What are some filmmaking tools you actually use that don't cost much?

Making Movies I discovered bongo ties a few months ago and LOVE them!!! I use them for all sorts of things including cable ties, keeping cables or accessories out of the way, and more.

Tie Line is a better option for cables. Not only is it cheaper than bongos, but it lasts longer and serves more purpose. When daisy chaining 2 stingers, instead of tying them together by knotting the copper, you can use the tie line that you've attached to your stinger to tie one stinger to the next.

I don't want to pay the price for a Craftsman 4-way keychain, so I looked up my local industrial supply, and ordered 5 at $2 each. Cheaper, and I supported a local business!

I always keep with me one of the tiny 3 ft keychain tape measures you can get at target or meijer for $3 or so, it’s amazing how many times because need to measure something on set and having it in a keychain form makes it easy to never forget and to carry around (you should probably get a real tape measure too, but for conveniency’s sake, the keychain is awesome).

Another Helpful video ! Great refresher as well ! Keep it up ! One filmmaking tool I keep on me at all time is a 24inch 5 in 1 reflector it cost me just under $12 dollars and is so helpful.

I used a spark plug gap before to tighten things but I like your idea better. Thanks🎬

I use BLU TAK to stick butter papers on my led lights which comes very handy instead of clamps and costs of 2 $ in Australia

Using things like a book on a flat surface is great for a cheap slide shot when you don't have a slider tripod.

I use a coin too when I have one on me. Nice thing about this little tool is it has varying sizes to get into different sized holes/devices.
