That is crazy drops, I've been a huge lover of Diablo 2 for around 15 years and honestly started playing again recently and only just found my first ever high rune (Lo rune) from a random monster in Countess's tower. I hope you and all of the other D2 content creators keep up the amazing work and help others that lost the love of the game get back into it. Definitely getting my thumbs up and sub!

I've done over 2k lower kurast runs and the highest rune I've found is Lum, on players 8. I've found like 7 Lum, 1 Lem and everything else has been trash. It actually makes me furious seeing this guy get 3 sur, 2 ohm, 2 Lo, 3 vex, a Gul and several Mal/Pul in 2000 runs and I have found literally nothing

DB, this is one of your very best videos, and one that never fails to inspire me to load up D2 and do some LK runs. Really well done video and showcases perfectly the power of LK. DUDE! Inspired by your video i started also some LK Runs and found my very first Ber after ~15Minutes!!!! After 17 years in D2 LoD i finally can build my first enigma!
Ber is the highest. You can also find Sur, which are much more common, and can also be transmuted into Ber. Just make sure you hold onto a few of the 10 million flawless amethysts that will be popping out them chests, and you are good to go.
I'm really curious to see you do a video comparing players 1 vs players eight over a 1000 runs each of something. It would really inform us bnet players about what we're missing.
I am currently lucky with my map. I got the two groups of huts right next to each other. If I am in the right hut with the chest and the weapon rack, I need to teleport only twice to the right and I am in the long hut with the two chests from the second group. This really helps with the LK runs, which currently take me about 35 seconds each, including the identifying and loading screens. The highest rune I found from the chests so far are two Vex runes though... One was used for HotO, the second I am saving for Exile.

Hey man - just wanted to give you an update. So I'm really enjoying your videos and streams man. Unfortunately I live in Denmark and always miss your streams as it's in the middle of the night for me. Well - I did some lower kurast runs. I actually already had 2 sur runes that I found off off Mephisto ages ago. So I really just needed 1 ber. I didn't count my runs, but this week I've been sick and home from work. 4 days straight running LK gave me 1 sur, 3 ohms, 1 vex and like 4 mals and ists. No ber tho. I finally cubed up my runes and made the Infinity in an eth Thresher from cows. My luck in rolling runewords are terrible tho... I made a hoto that rolled 33res, my CTA came out 1-1-4 (lol) and finally my Infinity was -50res and .... 255ed (lowest). Lol. I hope the future brings me more luck. Sorry for the long comment and thanks for all your hard work man!
inspired from your awesome project, I've started my own personal 10k lk runs project As of today, I count 1.8k runs. Drops include (counting mal runes and upwards only): -3 Mal runes -3 Ist runes -1 Gul rune -1 Sur rune I must say, when compared to your haul within your first 1.8k runs, this looks very meager. I hope that's gonna even out with yours as I approach a higher run count. I'll try to keep this post updated, it'll probably take much longer than your 10k though. Did those 1.8k runs over the course of 2 months.
@@Dbrunski125 Thanks man! Because of excessive clutter on especially higher player settings, I've gone and gotten myself a loot filter. It really shortens time spend on sifting through loot, I highly recommend it. If you dont mind, I've got 4 questions 1) I've noticed from some of your videos that you somehow skip the selection screen and character menu after restarting, is that editing or a mod? 2) I've done my runs on players 3 or 7 so far, as I've read that certain, more desirable runs have better odds then. You've done players 8 though, so are odds better after all? 3) Is there any point in picking up rare rings/amulets along the way? Can they have meaningful stats on that itemlvl? 4) Is there even any point in having a lot of mf? The chests seem are unaffected, right?
I also started same project. Am currently on 2 k runs, on players 7 difficulty. So far i found 1 Ohm, 1 Vex, 4 Guls, 2 Ists, 2 Mals and lots of Puls and Ums.
i started this project 4 month ago and worked on it on and off like 3 or so days a week. definitely didn't just do it over night. glad you liked it man!!!

