Thanks for sharing and thanks for driving it how it is meant to be. If all the dream cars in the world were not actually driven but kept as garage queens there was no grass roots motorsports anymore like hill climbs, and that would be a shame. So thumbs up!

But in this case driver didn't react correctly when he hit bumps, and that resulted in crash. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't stand a chance comparing with his skills, but he still made an error.
First rule of car racing is don’t put your thumbs inside the wheel. Second rule is don’t cross up your arms. Good driving but form needs work. Can’t tell if he is using left foot braking or not but it comes in handy to help plant the front tires for the turn.

With a manual E46 the clutch could've been dumped to cut power and you might've had a better chance of stopping the massive oversteer that kicked you into the wall. Just like others have said on this thread, another CSL consigned to the history books :( Glad you got out okay, hopefully your next choice of hillclimb car won't be so rare!

CSL is very good car.It have a good handling and good traction,nice sound. But I can't buy CSL again,I don't interested in CSL Whatapp group.

The road surface fckd him up. It looked like there was a land slip on the outer edge causing the rumbles. That area that should have been blocked off from use until re-enforced and re-surfaced. He was conservative in his drive; there was one turn that he took a bit too fast then he was, again, fine. Need a lot more guard rails on that roadway to be used for this purpose--too many poles and trees exposed.
So sad to see. I really hope the driver didn't get hurt that bad. Out of all the legendary cars to use why this one, it should have been kept on a museum. The car is too rare to be risked like that. Now that's one more rare CSL gone :(
CSL is a pretty special car to use in a hill climb.. and dont get wrong but i couldnt understand why you were not even bothering to ease to throttle or steer more before going into curbs that doesnt exist..
If you're talking about the yellow lighted symbol between the speedometer and tachometer, that's the traction control. It's warning that it is set to off (and it should be in driving like this).

At least its full potential was utilized in life, unlike almost every other csl still around. Tragic to lose one but imagine what it felt like to be using every ounce of grip in that car with so many hours behind the wheel
Mehn be careful mehn the weather seems like a bit rainy and what you doing mehn driving too fast into a corner. Before you turn into the corner usually need to change down. The golden rule here is to select a gear which will allow you to accelerate out of the bend efficiently. Heel and toe shifting can be a useful technique to master here as it allows you to brake and change down simultaneously while avoiding transmission shock loads which can unbalance the car and cause unwanted weight transfers.
Wrecked an ls400 running from the cops in a manner almost exactly like that. Except I hit a tree, and they estimated I was going about 75 when I hit the tree... 😓

I believe going too fast and misreading the pavement is what is referred to as 'driver error'... Still that sucks op :(

Did you know that hillclimb well? should take it easy through that section.

sarcastixx74 yes clutch would have helped. I had an accident very similar to this in my smg m3, I do reckon I could have saved it if I had a clutch.

When in doubt flop twitch the steering wheel left to right to stabilize income oversteer.

Do you know why it went wrong? 04:45 Acclerating while having this steering lock makes you oversteer. too much rpm for this situation.

Malgré tout plutot bon pilote pas de bol avec le revêtement de la piste .. Suspension trop rigide selon moi ..
