I love that Ben asked her and then didnt press her to move in with him - he totally respected her decision and put her happiness first - What she needs right now is to feel close to her mum. I can't imagine she will feel the same way forever but I guess we wait and see.

Sad scene. But in this scene I see the machinations of the plot. It's good that they brought it up because I always thought it was strange that no one had questioned or talked about where Lexi is going to live.
I foresee Lexi moving in with ben and Callum soon. She feels the connection to her mom now but once she finds out her dad is ill I see her wanting to be close to him. (Also it’s not Lexi choosing jay, it’s the connection to her mom she’s choosing)
I think she'll stay where she is, she knows bens never been there fully for her, shes seen in time and time again so she wants to be where she is close to what made her feel safe. Also bens ED is NOT on lexi to fix, you never ever put that on a child

I also think that right now she has this attachment to that place because of her mom’s memories but she want to be closer to her dad eventually. She will see everyone moving on. Jay will move on, billy will focus on his kids, etc. that’s life. It’s not about her dad not being there for a couple things that’s still the closest person to her. She will always be his number one priority.
@@calssuittie again Ben is not his child’s responsibility and guilting her is not healthy for her. It’s also not fair to her to ask her to move out of her home just because he finally wants to be there

She just wants to feel closer to her mom which eventually she’s going to start moving on just like everybody else. I don’t think you understand how life works. He respected her decision but asked bc it’s his daughter which he has the right to ask. He’s not pressuring her to move out at all. I’m saying that eventually Lexi will make that decision because at the end of the day that still her dad. I’m glad with Ben’s progress this episode. He’s been incredibly supportive and caring of Lexi and Jay and very respecting and understanding of her decision even though it makes him sad. He’s opened up to Callum about why he needs to sell the arches and been honest that he doesn’t want to do it but paying off his debts is more important. And what’s more he’s completely swallowed his pride about the fact that Keanu will take over the arches and instead has put Lexi and his family first and bitten the bullet and done it. I’m curious as to what he’ll do for work going forward. He’s a really good mechanic so I wonder if he’ll put his differences aside and work for Keanu? As Callum pointed out he will need a job. Perhaps he’ll work at the car lot again? Just sad watching his ED storyline get worse. But Callum is definitely picking up on his changing eating habits so hopefully it won’t be long before Callum catches on to Ben’s bulimia.😢 Heartbreaking to think that Max Bowden has first hand experience with bulimia (which he said at the soap awards) so this must be such a difficult storyline for him to perform especially after Lola’s brain tumour storyline (to which he actually lost a close friend under the same circumstances 😢💔)
The fact that ya'll are not seeing that this is the beginning of a rift between Ben and Lexi is laughable. He betrayed her by not being there in the final hours of Lola's life - she may have forgiven him, but I doubt she will forget it considering her character, and considering Ben's track record. Having Jay take PR as well a month ago is another set up of her choosing Jay over Ben because recently Jay has been the stable support.
