As a student living abroad myself, I'd highly recommend working on-campus since first of all this is what is legal. Working off-campus is considered illegal and pays really low as the employer knows that as well. Secondly, working on-campus gives you ways to navigate opportunities on-campus like TAships & RAships with professors and different labs etc. Opportunities like these lead you to long-term employment, and networking and even get you ways to fund your complete tuition fees.

I would like to say that skills based education is not as bad. Here in North America, there is an acute shortage of skills based labour. People do get paid really well based on skills like welding, carpentry, masonry, gas technician etc.

You still have to pay for course fees, technology fees etc. But those are usually around $1000 per semester (at least in the Midwest region). You have to manage your living costs but with the stipend, it is manageable. I am about to finish my PhD and have been both RA and TA and lived comfortably in terms of finances. Just like this person, I also helped new Pakistanis a lot but in some cases, they tend to use you so much, draining your energy plus disrespecting you. But I will say that many Pakistani families in town helped me a lot. They would make so much food for me, give me rides etc. plus guided me a lot.

My answer to third questions is that bro please never left your studies back I used to think the same that digree is bakwas and this and that but once I start my FSC part 1 with good teacher my whole world's just changed I realized that I am good at video editing and these kind of stuff but I never feel happy doing that but after starting my studies I become facinat with biology and the way nature works and my future plans are to do biotechnology abroad and to research more on genetics and these kind of stuff so moral of the story is that start studying lots of new ways and opportunities will be open for you

I would like to say that skills based education is not as bad. Here in North America, there is an acute shortage of skills based labour. People do get paid really well based on skills like welding, carpentry, masonry, gas technician etc.

@41:21 Salaam, for problem number 4, many students don't realize that in USA for graduate degrees (PhD and Master's), there are options of Graduate Assistantships, which includes both Teaching assistantships and Research assistantships. These are more common for PhD than for Masters. But I had Grad assistantship in both my MA and PhD.
They usually give full tuition waiver plus a monthly stipend. You still have to pay for course fees, technology fees etc. But those are usually around $1000 per semester (at least in the Midwest region). You have to manage your living costs but with the stipend, it is manageable. I am about to finish my PhD and have been both RA and TA and lived comfortably in terms of finances.
Just like this person, I also helped new Pakistanis a lot but in some cases, they tend to use you so much, draining your energy plus disrespecting you. But I will say that many Pakistani families in town helped me a lot. They would make so much food for me, give me rides etc. plus guided me a lot.
