I much prefer my current Bond 50 set. I really like the slip covers for each disc (almost feels like you own a set of expensive vinyl lol). Won't be picking up a new set until the eventual 4k remasters come along!
Hmm i am thinking about witch collection to buy, and as i am from norway it seems my best bet is bond 50. So there arent much difference between them really? Then there is also this one www.amazon.com/James-Bond-Collection-Bd-Blu-ray/dp/B0126ZK6GE. I am stuck here witch to buy...
I have a question, the bluray menu on skyfall and Quantum of solace have the same presentation than the other movies? In the bond 50 edition are different. Thanks
Thank you for doing such an excellent review of the Amazon box set. I will indeed get this set since it also has the digital copies included. The other box set out now with the white cover does not have the digital copies. Appreciate the great information as to which set to buy! Best, --Tom Pennock
+Tom Pennock Thanks Tom, glad it helped you out with which set to purchase. Also, just a quick note, the digital code is just one code for all 23 films, and it's good for Vudu and Flixster.
Thank's for the kind response. I was not aware it was only one code. I would assume that at some point if the code is not redeemed that it will expire. Once it is used it should last for a long time then. I am not that familiar with the digital code. Well, to be honest I am kind of an analog guy. I keep buying the 007 videos. The first one I bought was the RCA Selectavision '"Goldfinger" CED Capacitance Electronic Disc back in 1981. I still have the Sean Connery CED's yet. I sold the rest of them plus the RCA player when I got out of CED..
So Chris what's your favorite James Bond movie mines the Living Daylights from Timothy Dalton. Love that movie to me its everything that every James Bond movie requires at its best to me Timothy Dalton is James Bond. My second favorite Bond is Daniel Craig then Pierce Brosnan then Sean Connery then Roger Moore then George Lazenby.
I bought something like this at best buy, then I accidentally bought one from a sellar on amazon. Had it canceled, but a week later they sent it anyway, even though they came up canceled. Great collection really! But I do not need 2 copies. haha
i have to say..the box is beautiful but looks a little recycled..even tje poster book is already been released (got it on hardcover).. blurays have the same extras i guess (i know perhaps there arent more).. i guess at one point i will buy it..its just uncool they didnt wait until spectre is released and in the box too.. perhaps to could have included something more we dont already own trough the bond 50 box (wich btw IS awesome).. are the blue discs the same press? i mean is the menu or something different? because the discs looking pretty much identical to the last box? anyway..good review and thank you for it.. :)
The main menu is all the same in this set just like the Bond 50 set discs. This re release set includes Everything or Nothing and a couple new features, but all the other features on the bonus disc are the same features from the Bond 50 set. Thanks for checking it out.
The outer case, thing on the back and the DVD boxes are all beautiful. I doubt I'll buy this on bluray... Is there a DVD edition of this that's identical?
Hey man. Question. On amazon they don’t specify in how many languages come the subtitles, could you check that for me please? I wanna get that set for my old man but he’s English is a little rough. I’m wondering if there’s subtitles in both Spanish and English. Thanks man.
All those special features are cool but how often are you going to watch them for it to be worth paying such a hefty price? We don't have the tax money James Bond at his leisure to use from the UK citizens.
I'd really like to own a James Bond Blu ray collection but there will be future James Bond movies and I'm afraid it would be silly to have a complete collection + seperate future movies.... :( so I don't know what to do
Im waiting for a complete collection including spectre, as im pretty sure it will be the last craig movie and I think there will be a bit of a gap before the next film
+Rossi the Bossi It's not official but the producers said that Craig's return is a very good possibility. Plus, Christoph Watlz contract says that he will only return if Craig plays Bond. So Craig will return, alongside Watlz for 1 or 2 more films.
+Jack Smith As I explained in my review, "The Ultimate James Bond Collection" includes the digital copy code for all the movies, also a Bonus Disc which features the documentary, "Everything or Nothing" and it also includes a booklet. The regular "James Bond Collection" doesn't include any of that, just the movies and the special features that are already on each movie disc.
+TheBluRayCritic I was reading forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?p=11295690&posted=1#post11295690 post #613 mentioned that the title theme songs ARE included, it even includes Skyfall theme song. Are there different editions of the Amazon exclusive? Possibly for different region? Is yours the US version?
hey good man, do you know if all the movies have spanish lenguage available? not the subtitles but the voices, please let me know I want this set so bad to watch with my gf but she dosen´t speaks english please please please
+LeasingSaucer71 It depends, if you want to see the new documentary Everything or Nothing, and have digital versions as well as the booklet, then I would go with the Ultimate Collection. Bond 50 is a great set, especially if you want it for display purposes. Bond 50 also has pictures of all the Bond girls and images of the Bond actors. Budget wise, I would go for the Bond 50 set since it costs a lot less, but if you don't mind spending the extra cash, then I would go with the Ultimate Collection.
Thanks. Yes, the standard edition has it's own special features on each movie disc, just like the Bond 50 set. But the standard set doesn't come with the bonus disc.
+TheBluRayCritic Ah right, cheers! I was just wondering what set was best to get. I don't own any Bond BluRay sets yet and was looking for the best deal.
+Angus Lamont (AnimateAngus) The new set is nice if you want it for compact reasons, and the discs are easier to get out of the case. Bond 50 still remains the more beautiful looking set though.
If you want nice looking packaging and you don't mind that the set doesn't have a space for Spectre, then go for the Bond 50 set. If you want digital copies of the films, plus a bonus disc that contains a new Bond documentary and space for Spectre, then get this set, The Ultimate Bond Collection.
Thanks ,it seems the best bet for me is the 50 collection even tough digital copies of the films etc sound good to to bad is twice as expensive to buy if i had decided to go for that here in norway so. It seems the 50 collection is the best bet thanks
Great video, i really enjoyed it.. im just wondering if you could help me with one thing here there is one thats in region b which i need(im from iceland) www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Ultimate-James-Bond-Collection-Blu-ray/136389/ do you know if this box contains the exact same things as yours? it also says in subitles: none... which im not very fond off, i always want to have english subtitles.
+Steven “Eagleman” Eagle Hi Steven, I appreciate the kind words. In regards to the Region B edition you are referring too. It will indeed contain the same exact features as mine does, including English subtitles. All the movie discs are basically the same discs from the Bond 50 collection and individual releases. The reason why it says none for subtitles on the Blu-ray.com website is because they haven't reviewed the Region B edition yet because it's the same exact set as mine, which is Region A. The only difference between the Region A edition and Region B edition is the ratings logos on the packaging.
+TheBluRayCritic Hmm i don't really understand, but i guess i won't miss it, will be ordering this soon, can't wait to have it :) Thank you very much, i subscribed
Awesome unboxing +TheBluRayCritic! This set looks amazing! I sent you a TH-cam private message by the way. Please take a look when you get time. Thank you for the unboxing video. :)
Nice set. I have the bond 50 set. Seems it will be hard to collect Bond since its a ongoing series. Im not the biggest Bond fan. I seen a few. But Daniel Craig is pretty bad ass. They made him more serious, and lethal than most bonds. He can be suave, as well lol
+leeroygreene85 Thanks bro. I think this is the last time I'll buy Bond on Blu-ray. I'll wait it out until they release it in 4K someday. Yeah Daniel Craig is pretty bad ass as Bond, he definitely doesn't have the comedic side like Roger Moore did. lol I'm a big fan of Pierce Brosnan as Bond since I grew up with his films, but next to Craig, Brosnan is pretty weak. lol
+TheBluRayCritic very true! Pierce kinda represents the gentleman Bond that Connery was and loved for. Tim Dalton is prob close to Craig since theyre more serious in tone. The bourne and nolan batman series paved the way for Craig's bond to be more lethal w his hands. And not so campy in tone, realistic in its approach and build a story arc. Spectre hopefully will answer the questions we had in quantum of solace.
+leeroygreene85 I agree, Dalton had a very similar tone to Craig. It's too bad Dalton only played Bond twice, I think he should've done at least four films. Craig's take as Bond was a refreshing change in terms of the overall performance and feel of the films, just as you mentioned, even though many scenes were inspired by Nolan's Batman films and the Bourne Trilogy. I think it would be hard to top Craig's films when someone else takes over next, since we're all used to him as being the bad ass Bond.
I much prefer my current Bond 50 set. I really like the slip covers for each disc (almost feels like you own a set of expensive vinyl lol). Won't be picking up a new set until the eventual 4k remasters come along!
matthewg.89 me too! :)