I love the randomness of D2! Both frustrating and exciting at the same time. I am running LK atm and am probably close to 1000 runs without any rune higher than Fal. LK is still great though, tons of charms etc. Scored a perfect 40 life/1 summing sk for necro. A bunch of mf scs and whatnot. I can feel the HR getting closer though! :) And btw, thanks for your content. Your PlugY-video made me start playing again.
I just had to add this: Today (2 more hours farming since my comment about rng) I found a Mal and a Vex and made a 40 all res Hoto. :) Just keep farming and never give up!
For everyone who is interested. I did 10.000 LK runs as well and I want to share my results: I made the runs on Plugy 1.14d on /players8 with my lvl 94 sorceress (120 fcr) I got a really nice map, with both campfires directly near the wp (first hut was 2 tps away) in a circular order. I am not the fastest, but with collecting the items of interest I was able to finish 10 runs in about 4:50. Here are the runes I got: 28 Lem (5 of these from logs, corpses normal chests) 18 Pul (one from log) 13 Um 3 Mal 8 Ist 14 Gul (one from corpse) 4 Vex 2 Ohm 2 Lo (one from corpse) 6 Sur 0 Ber (sadly) Pretty unlucky with the high runes and a load of Lems and Puls...but thats the way it is. I took a brak after 6000 runs (because i could build my Infinity) and started to go there again to collect the remaining runes for Enigma (found a Ber oof of Pindle and just needed another 4 Surs from LK). Now I'm lacking 1 Sur for Enigma and I will go on running LK till its done. Thx for the inspiration @Debrunski125 and good luck to all of u guys running this. Its realy mind numbing, but in the end I am satisfied.
Watching all this in preparation of D2R coming out, years later, and yeah, seeing just how rare all these runes are is discouraging. Makes me laugh how every character guide says like, "You need 5 rune words to make this build work!"
Yeah a lot of d2 players are 10-20 years older now and D2R is gonna be a rude awakening. The game is gonna be dead in 6 months if there is no botting or duping because 95% of players will be burnt out wondering why they don’t have 5 dupe words on their character yet
Just started doing single player LK runs today. I spent two hours on Players 1 getting nothing higher than Shael. Then I saw Mr LlamaSC's guide and tried on Players 8 instead - after like 4-5 runs a Ber Rune dropped o.O, got it on recording. Given your excellent video, it is clear to me that I must have been very lucky with that ber rune.
Dbrunski, i really like your channel, this video is inspired me to run 3ppl marathon on closed realm. Ive found 2 sur + ber in 3 day, dunno how much runs i did. Btw Ber got dropped while i watched this video :D. And while i typing this doom apes got my sorc killed in a hut. Keep it up. p.s. you should pick magic orbs, pelts, it could be 2dru 3 tornado / 3fire 3fb and such.
If it took him even as little as 10 seconds per run to pop the chests and grab the items, it would take roughly 28 continuous hours to complete 10,000 of them. My guess, it probably took him closer to 20 seconds per run (or more), which would be 46 continuous hours to complete. To put it bluntly, it's stupidly ridiculous for the Dev's of Diablo 2 to expect the average player to have to spend that much time to acquire only a fraction of the best gear in the game, but they didn't design the drop rates for single player, they designed the drop rates for an online economy of MILLIONS of players, which no longer exists.
@DeadlyDanDaMan true, but 20 seconds is a brutally fast run. I am not sure if I was doing sub 25 second runs even with the best map I have ever seen. Probably half the run is entering the game, walking close enough to the waypoint to telekinesis it. Most people would spend a few hours per day running lk
I respect the dedication and patience you have for this......i can only guess that the most important thing here is passion to pull it through. I could never do this....again :) allthough i couldn' t manage to do more then 1000 myself
Hey, amazing project! I did some LK farming recently, too. I can confirm getting mainly Gul and Sur when it comes to High Runes. I really wanted a Lo, but I don't think it's worth it farming LK for that. I also got a Mara's from some random vulture that was in the way, that's some illuminati shit right there. Few things I wanna add: Most important thing about this farm is of course to get a GG map. From what I can figure out from your video is that the one you ran is faaaaar from optimal (doesn't change anything about it's value, you just could have made it faster). The one i have currently has all 4 superchest houses in a circle right next to the waypoint; 2 blinks to hop inbetween all of them. Next thing is that on players 8 the chests drop so much crap that you aren't shown everything. That makes me superanxious. I don't think you shouldn't run players 8, but I'm wondering if there's a solution. Last thing is that it's also a good method to farm gems in all qualities. They're really annoying to pick up and slow down your run, but if you need them, LK might be a good spot to farm.

