    =================================================
    Ian Maksin is a world-renowned cellist, composer, and multilingual vocalist whose artistry transcends traditional boundaries of music and culture. Born in Leningrad, former USSR, into a multinational family, Ian was immersed in a rich tapestry of traditions from an early age. By age six, he was mastering the cello at the School for Gifted Children, laying the foundation for a career that would redefine the instrument's possibilities. After relocating to the U.S. at 16, Ian continued his studies at the Manhattan School of Music and Duquesne University, excelling in classical performance... Ian’s passion for music, linguistics, and global travel has shaped his unique style, making him a true global musician. Singing in over 30 languages-including Ukrainian, Armenian, French, and Bambara-his repertoire reflects deep connections to diverse cultures. His original compositions blend influences from African, Mongolian, Middle Eastern, and Balkan traditions with jazz, flamenco, and contemporary classical music, creating a genre-defying soundscape... With the innovative use of a loop pedal, Ian transforms his cello into a one-man orchestra, offering audiences an immersive experience of mystical, spiritual depth. His belief that music is a unifying force has fueled his mission to heal and inspire through his art. As Ian says, "Music is one of the most powerful and unifying forces in the world, capable of healing, inspiring, and bringing peace among people."
    Ian Maksin is not just a musician; he is a visionary redefining the role of music in connecting the human spirit.
