning how to do a lot of things exclusive tp floor 7 (cheesing bomb, learning how to do phases - pillars, terminals, etc.) although a lot of people say gear doesn't matter (which is true to an extent), a lot of parties would prefer a cata 32 with a hype over a cata 36 with just a juju or midas staff (very unrealistic circumstance but it's just an exaggerated example). personally, i would say both matter, however profile stats matter more tips: - don't be angry over long floor 7 runs, most of your first runs will probably be above 10 minutes which is fine. i would say 15 minutes or over per run is a clear indicator to take a step back, increase your cata or skills - try to form a friend group around your cata level (usually if you play with people that are substantially better than you, say cata 30 to cata 36, they'll probably kick you anyways, and vice versa). guilds are extremely helpful for this, just try to use party finder to a minimum.
@@newmarketon my cata level is 26, is that bad? my skill average is 30 I'm a berserk my problem is damage, I've never completed a run (except a carry) my gear is necron boots and helmet sa legs zombie knight chestplate fot
f7 parties are hard to find unless you are a hype mage in almost all cases. Archers are needed but there are lots of archers and many people don't want dupe archer. Tank is probably the way to go, or maybe healer. Berserks aren't that helpful on f7 and lots of parties kick them without double checking. So the first thing to do is to change to tank or healer (maybe?) and level it up.
I believe that spending too many hours on a game is not that good. I started sb as soon as it released on june 2019 and untill now i barely have 500 hours of playtime and i tried to progress equally through all sides of the game
Thanks, but I think it's because I am tank. But in all seriousness, finally someone has stated this. I see way to many people with like skill average like 15 and with 3 shadow assassin who got carried. They always have a huge amount of money and a really skewed opinion on the game.
Enderman slayer depends way too much on the gear and t4 is pretty much impossible without atomsplit, warden, and FD armor. It's not about the actual skill.
Enderman slayer is only for people who can buy stuff that will definitely go down in half value , if you have the guts to do that then you will be able to do eman.
@@sewykik5004 dude it was making 27m an hour(not even including the rng drops) if you could do it consistently at the first whole week but the catch was you have to had atom split katana which was 370m at that time it fell to 270 something by the end of the week and its 120m now so if you didnt grind atleast 30ish hours with good kill rate then you wouldve lost money over it , no one was eman 7 at that time so judgement cores werent obtainable its good for money right now since the katana is cheap and the judgement is still 650m but at the time it was a huge huge risk.
That's really is the thing, instead of always asking what to do / buy / get it should be what I/you wanna do ,, rushing things will bore u quickly Try n setting up goals for urself to make things a bit more challenging/fun
Which is why I told people that for all I care, they can disregard everything I've had to say. If it really makes people happy to rush the game and deal weak damage, that's fine by me. As long as they recognise why it happens that's what matters. It's so crucial that you just take your time and do what you find most fun. Figure out what you love about the game and focus the majority of your playtime on it. Skyblock is a game after all, people just need to play it like it is one...
Might wanna take a look at your talismans & reforge choices across all gear. A solid combat pet, whether you have all fairy souls, and any other buff you can get your hands on is important too. Ngl your combat is a little on the weaker side, but that comes with time.
I'm a skill average 17 and I have like 25 talis. I have a fot and 3/4 SA. Know I know what to do which is get atleast skill average like 20-25 and baby yeti.

lol i do more then 70k damage outside dungeons and i have so less playtime that i cant even see it btw this is strong with AOTD for overworld and FoT 5* for dungeons
As a sa non myself I don’t think that the gear is the problem because it’s definitely an upgrade but I think that the problem is thinking that just because you have that gear you will be as good as pros with it, getting the gear will still give you a good upgrade tho so I don’t see any problem with that as long as you aren’t trying to be a top ranking skyblock player when your skill average is garbage. The best way to level up skills and driven in skyblock is to play with friends, wether you know them in real life or not, who cares? It makes it so much more fun to have someone to talk to while you do boring skills like foraging and fishing because it’s less like a chore and more like a conversation
My progression is: Diamond armor with diamond sword - lapis armor with cleaver - 2/4 lapis with obby CP and water hydra using an aote - unstable with aotd - young with aotd - young with fot - 3/4 adaptive with zk cp and fot - full adaptive with fot - 3/4 Sa with super heavy CP (very underrated) and fot - full SA with LD and FOT and Baby Yeti (had been using Griffin up to this point) - bought juju today idk if I'm gonna go archer from here or stay bers
1. Get the skills for bazaar 2. Make some varied mining minions and put compactors in them 3. Get gear like hardened diamond armor and aote (doesn't have to be those exact things) 4. Fairy souls maybe, idk :)
I kinda play like thhat but i rushed shadow assassin so i could get skill avg like 40 and do all of this and it makes it alot easier and i got livid dagger so i can havr 100 cc so i can focas talis on damage instead
The issue is that it just doesn't make things easier, you waste so much money on getting the good gear early, when you could use that money to significantly increase it and THEN buy the cool stuff later on. You'll actually progress quicker if you're smarter with your coins in the beginning, and you'll also have an easier time acquiring them if you have a more well-rounded profile.

