Howie, my husband (Amazing Johnathan) hated Murray because he is the biggest thief in magic. Johnathan made fun of him at every event that they were both booked at, he has sent him cease and desist letters for using his material. Murray is the king of stealing other people's bits and then saying it's all been done before so he can't possibly be stealing. Did you know that Murray uploaded the last video of my husband performing in very bad shape, the day after he died, for views? He is a complete and total hack that is not respected by his peers in any way which is why it was so easy to boot him from the castle. He's copying other magicians years late to the game, who were also ousted for doing exactly what he does. He does not deserve to be on your platform. Honey is rolling in his grave right now.

Such a lame child-like argument, playing it down as he does. Who then goes on to admit it's a publicity stunt. He knows exactly what he is doing. Speaking as a street magician I wouldn't trust him with magic as far as one could throw him.

In addition to my previous comment. Everybody's doing what Murray's doing. I guess we just don't expect that out of someone as well known as Murray to let the secrets out. Others are making money by showing the secrets by the number of views of people who don't have to spend the money to watch it. It's simply a different world than the old days of magic and mystery. I guess you could perceive magic as a dying art because so many people don't respect the code of secrecy.

Not how it works. People pay creators of those tricks, that's a solid way for working magicians to get paid. When randoms online give away the secrets that other take the time, effort, money and ingenuity to create - it hurts all magicians / creators.
I wrote him before that it's not OK and that it's poor style. It's good that they banned him for having no respect for magic and attention gathering. Better stay humble and contribute better for the art of magic and people's joy

If anybody should be pissed it should be Amazon because everybody's going to know the trick or the magic. The magicians are like divas they put on such a performance it takes 20 minutes just for one magic trick
This is hilarious..... Magicians take this stuff seriously? Does anyone consider this "magic" for what it is? It's a trick. Surprise!! It's not real magic. Ridiculous that anyone would take it so seriously that they would ban him from a whacky place like The Magic Castle. I recommend that he laugh it off and keep on exposing these simple, anyone-can-do-it "magic" tricks.

In addition to my two previous messages. If someone wants to take their hard-earned money and purchase a piece magical trickery. They then will know the secret of that particular trick. It's a whole world of difference spitting out videos revealing secrets to the masses when it's as simple as a click to view. Ask yourself this...as this ancient art is continued to be revealed, codes of Honor and secrecy are broken. Do you think it will enhance hard-working magicians shows in the future or deteriorate The Wonder to the audience of this performing art?

I support the ban.
Murray went after a cheap publicity hit and some views. He got them, cheers. But, In doing so, he chose to break the magicians' code we all learn on day one. That deserves the ban, and he'll be fine...maybe.

Not only did Murray expose he also ripped off the exact type of videos that others have done to expose. Just look up the two Asian magicians who have been doing this type of format for YEARS. For Murray to play the victim here is really sad to see. We're sure he's LOVING all of the exposure he's getting from turning his back on magicians though..
It's also interesting how he starts doing this now that the place he's been performing at is about to be demolished to make way for the new Vegas A's stadium that is being built.
He isn't copying the Asian magicians, he's copying Rick Lax.

Poor take. One of the FEW ways creators in the magic biz can make money is by investing their ingenuity, time, effort and money into creating effects. When some yahoo publicity hound gives crap away for free, it's bad for everyone in that business.

Magic tricks getting exposed is one of the ways that keep pushing the craft to evolve in new ways, in turn keeping it interesting. Isn't Neill Patrick Harris one of the big wigs there? Boy I would hate to piss him off he seems like he'd go for the jugular when it comes to magic.!.
