Sorry but what do you mean it doesn't work with Hylian shield? I'm just learning this stuff and I was able to megaflip with Hylian shield. I havent tried the hover ones, though.
As Child Link, it only works with the Deku Shield. As Adult Link, you can use either the Hylian Shield or the Mirror Shield. Hope this helps clear things up!