Hey dude, Having gone a bit deeper into the matter there's another thread I want to bring to your attention in case you don't know it yet: www.diabloii.net/forums/threads/1-13-lk-patterns.764531/page-32#post-8831957 Here you find a gathering of the fixed chest drop patterns considering high runes; so basically more empirical data. I've looked at some of your finds and they actually match the known patterns.
I've just finished at 2,2k runs and got 2x Ber 2x Sur 6x Mal and 1x Ist, not mentioning lower than mal. So I guess you were very unlucky for that ber drop. Oh, and it took mi 19h44mins with an average 32,2 seconds per run.
I don't know but I found a Sur rune from a chest out of those house, actually I've got 2 Sur runes from LW. That place is sick! good job and keep it up :D I love your content.
By the time you got the 4th vex you were beyond loaded compared to general player base. GG. Id like to see a 10k nightmare countess vid. That would be supa.
I got a Eth 5 sox Ettin drop and had all but a Vex to make a Death. So I started farming for it in LK and guess what. It dropped within an hour. I know that I was luckier this time since it took me much less than the Lo, but man I wld have nvr dared farming for it in LK, had I not watched this vid. The game feels totally different after watching this single vid. Thx Dbrunski.
And another Sur rune while checking the whole LK map, right next to another Ko rune in the neighbored chest. Man the drop rate feels much higher than I expected. Or maybe its my luckier period.
Just got my first Pul rune from LK super chests. I just started doing rune farming so it's the highest thats dropped for me other than a Gul from the hellforge. thanks for the guide!
I have had 4 ist drop for me in random places. One was countess hell, another nm a5 but the other two were just random places in hell. But you know after 50 runs of LK I have a sol and a dol!
v1.14 this week i've got 2 Ohms there, on legit battle.net- both from other boxes in the place as i clear the whole area, given that the "super" boxes never give me anything...probably less than 100 runs i'd estimate as i clear about 8 areas per game.
This really works. I found a map with the two bonfires basically right next to the wp. Did LK runs on p8 for the past year nearly every day, maybe 200-300 runs a day while chilling and listening to music. Made so many Enigma and Infinity. Didn’t find many Bers but a lot of Surs which I ultimately combined into Bers and Jahs.
I'm pretty sure there is no Ber rune pattern on p8. I farmed my Enigma on p3. Got a Ber after 100 runs, and the rest was Lo/Sur/Vex runes. Don't remember if Ohm dropped aswell, but i can confirm Ber drops on p3.
I've been running this on an Assassin for the last few days. All I've found is about 12 Ral runes, 2 Ort's and a Nef. I guess what I'm trying to say is, you have the fortitude and patience of a holy man, and I am jealous as hell :D (On the other hand, outside of runes, I found Firelizard's Talons and a Bul-Kathos ring, so who am I to complain?)
@@rudrigodiaz1099 3 hours? He did 10,000 runs. At a pace 1 minute per run, that number of runs would take almost a week of continous grinding. Non-stop.
regentry549 hey man. When i was referring to Lo being the rarest rune it was in relation to the lower kurast chest patterns. On p8. There are 2 Lo patterns out of a total 65 k roughly patterns. While there are 11 sur rune patterns on p8. So your right a sur rune is more rare off of a monster drop. But in reality, when your farming hi runes directly from lower kurast on p8 difficulty. You have a way higher chance of getting a sur rune then a Lo rune. Thats what I was referring to when I said Lo rune is the rarest rune you can find from lk on p8. I prob should have been more specific.
regentry549 LOL yea it is kinda confusing. Gets even more confusing because the run patterns change on players 3 and 5 as well. I think on p5. LO rune has 5 patterns vs 2 on p8 :s
Ok... I just did 1K runs, using Silospen's run counter. took 9 hours and 3 minutes of actual runtime, with an average of just under 30 seconds per run. The highest rune i found was Vex, This was all on P8. I had done approximately 5-600 runs previously without counting and found 2 Bers, 2 Ohms, a Sur and 2 Lo... Sometimes it really is all about that RNG.
Awesome video brunski but I do have a couple major criticisms. With regards to your run efficiency you used a lot of your inventory space on charms even though combat isn't so prominent in lk runs. What I find more efficient is to run a mostly clean inventory and stash/ID stuff as it fills up. I allocate inventory space for just my cube, tomes, anni, torch, sometimes gheeds although very optional, and about 12 stacks of keys (as that leaves a fair bit of room for items to pick up, most notably charms and jewels as they're more common than mid and high runes), and it works out because the keys get used up as I go which makes space for more stuff that I find as I use the keys up. Also for the same reason as the charms, I find BOing to be not a very worthwhile use of time in lk runs. I know you've mentioned that you're not running lk again but this is mostly for anyone who sees the vid so that they know there's ways to run lk that I would argue are more efficient. But again, nice video, I enjoyed it. -Stephen
NostalgiaGamer 7200 yea i honestly just did these runs on and off over 3 months and just never made perfect inventory set up for it. Maybe i should of. Somedays you also end up staring mindlessly at the computer and you slow down lol.
Dbrunki, I recently got back into the game thanks to watching your bot project and MrLLamas speed runs. I'd never played the game on SP because of stashing issues/muling. With PLUGY, I've found much joy in the game. As I grind LK and AT, I find myself wondering what run I'm on. Could you please share your run counter and set up? If it's deeper in your videos, let me know and I'll go dig deeper.

