Wodto Barnes' battlecry is 'summon a 1/1 copy'. If you silence that copy of the minion you get the stats back,

Kripp was two short lethal. He had Brave Archer in play which does two damage to the enemy when your hand is empty. If he would have won the joust, there would be one card in his hand that he can't play because he had used all of his mana.
