You know how in cartoons, whenever there's someone bad on stage, a hook comes from offstage and yanks them away? They really should do that in real life.

Yeah, the judges don't need to be so mean. I don't think people need to hear how much they suck even if they do suck. Just tell them it's not right for the show or to keep practicing or an idea of how they can improve and gently say no. Most of these people are just having fun anyway.