SimplyInspire there are advantages to single player. Like the maps. Your right. Are disadvantages as well tho. Everything has to be self found. If i find something amazing that i dont need. Like multiple tals armors (which i have on this char) i cant trade them for things i need from other players like bnet. This is also a holy grail sorc. I need plugy to store all the items
Your video inspired me to do the same, so here are my result : With a 200fcr sorc, i have an average of roughly 100 runs per hour (i take into account the time needed to identify items, storing stuff into the stash, and cubing up the gems) So basically i assume your 10 000 runs took... 100 hours. Wow, the patience is real. I've done a shitton of lk runs by now, and i've collected : 2 ist runes 1 gul rune 4 vex runes 1 ohm rune 2 lo runes Damn... getting infinity and enigma on single player is a pain in the butt...

Yeah playing single player with plugy just seems pointless, like it makes it easier to have all the stash space and be able to reset your talents and stat points all the time, but at that point it’s more like you’re just playing a simulation of diablo, who’s to say the drops are actually correct and what you’re finding is real. But then it’s just a video game anyways, I guess it doesn’t matter if the drops are real or not.
This inspired me. I was looking to build enigma on SP. After watching this video i started doing LK runs on players 7 with my sorc, guessing it would take ma about 9k runes to get 1 BER and 1 JAH Surprisingly it took me only 1300 runs to get 2 SUR and 2 BER runes :D I feel very lucky Now i can teleport around with my Hammerdin :D And also: i got 1 OHM and 2 VEX on these runs, so could build CTA and HOTO too

I just got a Ber from probably my ONLY-600th-ish?? LK run with my +104% faster run+harmony Amazon (no enigma lol and my sorc/map always die/sucks) Because I never got any runes higher than Mal from the chests I did not expect a freaking Ber to drop before others. Wonder if I'll ever get this lucky and see another Ber drop again in my lifetime

But u said Lo pattern is lesser than Ber right n u got 4 of them! Anyhow this definitely fueled me up my will to do more runs until I can complete my faith(ohm iz ready) or enigma(need another 2 ber for that lol). Gotta on and off between this and grinding monsters for a Windforce instead XD
Update after 1 month++ haha. After like 1.5k LK runs I successfully managed to complete my Fana runewords in a GMB n now able to breeze through p7 pits/AT runs to find that WF, I have doubt it can be any better than this Faith haha., even easier killings after I finally found a Titans Revenge n now running hybrid build. I had no idea that a single lvl 20(29 after all +skills) lightning fury with no synergies at all could be so powerful (in a crowd, that is). Thinking of returning to LK or travincal this time to pair it with an Infinity.. hehe

Ber is the highest. You can also find Sur, which are much more common, and can also be transmuted into Ber. Just make sure you hold onto a few of the 10 million flawless amethysts that will be popping out them chests, and you are good to go.

