my favorite tekken videos are JDCR giving past stories while just casually playing ranked matches against people desperate to win.
his stories about that wooden sword hwoarang, the lady at the bus giving him bus money, and that man who played tekken with him and other boys and driving them back home; all such good stories.
i'd love to hear both wooden sword hwoarang and the old driving man to somehow cameo in jdcr's presence. but one can dream.

I get that you're joking, but this is exactly how many Hwo mains think. Everything is plus, everything launches, plus some of the best powercrush and range in the game. After they learn a couple of flowcharts and get carried to orange ranks they feel super smart, only to realize that you actually need fundamentals and defense once people know how to counter your stuff.

Having watched this before actually meeting JDCR in a tournament was actually really funny. Nice icebreaker, and the story of Swordmaster Hwo is the stuff of true legends.

I mained Hwo for years since childhood but once I decided to actually look at his combos then shit, he was hard to propely use хддд then started studying other characters and damn they're so much easier
As far as I know Taekwondo Fighters also use their hands in combat Unless it's a Taekwondo tournament where only kicks are allowed.
Whenever he referenced hwo like this, im never sure if he's trolling.
In his recent hwo is C tier vid he was saying how certain moves were busted but he had this sarcastic tone the entire vid so i was genuinely confused
He obviously thinks hwo is very strong, he's just making fun of all the hwo players/downplayers who constantly whine about hwo being weak and low tier while completely ignoring his strengths

Ye im a hwo main and ppl downplaying him always made me scratch my head.
He is EXTREMELY strong if you can adjust your play as your opponent adjusts to you.
That can be said of any character of course but his rushdown is BUSTED as long as you dont autopilot and get predictable.
Oh yeah. His movement is a pressure tool as well. Not as scary as a Mishima but he can play just as fast and oppressive if you have a true wavu.
With good offensive movement ppl will ve terrified of your approach and baiting for the b4 whiff becomes much easier.
His keepout IS truly terrible though. Your fundie defense as a player has to be very good as well.
He truly is a char for advanced players imo. Low rank flamingo spam makes ppl think otherwise

Other than this typo only thing I’ve got to add is that he is also extremely linear making it kinda hard to go in on your opponent, especially if they got some solid keep out tools or evasive moves. Pretty spot on explanation of the character! Loving his playstyle and how versatile you can be with Hwo. Only buff I would like would be to have a kinda chunky low on LFF but I want that just as much as I want the backlash active frames nerf.

If you watch pro hwoarang players you’ll understand how strong he can be, just takes a lot of time and effort to play the character and learn everything.
You can say that about any character in the mid tier or even low tier. The point is, they're playing on much higher level and min-maxing is the only way because it takes less time to master a character. They have to master at least few characters in order to swap for better matchup if it's needed. Yeah you can be a grandmaster Hwoarang but you have to play only 1 character for many years. Dedicate your whole life to it.
@@ant_989 usually, pro players play more than one character, players gain a better understanding and are able to develop different defensive strategies just cause they’re more familiar with their opponent’s moves, or at least that’s what I’ve seen
@@PAX75 Yeah but Hwoarang players always play only Hwoarang. Same with Ling, Yoshi, Raven etc. Those are way too complex characters for tournament play. That's why top players stick to S tier. For instance Knee picked Feng after patch, Arslan started playing Leo after the patch etc. They're slaves to meta and you can't blame them. They want to win no matter what and those characters are much easier to learn and to win with. That's why you can rarely see characters which are bottom to mid tier in tournaments. Way too complex. They rather stick to few moves and their 50-50 vortex than 30+ moves and weird properties. Less thinking about the outcome, faster reflexes and better results. The only people who play characters like Hwoarang, Ling, Yoshi are those who wanna prove themselves but players like JDCR, Knee or Arslan are past that. They don't give a fuck as long as they're winning.
@@ant_989 I understand your point, makes sense, but the players I’ve seen play Mishimas too or king/armor king in addition to some other characters but I wasn’t talking about tournaments. There are players like k-wiss and rest and many others that do win tournaments, but you’re absolutely right. They pick characters with crazy safe moves, which can be dealt with using movement. In a sense I think players enjoy playing their main character more, eyemusician for example mains yoshi but also plays Alisa maybe even other characters that I haven’t seen, this game is just testing your opponent’s knowledge in a sense so there’s always a way to make it work for any character, just isn’t as easy or efficient like you mentioned

태권도에 발기술보다 손기술이 훨씬 많은데 발차기연결기술과 빠른 스텝,화려한 회전 기술이 많아 발차기로만 인식하는데 전혀 그렇지않습니다..다만 경기에서 즉 경기겨루기에서 손기술이 주먹몸통만 허용되고있어서 더 그런인식이 있는것같네요..화랑 푸싱 기술은 태극 7장에 나오는 젖혀지르기동작 입니다

Dont underestimate him. On the right hands, he destroys you. I think Hes way stronger than dragunov. And as character he's one of the most hard to domain also. Respect. Because as a character i think he is one of the best in the game. Overall because he has a noble heart and good feelings. It requires a lot of skill to use him.