This is why i Think iron man is the only true skyblock experience
Also even though I’m broke, because of this play style I have a skill average of 14, which even if that is shit I still am proud of
Prediction: talismans and combat level
plst twist: fishing and farming (hp)
Well combat lvl is also a reason. I know someone in full sa and baby yeti that does 59k dmg. But when I had full sa and when I tested there armor I did 78k. All I had was better talismans and better combat level. There were combat 26 and I am combat 45. Combat is one of the stats that makes you do more dmg base on the lvl.
Most people say im dumb for grinding for shadow armor in dungeons but the reality is that i am grinding other things with catacombs like farming like for example i used to have a 12 average before i realized this and now i only play dungeon for combat
Tank you, I finally am able to explain to my friend why the fact that he has a good armor dosent make him a good player
Modernsoldier: Are you stuck doing
Lmao same
@@squirrels2836 The content is still interesting
can you do a video for how to go from beating f6 to f7?
Literally just cata level and gear
what helped me out was:
- a higher cata level and skills
- more floor 7 related talismans (like wither relic, dungeon talismans, etc), and just talismans in general
- definitely a hyperion, if you can't afford that, finding parties is going to be a lot harder. try going tank as archer is too oversaturated and most low-mid level parties (cata 28-34) - need tanks to survive
- learning how to do a lot of things exclusive tp floor 7 (cheesing bomb, learning how to do phases - pillars, terminals, etc.)
although a lot of people say gear doesn't matter (which is true to an extent), a lot of parties would prefer a cata 32 with a hype over a cata 36 with just a juju or midas staff (very unrealistic circumstance but it's just an exaggerated example). personally, i would say both matter, however profile stats matter more
tips:
- don't be angry over long floor 7 runs, most of your first runs will probably be above 10 minutes which is fine. i would say 15 minutes or over per run is a clear indicator to take a step back, increase your cata or skills
- try to form a friend group around your cata level (usually if you play with people that are substantially better than you, say cata 30 to cata 36, they'll probably kick you anyways, and vice versa). guilds are extremely helpful for this, just try to use party finder to a minimum.
@@newmarketon my cata level is 26, is that bad?
my skill average is 30
I'm a berserk
my problem is damage, I've never completed a run (except a carry)
my gear is necron boots and helmet
sa legs zombie knight chestplate fot
f7 parties are hard to find unless you are a hype mage in almost all cases.
Man this aged well after the new reforge system

Thanks, but I think it's because I am tank. But in all seriousness, finally someone has stated this. I see way to many people with like skill average like 15 and with 3 shadow assassin who got carried. They always have a huge amount of money and a really skewed opinion on the game.
I like grinding more than just buying stuff, that satisfaction of getting something after working for it is something else.
Meanwhile there is me skill avg almost 39 with cata 35(and few runs from cata 36) and i still sucks on enderman slayer
tbf eman slayer is endgame content
Enderman slayer depends way too much on the gear and t4 is pretty much impossible without atomsplit, warden, and FD armor. It's not about the actual skill.
Enderman slayer is only for people who can buy stuff that will definitely go down in half value , if you have the guts to do that then you will be able to do eman.
@@TooHarshForYou wdym lol? all that stuff has settled in price + eman makes a lot of profit
That's really is the thing, instead of always asking what to do / buy / get
it should be what I/you wanna do ,, rushing things will bore u quickly
Try n setting up goals for urself to make things a bit more challenging/fun
Which is why I told people that for all I care, they can disregard everything I've had to say. If it really makes people happy to rush the game and deal weak damage, that's fine by me. As long as they recognise why it happens that's what matters.
It's so crucial that you just take your time and do what you find most fun. Figure out what you love about the game and focus the majority of your playtime on it. Skyblock is a game after all, people just need to play it like it is one...

The issue is that it just doesn't make things easier, you waste so much money on getting the good gear early, when you could use that money to significantly increase it and THEN buy the cool stuff later on. You'll actually progress quicker if you're smarter with your coins in the beginning, and you'll also have an easier time acquiring them if you have a more well-rounded profile.