I can do it twice max.
I am currently lucky with my map. I got the two groups of huts right next to each other. If I am in the right hut with the chest and the weapon rack, I need to teleport only twice to the right and I am in the long hut with the two chests from the second group. This really helps with the LK runs, which currently take me about 35 seconds each, including the identifying and loading screens. The highest rune I found from the chests so far are two Vex runes though... One was used for HotO, the second I am saving for Exile.

Hey man - just wanted to give you an update. So I'm really enjoying your videos and streams man. Unfortunately I live in Denmark and always miss your streams as it's in the middle of the night for me. Well - I did some lower kurast runs. I actually already had 2 sur runes that I found off off Mephisto ages ago. So I really just needed 1 ber. I didn't count my runs, but this week I've been sick and home from work. 4 days straight running LK gave me 1 sur, 3 ohms, 1 vex and like 4 mals and ists. No ber tho. I finally cubed up my runes and made the Infinity in an eth Thresher from cows. My luck in rolling runewords are terrible tho... I made a hoto that rolled 33res, my CTA came out 1-1-4 (lol) and finally my Infinity was -50res and .... 255ed (lowest). Lol. I hope the future brings me more luck.

As of today, I count 1.8k runs. Drops include (counting mal runes and upwards only):
-3 Mal runes
-3 Ist runes
-1 Gul rune
-1 Sur rune
I must say, when compared to your haul within your first 1.8k runs, this looks very meager.
I hope that's gonna even out with yours as I approach a higher run count. I'll try to keep this post updated, it'll probably take much longer than your 10k though. Did those 1.8k runs over the course of 2 months.

Because of excessive clutter on especially higher player settings, I've gone and gotten myself a loot filter. It really shortens time spend on sifting through loot, I highly recommend it.
If you dont mind, I've got 4 questions
1) I've noticed from some of your videos that you somehow skip the selection screen and character menu after restarting, is that editing or a mod?
2) I've done my runs on players 3 or 7 so far, as I've read that certain, more desirable runs have better odds then. You've done players 8 though, so are odds better after all?
3) Is there any point in picking up rare rings/amulets along the way? Can they have meaningful stats on that itemlvl?
4) Is there even any point in having a lot of mf? The chests seem are unaffected, right?
I also started same project. Am currently on 2 k runs, on players 7 difficulty. So far i found 1 Ohm, 1 Vex, 4 Guls, 2 Ists, 2 Mals and lots of Puls and Ums.

I love the randomness of D2! Both frustrating and exciting at the same time. I am running LK atm and am probably close to 1000 runs without any rune higher than Fal.
LK is still great though, tons of charms etc. Scored a perfect 40 life/1 summing sk for necro. A bunch of mf scs and whatnot.
I can feel the HR getting closer though! :)

I just had to add this: Today (2 more hours farming since my comment about rng) I found a Mal and a Vex and made a 40 all res Hoto. :)

For everyone who is interested. I did 10.000 LK runs as well and I want to share my results:
I made the runs on Plugy 1.14d on /players8 with my lvl 94 sorceress (120 fcr)
I got a really nice map, with both campfires directly near the wp (first hut was 2 tps away) in a circular order. I am not the fastest, but with collecting the items of interest I was able to finish 10 runs in about 4:50.
Here are the runes I got:
28 Lem (5 of these from logs, corpses normal chests)
18 Pul (one from log)
13 Um
3 Mal
8 Ist
14 Gul (one from corpse)
4 Vex
2 Ohm
2 Lo (one from corpse)
6 Sur
0 Ber (sadly)
Pretty unlucky with the high runes and a load of Lems and Puls...but thats the way it is.
I took a brak after 6000 runs (because i could build my Infinity) and started to go there again to collect the remaining runes for Enigma (found a Ber oof of Pindle and just needed another 4 Surs from LK). Now I'm lacking 1 Sur for Enigma and I will go on running LK till its done.

