Get on with it. I don’t want to know everything there is about chiggers. All I want to know is how to minimize the itch. If someone asks you what time it is, do you tell them how clock works?
Chiggers do NOT burrow into your skin. That is an old wives tale. They can easily be brushed off and will come off the first time you take a bath or shower. Your reaction may last for days or weeks, but the chigger is long gone.

Rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball, dab it on as much as needed. This has help tremendously. Darn chiggers.
Would rubbing alcohol help dry it out and make it heal? It doesn't really itch, but it's slightly painful.

Put amonia on cotton ball & place on the bite for itching, re-apply as needed.

coveer the area with clear fingernail polish. 1) it seals the area and the chiggar suffucates.2) the petrol in the polish is toxic to chiggars

ice pack
oat meal??? bathe in oatmeal

aloe vera/anti itch creams
wash clothes etc
insect repellant / citronella
