LAPTOP ASSEMBLY AND TEAR DOWN AND THERMAL PASTE REPLACEMENT FOR DELL INSPIRON 15R 5537

STEPS:-
1) UNLATCH THE BATTERY AND REMOVE THE BATTERY.
2)REMOVE THE 15 SCREWS AND REMOVE THE PANEL .
3)OPEN THE LAPTOP AND REMOVE THE KEYBOARD BY UNLATCHING THE LATCHES .
4)REMOVE THE 7 SCREWS AND REMOVE THE 2 RIBBON CONNECTORS.
5)UNCLIP THE WHOLE PANEL WHERE THE KEYBOARD WAS CONNECTED.
6)REMOVE THE 3 SCREWS ON THE MOTHER BOARD(2 SILVER SCREWS AND
ONE BLACK) .THEN REMOVE THE DISC-DRIVE BY SLIDING IT OUT.
7)THEN REMOVE THE THREE RIBBON CONNECTORS THAT ARE IN THE BOARD .
THEN DISCONNECT THE WLAN UNIT WHICH IS SITUATED ON THE TOP OF THE LAPTOP TOWARDS THE SCREEN. THE WLAN CHIP IS HELD IN BY A SCREW.
8) THEN SLOWLY WIGGLE THE BOARD AWAY FROM THE FRAME AND DISCONNECT TWO MORE CONNECTOR ON THE TOP RIGHT OF THE BOARD.
9) REMOVE THE 7 SCREWS ON THE BOARD AND REMOVE THE FAN CONNECTOR THEN REMIVE THE HEAT SINKS AND FAN( GIVE IT A CLEAN ).
10)INJECT ENOUGH QUANTITY OF THERMAL PASTE ON BOTH THE CHIPS(CPU AND GPU)
FOLLOW THE STEPS BACKWARDS FOR REASSEMBLEY . THANK YOU AND HOPE THIS HELPED.....

Thanks for watch ,glad to help. I just used normal tissue. That was more than enought , u can use alcohol wipes for wiping the motherboard if you want .

You can also use nail polish remover. That's what I used to get the old paste out. In my laptop, the old paste was caked in hard. Nail polish remover applied to a piece of tissue softened it right up. Works like a charm

i was not able to remove the flex cable at 3:30, did not have a lid like the previous? n how do you disconnect that one?

I think it was just a pull out cable.

Now it got black screen and sometimes the cpu fan goes 100%

Did u put force on the display causing it to crack ? If not then it might just be a loose ribbon cable so just pull the display cable out and maybe clean the port and cable with isopropyl alcohol and plug it in again after it dry's, do the same for the cpu fan , but that ramping up might mean u dint apply thermal paste properly , or maybe even the heatsink and do the cleaning step for the fan as well , if it still does not work , maybe yes you did something wrong...

Does the motherboard have a TPM header ? Can we upgrade to Windows 11?

@@themechanic9841 I'm using the exact same laptop, Upgraded RAM & SSD. Apart from TPM, All other requirements are met. I needed to know, whether it is possible to mount a TPM to our Motherboard or not.