It's still worth it if you also want the Digital Copies of all the James Bond movie including Spectre both physical and digital
Very nice set! I like this one better, because of how they did the packaging design.
the bond 50 box set if you are careful pull disc out slowly
I have a question, the bluray menu on skyfall and Quantum of solace have the same presentation than the other movies? In the bond 50 edition are different.
Thanks
+steven bohorquez The menu for Quantum and Skyfall for this Ultimate Edition are the same ones from the previous Bond 50 set.
Thank you for doing such an excellent review of the Amazon box set. I will indeed get this set since it also has the digital copies included. The other box set out now with the white cover does not have the digital copies. Appreciate the great information as to which set to buy!

+TheBluRayCritic a question about that code. how many uses does it have? i wanna assume single use, but it'd be great if it had 2.
You can only use the code once.
Excellent Unboxing I will be getting this version.
+JWUniverse Thanks man, definitely is a nice set to own.
The Japanese version is all black the blue-ray boxes i think its fit better with a James bond collection here dont like the blue...
Great unboxing! Alas there seems to be an issue at Amazon...it's no longer available.
+mark burns Thanks Mark. I heard about that, not sure what's going on with this set at Amazon. Hopefully they will get it back in stock soon.
Are these the same extras as the Ultimate Collector DVD volumes 1-4 released around 2006? I need to replace my set since the disks are deteriorating.
I bought something like this at best buy, then I accidentally bought one from a sellar on amazon. Had it canceled, but a week later they sent it anyway, even though they came up canceled. Great collection really! But I do not need 2 copies. haha
How much was this originally? Its 169$ on amazon idk if its cheap or overpriced
I actually prefer the standard edition case with all the Bond actors on it.
Do the Digital Codes work on Vudu in USA?
Yes
+TheBluRayCritic Where Can You Find The Digital Code While Your Unboxing The Blu Ray James Bond Set