Watching all this in preparation of D2R coming out, years later, and yeah, seeing just how rare all these runes are is discouraging. Makes me laugh how every character guide says like, "You need 5 rune words to make this build work!"

Just started doing single player LK runs today. I spent two hours on Players 1 getting nothing higher than Shael. Then I saw Mr LlamaSC's guide and tried on Players 8 instead - after like 4-5 runs a Ber Rune dropped o.O, got it on recording. Given your excellent video, it is clear to me that I must have been very lucky with that ber rune.

You need to tell us how long these runs took, I'm extremely interested in that and I'm sure others are too
It depends on the map, I once rolled an awesome map and could do easy sub 30 second runs.
If it took him even as little as 10 seconds per run to pop the chests and grab the items, it would take roughly 28 continuous hours to complete 10,000 of them. My guess, it probably took him closer to 20 seconds per run (or more), which would be 46 continuous hours to complete. To put it bluntly, it's stupidly ridiculous for the Dev's of Diablo 2 to expect the average player to have to spend that much time to acquire only a fraction of the best gear in the game, but they didn't design the drop rates for single player, they designed the drop rates for an online economy of MILLIONS of players, which no longer exists.
@DeadlyDanDaMan true, but 20 seconds is a brutally fast run. I am not sure if I was doing sub 25 second runs even with the best map I have ever seen.
Probably half the run is entering the game, walking close enough to the waypoint to telekinesis it.
Most people would spend a few hours per day running lk
30 seconds is more realistic. And also you need some time for moving stuff around every couple of runs. That takes time too.

I did some LK farming recently, too. I can confirm getting mainly Gul and Sur when it comes to High Runes. I really wanted a Lo, but I don't think it's worth it farming LK for that. I also got a Mara's from some random vulture that was in the way, that's some illuminati shit right there.
Few things I wanna add:
Most important thing about this farm is of course to get a GG map. From what I can figure out from your video is that the one you ran is faaaaar from optimal (doesn't change anything about it's value, you just could have made it faster). The one i have currently has all 4 superchest houses in a circle right next to the waypoint; 2 blinks to hop inbetween all of them.
Next thing is that on players 8 the chests drop so much crap that you aren't shown everything. That makes me superanxious. I don't think you shouldn't run players 8, but I'm wondering if there's a solution.
Last thing is that it's also a good method to farm gems in all qualities. They're really annoying to pick up and slow down your run, but if you need them, LK might be a good spot to farm.

Here you find a gathering of the fixed chest drop patterns considering high runes; so basically more empirical data. I've looked at some of your finds and they actually match the known patterns.
I've just finished at 2,2k runs and got 2x Ber 2x Sur 6x Mal and 1x Ist, not mentioning lower than mal. So I guess you were very unlucky for that ber drop. Oh, and it took mi 19h44mins with an average 32,2 seconds per run.
I don't know but I found a Sur rune from a chest out of those house, actually I've got 2 Sur runes from LW. That place is sick! good job and keep it up :D I love your content.

Finally a Lo after probably 1000+ runs! Made my first single player Fortitude armor!
I got a Eth 5 sox Ettin drop and had all but a Vex to make a Death. So I started farming for it in LK and guess what. It dropped within an hour. I know that I was luckier this time since it took me much less than the Lo, but man I wld have nvr dared farming for it in LK, had I not watched this vid. The game feels totally different after watching this single vid. Thx Dbrunski.
And another Sur rune while checking the whole LK map, right next to another Ko rune in the neighbored chest. Man the drop rate feels much higher than I expected. Or maybe its my luckier period.

v1.14 this week i've got 2 Ohms there, on legit battle.net- both from other boxes in the place as i clear the whole area, given that the "super" boxes never give me anything...probably less than 100 runs i'd estimate as i clear about 8 areas per game.

This really works. I found a map with the two bonfires basically right next to the wp. Did LK runs on p8 for the past year nearly every day, maybe 200-300 runs a day while chilling and listening to music. Made so many Enigma and Infinity. Didn’t find many Bers but a lot of Surs which I ultimately combined into Bers and Jahs.

