Hello Kevin, unfortunately the orchestra is no longer playing. Some would say a "victim of it's own sucess." They had achieved all that was possible in the world of Accordion Competitions, at that time. There was nothing more to accomplish.
Hi Kevin. The orchestra had won just about every contest in Northern Ireland, UK and Europe. Killycoogan was the best Accordion Orchestra in Europe at that time. A victim of our own sucess, because there was nothing to aim for, members got bored and left. Alot of the players are still playing the accordion, piano and other instruement, you would find them popping up all over Northern Ireland.
Remember this band well. Are they still around?