This edition is only released on Blu-ray.
+TheBluRayCritic thanks for answering to george..one day more and i would have ask the same question.. i guess i will buy it in a few weeks..
John Blaze -Universal Exports- I might just go and buy it anyways even though it's blu-ray! looks great!
Hey With the digital download cannot be used through iTunes or does it have to be used through something else
Can it
Menus the same as the Ultimate Editions?
Yes, the menus are all the same just like previous Blu-Ray releases.
The only difference i this set also includes Spectre and Digital Copies of all the James Bond movies
Hey man.
I usually watch the special features for a particular film right after I watch the movie.
I'd really like to own a James Bond Blu ray collection but there will be future James Bond movies and I'm afraid it would be silly to have a complete collection + seperate future movies.... :( so I don't know what to do
+Supervillain I have the 50 years bluray box set. which looks good next to my spectre poster :P
Im waiting for a complete collection including spectre, as im pretty sure it will be the last craig movie and I think there will be a bit of a gap before the next film
+Rossi the Bossi Craig is going to do at least one more. But that's a good idea, when Craig's done, we will have a 3 or 4 year break between films.
CM Punk BITW is he definitely doing 1 more? Is it official?
+Rossi the Bossi It's not official but the producers said that Craig's return is a very good possibility. Plus, Christoph Watlz contract says that he will only return if Craig plays Bond. So Craig will return, alongside Watlz for 1 or 2 more films.
Is blu ray quality better than streaming services?
Yes. Some resolution is lost during the streaming process. It's not a lot, but it is there.
I bought this but can't find the ultra violet codes
Ben Oatley could be stuck to the inside of the white slip cover with the diagonal movie titles. Mine was like that. Just had to shake it a little.
What about Spectre?
Awesome set. Great unboxing.
+BlurayWorldOrder Thanks man.
Does this set have the special features that the old dvds had or not? I am debating whether to get the dvds or the blu-rays one day.
Yes, all the features are included for each film.
@@TheBluRayCritic Thank you very much! That's awesome!
How does this - "The Ultimate James Bond Collection" compare to the "James Bond Collection" both blurays with all the films but one costs a lot more?
+Jack Smith As I explained in my review, "The Ultimate James Bond Collection" includes the digital copy code for all the movies, also a Bonus Disc which features the documentary, "Everything or Nothing" and it also includes a booklet. The regular "James Bond Collection" doesn't include any of that, just the movies and the special features that are already on each movie disc.
Is this essentially the same set as the white box?
Almost, except this set includes the poster booklet and an extra disc which features a documentary and other extras.
Does the new bonus disc on this set include all the stuff (mini featurettes) that was on the Bond 50 collection bonus disc?
Yeah ok... thanks... I didn't like that feature anyway... hehe... pretty useless IMO. ;)
+Jim Wu Yeah, after a second look it is indeed included. It's listed under Title Sequence. This is the U.S. edition.
TheBluRayCritic thanks for checking
hey good man, do you know if all the movies have spanish lenguage available? not the subtitles but the voices, please let me know I want this set so bad to watch with my gf but she dosen´t speaks english please please please
Gabriel, you're in luck, all the Bond movies have Spanish audio.
+TheBluRayCritic thank you so much my friend, blessings
Is there a blu ray collection without the Craig movies?
Yeah, the individual releases, or the James Bond actor sets that were recently released.
Does the digital copy work with iTunes?
+Yawei Li Doesn't work with iTunes.
Would you recommend bond 50 or the new one ???
+LeasingSaucer71 It depends, if you want to see the new documentary Everything or Nothing, and have digital versions as well as the booklet, then I would go with the Ultimate Collection. Budget wise, I would go for the Bond 50 set since it costs a lot less, but if you don't mind spending the extra cash, then I would go with the Ultimate Collection.
Great review/unboxing. So does the regular edition (white packaging) still come with the standard extra features on each disc?

Where is the code for the movies? I cannot seem to find it anywhere.
+DaBlackSuperman492 Mine was in the first Blu-ray case next to Dr. No
+TheBluRayCritic thanks
So can anyone help witch is the best collection to actually buy?
If you want nice looking packaging and you don't mind that the set doesn't have a space for Spectre, then go for the Bond 50 set. If you want digital copies of the films, plus a bonus disc that contains a new Bond documentary and space for Spectre, then get this set, The Ultimate Bond Collection.

I thought it included spectre
Not at the date of this video. This was before Spectre got released in theaters. However, it does include it now.
I got this one for just 23 EUR at a lonely corner of ebay.

+Steven “Eagleman” Eagle The film classification rating that says 15 on the packaging of the box.
+TheBluRayCritic Hmm i don't really understand, but i guess i won't miss it, will be ordering this soon, can't wait to have it :) Thank you very much, i subscribed
