Wrapped in a warm blanket had the sound engineer on there last pod cast he said that he did not have any rehearsal with Angelina at all just a sound check with the band
Glad to hear your take on this concert. I wasn't able to go to this one either but wish I could have. Love your perspective and totally agree with you. Peace and love and waiting for the next one.
The sound engineering at this concert was, to my ears, the best so far, of her 4 US concerts. Just as one example - I hardly noticed the bass drum the whole concert. Not sure if they took the pedal away or what, but in the previous concerts it sometimes overwhelmed her vocals. And as you likely heard by now from Bob Palmer, who has played jazz himself and is doing audio work for a local jazz group in his area, AJ&Co have their own sound engineer now and he was working this concert. I think in general she and her family are learning as they go and will continue to up their game and/or bring in professional help when they feel it's appropriate. A new record label, which seems likely to be announced soon, is almost certainly going to inject new thinking as well.
A-aron, I wish you could have attended this concert. I thought the sound quality was the best of her 4 concerts and the sound engineer hired for this show was just a guest on Wrapped in a Warm Blanket. That said, there is room for improvement and Angelina deserves to have the best audio quality.
I wasn't expecting to hear this one since there was an agreement to wait till December from James and Chris and whoever else but it's nice to hear and the feedback can be removed through selective audio filtering, it's easy to do. I love to hear all her Christmas songs and I know she loves to sing them.
Good reaction, Aaron. I agree that this song was better than Driving Home For Christmas. Not sure what went on, but they hired a professional sound engineer for the concert. Maybe the problem was the location the recording was made from? Who knows?
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I sure wish I could have gone to this concert also. This song also sounded better on the EP, I think. Maybe that's just because of the difference between studio sound verses live sound quality. I heard I Will Always Love You from this concert and it sounded pretty good. It was James Thiel's edit so perhaps his editing skill made it sound better. With her family being her management perhaps they are to insular and could benefit from some outside input. What do you think? Their support got her to this point but she seems stuck and not growing her audience it seems to me. I really want her to grow and achieve all of her dreams. Commercial success and quality are not the same thing but it should be possible to have both. I wish for her to have both!
Wrapped in a Warm Blanket did an interview with the sound engineer on Feb 2. s4e6 - The New Sound Engineer with Patrick Ercolini - Angelina Jordan Podcast th-cam.com/video/tNRSweURIxo/w-d-xo.html
From the interview, it seems he was a one-time hire for that concert. He didn't know anything about Angelina before he was hired. He said he would love to work with her again because he was totally blown away by her talent. I hope they do hire Patrick for future concerts & that he becomes part of her team.

What agreement? Was i not supposed to do this? If so, I was not aware and it was unintentional
@@A-AronReacts Not a problem as far as I am concerned

Aaron, Angelina hizo al menos una versión para un concierto navideño en televisión. Ahí el sonido es perfecto. Y el acompañamiento muy superior...