I'm pretty sure there is no Ber rune pattern on p8. I farmed my Enigma on p3. Got a Ber after 100 runs, and the rest was Lo/Sur/Vex runes. Don't remember if Ohm dropped aswell, but i can confirm Ber drops on p3.

I can confirm there is. The first HR I got from my LK farming was a Ber rune. I was actually on P7, but P7 and P8 have the same patterns.
Ber rune is not given by super chests; get that rune by checking dead bodies etc.

I've been running this on an Assassin for the last few days. All I've found is about 12 Ral runes, 2 Ort's and a Nef. I guess what I'm trying to say is, you have the fortitude and patience of a holy man, and I am jealous as hell :D
(On the other hand, outside of runes, I found Firelizard's Talons and a Bul-Kathos ring, so who am I to complain?)

Sur rune is the highest rune you found as far as rarity goes. Two Lo runes = Sur. Great video!
regentry549 hey man. When i was referring to Lo being the rarest rune it was in relation to the lower kurast chest patterns. On p8. There are 2 Lo patterns out of a total 65 k roughly patterns. While there are 11 sur rune patterns on p8. So your right a sur rune is more rare off of a monster drop. But in reality, when your farming hi runes directly from lower kurast on p8 difficulty. You have a way higher chance of getting a sur rune then a Lo rune. Thats what I was referring to when I said Lo rune is the rarest rune you can find from lk on p8. I prob should have been more specific.

How long does it take you to do a run on average ?
Ok... I just did 1K runs, using Silospen's run counter. took 9 hours and 3 minutes of actual runtime, with an average of just under 30 seconds per run. The highest rune i found was Vex, This was all on P8. I had done approximately 5-600 runs previously without counting and found 2 Bers, 2 Ohms, a Sur and 2 Lo... Sometimes it really is all about that RNG.
Awesome video brunski but I do have a couple major criticisms. With regards to your run efficiency you used a lot of your inventory space on charms even though combat isn't so prominent in lk runs. What I find more efficient is to run a mostly clean inventory and stash/ID stuff as it fills up. I allocate inventory space for just my cube, tomes, anni, torch, sometimes gheeds although very optional, and about 12 stacks of keys (as that leaves a fair bit of room for items to pick up, most notably charms and jewels as they're more common than mid and high runes), and it works out because the keys get used up as I go which makes space for more stuff that I find as I use the keys up. Also for the same reason as the charms, I find BOing to be not a very worthwhile use of time in lk runs. I know you've mentioned that you're not running lk again but this is mostly for anyone who sees the vid so that they know there's ways to run lk that I would argue are more efficient. But again, nice video, I enjoyed it.

With PLUGY, I've found much joy in the game. As I grind LK and AT, I find myself wondering what run I'm on. Could you please share your run counter and set up? With a 200fcr sorc, i have an average of roughly 100 runs per hour (i take into account the time needed to identify items, storing stuff into the stash, and cubing up the gems)
So basically i assume your 10 000 runs took... 100 hours. Wow, the patience is real.

2 ist runes
1 gul rune
4 vex runes
1 ohm rune
2 lo runes
Damn... getting infinity and enigma on single player is a pain in the butt...

Yeah playing single player with plugy just seems pointless, like it makes it easier to have all the stash space and be able to reset your talents and stat points all the time, but at that point it’s more like you’re just playing a simulation of diablo, who’s to say the drops are actually correct and what you’re finding is real. But then it’s just a video game anyways, I guess it doesn’t matter if the drops are real or not.
This inspired me. I was looking to build enigma on SP. After watching this video i started doing LK runs on players 7 with my sorc, guessing it would take ma about 9k runes to get 1 BER and 1 JAH
Surprisingly it took me only 1300 runs to get 2 SUR and 2 BER runes :D

After like 1.5k LK runs I successfully managed to complete my Fana runewords in a GMB n now able to breeze through p7 pits/AT runs to find that WF, I have doubt it can be any better than this Faith haha., even easier killings after I finally found a Titans Revenge n now running hybrid build.
